control of combustion processes based on optical variables can increase efficiency and reduce contaminant emissions in many industrial settings. Nowadays, optical variables such as total radiation Rad(t) and flame temperature T-f are widely used for combustion diagnostics but not yet integrated into closed-loop control schemes, given by the combustion complexity and computational limitations. This paper advances toward a model-based control solution by finding a suitable structure for modeling the dynamic behavior of these optical variables. Evaluations using Akaike's Information Criterion and accuracy over field measurements show that Hammerstein and Wiener structures can accurately model both total radiation in a ladle furnace preheater and flame temperature in a coal boiler, considering SISO and TISO scenarios.

The synchronization of pedals to each other to preserve bipedal motion is based on electronic synchronization via master slave. This arrangement must be changed in each half rotation. It has been a standard medical practice of diagnostic test laboratories as part of the legal process to archive every test sample for a specific period just in case the patients return for re-tests. Archiving tested samples involves identification, placing them in pallets and recording the position as part of the database to ease out the retrieval of the same for later purposes. The pallets will be preserved for any future reference. The automation built as part of the work involved the fabrication of a Gantry robot with the development of hardware and software systems for application and controls. The application work involved the detection of vacuum tubes, picking from source pallets and placing them in destination pallets after categorization concerning departments. The image processing algorithm involved training the model on annotated datasets, employing the YOLO algorithm and PyTorch. The designed Gantry robot can archive an average of 300 vacuum tubes per hour and provides a work volume of 600mm x 500mm x 130mm.

The paper authors analyze the safety control systems synthesis problem for critical technological processes on the railway signalling and automation systems. It is shown that modern control systems for complex distributed systems, such as a railway transport system, are not implemented with absolute safety. Such systems safety is limited by considering only their own failures, control systems and their components external failures, as well as infrastructure objects failures that directly interact with control devices. Other infrastructure facilities are not considered in any way during automatic control and data transfer to on-board automation. We presents the theoretical principles for the safety train traffic control system synthesis, considering the capabilities of equipping infrastructure facilities with highly reliable and safe means of technical diagnostics and monitoring. A simplified structure of the central train traffic control complex is given, considering the diagnosing and monitoring results of all transportation process components. The conditions for the completely safety train traffic control systems synthesis are formulated. The tasks going with the safe control system synthesis problem are noted. The railway infrastructure facilities and rolling stock parameters comprehensive accounting will allow reaching a qualitatively higher level of train traffic safety.

The automotive industry is currently focusing on the development of vehicle software, prompting a shift in the vehicle's ECU structure from a decentralized E/E architecture to a centralized one for efficient software control. Furthermore, a domain gateway communicates with higher-level gateways through CAN-FD or Ethernet protocols and ECUs process more data than ever before. Consequently, the diagnostic framework needs to be aligned accordingly. The predominant diagnostic protocol utilized in the automotive industry is known as UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services). In the past, protocols like UDSonCAN were predominantly employed in a way that enabled gateways to bypass diagnostic messages. This present study proposes an algorithm aimed at optimizing diagnosis for large diagnostic data by converting ECU-originated CAN diagnostic messages to CAN-FD or CAN-FD-TP formats, facilitating their efficient transmission to the diagnostic tool.
