The paper discusses the problem of statistical characteristics substantiation during radio equipment diagnostics. To provide serviceability and maintainability of radio equipment is one of the tasks of operation system. The operation system contains the processes of intended use of equipment, maintenance, running repair, continuation of life service and others. During running repair, the procedures of diagnostics, operability recovery and parameters monitoring are performed. The diagnostics process regulates the sequence of searching the failed element in the radio equipment scheme. The decision-making during diagnostics is associated with the errors of the first and second kind. So for efficiency analysis, the probability of correct diagnostics can be used. Such efficiency measure has random nature, but in the literature, only expected value is used to describe it. This paper concentrates on the approach to calculation of the probability density function for efficiency measure with purpose of obtaining the complete information about random value. © 2021 IEEE.

During the circuit breaker breaking process, the behavior of the current zero arc is one of the key factors to determine the success of the gas circuit breaker breaking. Passive optical diagnostics can provide crucial microscopic information about the current zero arc. In this paper, different media current zero arc interference fringes are obtained by laser interferometry diagnostic technology, and the evolution of post-arc electron density is obtained through phase difference inversion. Compared with the decay rates of electron surface density in different arc extinguishing media, the results show that Air < CO2 < SF6, which is consistent with the excellent arc extinguishing performance of SF6 in practical engineering applications. By exploring the comprehensive control mechanism of gas arc post-arc decay process under different factors, this study provides a theoretical basis for the development of new circuit breakers.

When automating a technological process, it is necessary to determine the number and location of sensors (sensor network) in such a way as to ensure the possibility of effective diagnostics of the process and at the same time to reduce the cost of measuring equipment. To solve this problem, it is proposed to use the entropy criterion. For this, an analysis is carried out and possible faults and failures that may arise in the process are identified. Next, the changes in entropy when a fault or failure occurs for each of the possible sensors, are considered. Those sensors that provide the greatest decrease in entropy (increase in information) are selected. © 2021 IEEE.

Machine learning is widely being used in medical field for disease diagnostics and *** area of machine learning is mainly classified into 3 parts: supervised, unsupervised and reinforcement *** machine learning (ML) algorithms are used in this paper for modeling and showing the impact of increased testing on the number of daily confirmed cases of COVID-19. The algorithms used to carry out this study are decision tree regression and random forest regression. Machine learning for modeling has proven to be significant for forecasting and hence decision making over the future course of actions. In this paper, Gaussian process regression has been used for modeling as well as forecasting the daily confirmed cases in South Korea. The results obtained show that if the number of tests conducted is increased to the population of South Korea, approximately equal to 51, 286, 183, the peak in the daily cases is obtained earlier and hence the overall number of daily cases is less compared to current cases.

- In order to improve the accuracy of tank fire control system state evaluation, a new method based on improved K-means is proposed, which takes a certain type of tank fire control system gyroscope group as the research object. The method of evaluating the gyroscope group state of fire control system based on means clustering algorithm. This method adopts the basic principle of Kmeans algorithm to reduce the subjective factors in the evaluation process. Principal component analysis is used to extract data features, and then the initial clustering center is selected by minimum variance to reduce the randomness of the initial clustering center and improve the accuracy. In view of the lack of data samples, the bootstrap small sample statistical method is integrated. Finally, benchmark sample data and test data are used to verify the feasibility and accuracy of the method. © 2021 IEEE.

The “digital twin” technology fits well into the ideology of building intelligent fault-tolerant control systems. The technology is based on the premise that for each system it is possible to create a representation in the form of two systems -physical and virtual, including all information about the physical system. In this case, a constant “mirror image” occurs: the virtual system “displays” the real one, and vice versa. The basis of the digital twin in this report is the SIMULINK model of a technical system, updated by data received from a real object. When modeling based on the SIMULINK model, the tasks of diagnostics and fault tolerance are solved in parallel with the operation of a real object. The results of solving these problems -fault diagnoses and parameters of reconfiguration / restructuring of regulators -are transferred from the virtual environment of the digital twin to the real object. Another important task solved within the framework of the “digital twin” technology is forecasting. In the context of this work, we are talking about solving the problem of predicting the occurrence of faults. To predict the occurrence of malfunctions and, accordingly, early detection of potential equipment failure, it is necessary to calculate the degradation function of equipment characteristics in real time, determine and correct the residual life. As a result, there is a reserve of time for repair and maintenance work at a minimum cost and without downtime.

