Main directions of the application of the mathematical methods in medical diagnosis are analyzed, their drawbacks are evaluated, principles of diagnosis, based on fuzzy logic are formulated. Mathematical models and algorithms, formalizing the process of diagnostic decisions making on the base of fuzzy logic at quantitative and qualitative parameters of the patient state are developed;mathematical models of the membership functions, formalizing the presentation of quantitative and qualitative parameters of the patients state in the form of the fuzzy sets, used in the models and algorithms of diagnosis and determining the diagnosis in case of diabetic ketoacidosis are developed. Aim of the study is realization of the computer-based expert system for the solution of the problems, dealing with medical diagnosis on the base of fuzzy logic in case of Diabetic Ketoacidosis.

diagnostics and real-time forecasting of the technical condition of aircraft electrical equipment plays a crucial role in the process of operation. In order to diagnose and predict the technical condition, it is reasonable to apply digital twin technology. The functioning of various components of aviation electrical equipment is determined by physical and chemical processes occurring in these objects. To model and analyze the dynamics of such processes, the authors have developed a method of mathematical prototyping of energy processes – a unified approach to building correct (not contradicting physical laws) models of processes of various nature. The equations derived by the method of mathematical prototyping make models with inputs containing measurable characteristics, and outputs containing controlled characteristics of the object. Such models are the mathematical basis of digital twins of aviation electrical equipment. Building of the mentioned mathematical models demands big computational expenses; hence there is a necessity of development of the programtechnological platform of digital twins, providing construction and storage of digital twins of aviation electrical equipment. The construction of digital twins is performed on the ground and the use of already constructed digital twins is performed on board the aircraft. The development of the concept of such a digital twin platform is the focus of this paper.

The article considers the problem of unscheduled repairs of traction rolling stock associated with sudden electrical and mechanical equipment failures. An engineering method for calculating the heating of a locomotive traction engine collector is proposed. A system of differential equations for the thermal balance of copper, its circular arch, steel fasteners, and cooling air has been compiled and solved. The equations of the thermal balance of the circular arch copper are obtained for the steady-state mode, where the cooling air is taken into account as an element participating in the thermal process;equations of the heat balance of the housing;and heat flow from the collector to the cooling air. The Gauss method is used to determine the temperature of the traction engine manifold in a steady-state mode after an hourly mode. The thermal method of non-destructive testing has been chosen to check up the equipment operating under load. The temperature is controlled with the NEC TH-9100 thermal imager. The convergence of the results obtained using the refined calculation method as well as experimentally is estimated with a relative error of 5%. The calculation results are compared to experiment the data obtained as a result of thermal imaging control. The authors recommend using thermal diagnostics as an element of the locomotive condition analysis system in order to increase awareness when making a decision about repairing electrical equipment. © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

A rheological mathematical model that describes the process of formation of internal heat sources in a polymer composite material during its force loading, based on the process of microdestruction formation and the formation of dynamic temperature fields on the surface of the structure during thermal control, has been developed. The methodology as well as software and hardware for computer thermal control and diagnostics of the technical condition of complex spatial structures from PCM based on recording information about dynamic temperature fields have been developed and implemented. A thermal method has been developed for the quality control of composite armored barriers made of aramid materials through the study of the processes of its interaction in real time with a damaging element (kinematic, deformation, wave, thermal processes), which allows to increase the reliability of the quality of diagnostics, increase testing efficiency, visibility and objectivity of the results. © The author(s)

This paper presents an analysis of an innovative method of contactless diagnostics of radio electronics components and units. This method makes it possible to evaluate quality of mechanical joints in products produced in both serial and small serial production. The diagnostic process is based on measuring level of modulated electromagnetic radiation. This information is used to assess assembly quality of electronic equipment. This method is based on the principle of recording contact interference generated when electromagnetic radiation from radio transmitters is applied to the structural elements of radio electronic means. As a result of such an impact, radiating contours of phase-amplitude-modulated vibrations from structural elements are formed. This effect can be used to assess assembly quality of structural elements of radioelectronic devices. A design of the radioelectronic device being tested for assembly quality is exposed to electromagnetic radiation. The electromagnetic radiation spectrum re-emitted by structure may change if parameters of the structural elements are subject to various mechanical influences. In a number of structures with mechanical structural connections, phase-amplitude modulation of re-emitted electromagnetic radiation occurs. By analyzing the spectrum of the re-emitted signal and comparing it with the spectrum of the emitted signal, one can judge the condition or quality of mechanical connections of the structural elements. In the field of electromagnetic compatibility, undesirable phenomenon of formation of contact interference to a radio receiver can be used to assess assembly quality of radio electronic equipment structures. When low-frequency mechanical vibrations are applied to structural elements, additional spectral components are formed.

Malaria is an infectious disease, highly prevalent in world regions with lacking healthcare conditions. Nowadays, malaria diagnostic methods in these endemic regions are mainly based on microscopy and rapid diagnostic tests by immunochromatographic assays. Flere, it is presented an optical diagnostic method, based on reflectance spectrophotometry, through hemozoin (Hz) quantification, towards an innovative non-invasive malaria diagnostic device. Therefore, a set of optical filters, with high transmittance and low full width at half maximum (FWHM) at specific wavelengths, is designed for being integrated in the device. These allow the full reconstruction of the optical reflectance spectrum, able to distinguish between healthy and infected samples, with a detection limit up to 12.5 parasites/mu l of red blood cells. This work presents the design, performance simulation, and optimization of 16 highly selective narrow band-pass optical filters, based on multilayer stacks of SiO2/TiO2 thin films. The optical properties of the thin films layer materials, in particular the refractive indexes, are the main focus in this study. Three different reflective indexes were evaluated and the results showed that, for all the simulated conditions, each filter is sensitive to a single wavelength with a FWHM < 25 nm and peak transmittance intensity > 90%, but slight variations were observed for the different refractive indexes. The simulation results proved that these 16 optical filters designs are extremely sensitive to the material properties, although they are the best option regarding the required optical response, assuring feasibility and being adequate for the fabrication process.

Stator winding fault diagnosis of induction motor operating under the field-oriented control with convolutional neural networks

In this paper deep neural networks are proposed to diagnose inter-turn short-circuits of induction motor stator windings operating under the Direct Field Oriented control method. A convolutional neural network (CNN), trained with a Stochastic Gradient Descent with Momentum method is used. This kind of deep-trained neural network allows to significantly accelerate the diagnostic process compared to the traditional methods based on the Fast Fourier Transform as well as it does not require stationary operating conditions. To assess the effectiveness of the applied CNN-based detectors, the tests were carried out for variable load conditions and different values of the supply voltage frequency. Experimental results of the proposed induction motor fault detection system are presented and discussed.

Step response-based identification is important topic related to modern process control and diagnostics. Although there are several adequate identification methods available, namely graphical and computational techniques, still there is increasing requirement to develop methods for the diagnostics of electric drives. Particular importance can be found in industrial applications where step input might be the only option for excitation-based identification. In this paper, parameter estimation of a diesel engine dynamics is carried out by considering automatized time continuous method of moments approach. The applicability of the proposed moment-based parameter estimation method is validated with experimental step response tests obtained from a hybrid bus operated in diesel engine only mode.

The article presents the results of numerical simulation of operation modes of AC traction electric motors and the diagnostic information processing in MATLAB Simulink. Predicting the stability of the electric traction motor of electric rolling stock in electric railway transport is an important practical task. Emergency operation of the traction motor can lead to a violation of the safety conditions of train traffic and serious injury-prone consequences. Most of the currently used diagnostic systems are developed on the basis of the use of the gamma-percent aging resource of the insulation of electrical machines in accordance with the theory of probability. A significant disadvantage of using the elements of a traction motor as a predicted gamma-percent resource is that, as practice shows, the operating time of real elements of electric machines to the limit state is much higher. As a result, when using the strategy of maintenance and repair on the basis of operating time, using the theory of probability, leads to a significant underutilization of the individual resources inherent in them in the design and production of most products. To reliably predict the residual life of the traction motor elements, it is necessary to perform its complete technical diagnostics. The most reliable methods for diagnosing and predicting the individual residual resource of traction motor elements in operation are statistical methods based on an objective assessment of its technical condition at the current time. The measurement and computing technologies available today have made it possible to use many previously studied physical phenomena in traction motor diagnostics systems, as well as to search for new diagnostic parameters. © 2021 Institute of Physics Publishing. This article describes in detail the process of creating panels from a composite material by the method of vacuum infusion with various types of defects pre-installed in them. The most common types of defects that can arise in parts made of composite materials as a result of a violation of the technological process, the presence of defects in the original material, in particular, reinforcing fabric, as well as defects associated with the low qualification of the master are considered. The creation of such prototypes is necessary for the development of quality control methods for products made of composite materials. A vibroacoustic diagnostic method based on the passage of acoustic waves through a composite product is considered. It is shown that it is possible to estimate the size of a defect and the depth of its occurrence in a composite material by changing the intrinsic frequency characteristics of the wave field. Experimental data on diagnosing panels with defects is presented. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