This work presents an algorithm designed to analyse voltage signals in Photovoltaic (PV) systems that aim to describe voltage changes in terms of operation and maintenance (O&M) corrective actions for further PV yield optimization. The algorithm examines daily voltage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to detect and diagnose abnormalities. The process employs stringent data quality checks, statistical analysis, and control charts. The results clearly indicate the effectiveness of the system in identifying performance impairing issues, such as fluctuations in voltage, obstruction of sunlight by vegetation, accumulation of dirt, and decreases in voltage levels. Visual evaluation emphasises the significance of these diagnostics for proactive maintenance, and thereby guaranteeing the reliability and effectiveness of PV systems. This methodology improves the operating performance of PV systems, hence enhancing their sustainability and economic feasibility.

Effective and reliable monitoring and diagnostics of process control installations is of utmost importance, as they are important part of world's economy. Detection of faulty behavior fits really well into this problem. Most of known results provides good techniques for analysing steady states, but have issues with the transients. In this paper we propose a new method for detecting anomalies in transient states using combination of Gaussian processes and data depth functions. We create a model of a transient signal and using its parameters also a model for candidate for fault analysis. Their similarity is verified using data depth. We present how such application works for a water tank system and different types of data depth.

Objectives/Scope: Subsea production systems can benefit today from the application of partial electrification concepts in hybrid scenarios coexisting with electro-hydraulic (E/H) control systems. This paper is based on a real project that included a system of conventional E/H subsea production trees, manifolds, and a boosting station, together with a subsea distribution and control system. Based on this architecture, an alternative field concept optimized for partial electric actuation resulted in very competitive commercial scenarios in addition to operational benefits and increased sustainability. Methods, Procedures, process: Using electric actuators for valves on subsea production system structures is becoming more common but is still limited. The reason for this limitation is that the systems are often not fully optimized for these uses. There are operational and conceptual differences between traditional electro-hydraulic systems and electric actuation systems. For many years subsea engineers have applied proven field and system concepts and established work practices to field development and subsea control scenarios, which might not have been successful if applied to electric actuation without further change. Electric actuators cannot replace hydraulic actuators without also rethinking the underlying system architecture. Results, Observations, Conclusions: When alternative configurations were analyzed, the basic architecture was maintained. But instead of simply replacing the hydraulic actuator with electric actuators, it was important to consider how the actuators were connected to the control system in terms of distance, communication, and overall layout. Holistic optimization of the subsea distribution and control system introduces significant benefits to the whole system. The Mauddud formation in Bahrah field located in north Kuwait is a low permeability carbonate formation with moderate to high oil viscosity. As the field development phase progressed, the field started suffering from production decline and reservoir pressure depletion due to lack of pressure maintenance. This work presents the entire process of identification of a potential candidate for multistage hydraulic re-stimulation including operational preparations, re-execution, and analysis of post-treatment results. The interest in restimulating wells has been driven by multiple factors-the desire to arrest the steep decline curves of wells, to fully drain formation and to increase the EUR of the well through achieving additional stimulated reservoir along the lateral completions. The development strategy in Bahrah field was to drill horizontal wells and complete them with multistage stimulation sleeves and were operated by a ball-drop system from the surface. There are several reasons to consider restimulating a well, and without properly assessing the goal of a particular restimulation treatment, it can be difficult to discern which candidate wells are best positioned for economic success. After candidate selection, developing a solution phase that will accomplish the treatment's goal and overcome operational challenges to selectively close sleeves and open target sleeves, and to confirm and diagnose such functionality, but also address reservoir challenges such as restimulation of hydraulically fractured depleted and low-pressure reservoirs is one of the most important challenges. The Nitrogen (N2) Foamed acid, used in this methodology, is a finely dispersed mixture of nitrogen gas bubbles within hydrochloric acid liquid which increases the volume of the active acid, improves penetration, and diverts fluid from high permeability zones into low permeability zones. This in turn, enables to control fluid loss, maximize conductivity, and provide gas expansion to assist fl
