The authors pay attention to the monitoring technologies development for complex technical systems. Such systems include many heterogeneous moving and stationary objects. The systems are equipped with both built-in and external means of technical diagnostics and monitoring, which form informational messages about the measurement results and the current state of the components. This information allows service personnel to promptly prevent a shutdown of the process and identify subcritical conditions. This increases the fault tolerance of the objects being diagnosed. When organizing systems for technical diagnosis and monitoring, it is often impossible to provide the necessary completeness and depth of diagnosis for making an accurate diagnosis and subsequent forecasting. However, the obtained information allows the formation of many diagnostic features inherent in the states of the objects being diagnosed. This information may be the source for the implementation at the software level of decision support subsystems by service personnel operating diagnostic objects. To form the initial data for decision support subsystems, the authors proposed to use the following data: data from measuring subsystems, historical data about the diagnostic object, statistical indicators from monitoring systems in automatic mode. As statistical indicators, the probabilities of occurrence in the various components of object defects and data on the diagnosing implementation costs are used. These data vary depending on the service life, the diagnostic object importance for the process, its effect on the system readiness, etc. The source data is used at the software level for the diagnostic algorithm's implementation in the questionnaires form. The questionnaire is a tree-based weighted oriented graph. The output contains the recommended sequence of operations for testing the diagnostic object. Autonomous production control (APC) is able to deal with challenges, inter alia, high delivery accuracy, shorter planning horizons, increasing product and process complexity, and frequent changes. However, several state-of-the-art approaches do not consider maintenance factors contributing to operational and tactical decisions in production planning and control. The incomprehensiveness of the decision models and related decision support tools cause inefficiency in production planning and thus lead to a low acceptance in the manufacturing enterprises. To overcome this challenge, this paper presents a conceptual model for integrating different maintenance strategies in autonomous production control. As a research task, the authors determined an attempt to assess the possibility of applying the methods of vibroacoustic diagnostics to detecting an electrode breakage during electrical erosion processing (EDM). The presence of a diagnostic system allows timely replacing tools and thereby increasing the productivity of the process. During the review of previous research, considerable attention is paid to identifying the main parameters of EDM processing, among which the most important is gap size in the electrode gap. The absence of high-quality automatic control of this gap on the machine makes the EDM process ineffective. Experimental research was conducted on a wire-cut machine "CUT 1000", the materials being processed were alloys VK 60, T15K6 and VOK60 (WC, TiC and ceramic alloys). The authors proposed a dynamic model of the erosion treatment zone and experimentally showed a change in its frequency characteristics with increasing concentration of erosion products. There was established that the measurement of amplitude-frequency characteristics allows detecting an increase in the concentration of erosion products and determining the moment of electrode breakage with a sufficiently high accuracy. The results of research of vibration signals in the processing of conductive ceramics were given. Monitoring was made directly in the process without removing the tool and the workpiece. The problems of processing conductive ceramics and possible ways to solve them by controlling high-frequency vibrations are shown.

This paper introduces pump-down diagnostics, an economical process in which cement sheath integrity, perforation cluster spacing and frac plug integrity can be assessed for every frac stage, potentially leading to improvements in stimulation, completion, cementing and drilling practices. It is based on analyzing wellbore pressure responses occurring at key segments of the wireline pump-down and perforating operation and correlating the results among multiple frac stages and wells in a field or play. A special requirement is that the frac ball (ball check) is inserted in the frac plug and pumped to seat prior to performing perforating operations. A complementary benefit of this process is that selectively establishing injectivity in the most distant perforation cluster can be used to establish inhibited HCl acid (wireline acid) coverage across all perforation intervals for uniform reduction in near-wellbore tortuosity. Reviews of pump-down diagnostics field cases from several unconventional plays provide the following insights. 1.) pump-down diagnostics are time efficient and economical, requiring about 15 minutes per frac stage, 2.) evaluating communication to the previous frac stage can serve as a key performance indicator for treatment control or cement sheath integrity, 3.) pump-down diagnostic results can be more reliable than cement bond log evaluation, 4.) stage isolation characteristics can be strongly affected by cluster spacing. With the development of science and technology, the manufacturing technology of computer numerical control (CNC) has been one of the irreplaceable important technologies in the manufacturing industry. However, due to the lack of sufficient data, the existing evaluation methods cannot accurately evaluate the operational state of CNC machine tools, and an effective maintenance scheduling strategy cannot be proposed. Aiming at the lack of monitoring data and the unclear understanding of the degradation mechanism of CNC machine tools, an operational state evaluation and maintenance decision-making method of multi-state CNC machine tools based on partially observable Markov decision process (POMDP) was proposed. On the one hand, considering the imperfect operational information of CNC machine tools and the influence of different maintenance activities on the degradation process of NC machine tools, a dynamic evaluation model for the operational state was constructed. On the other hand, a maintenance decision model for CNC machine tools was established with the goal of minimizing the total cost of losses (including maintenance costs and potential failures costs). The proposed method is applied to CNC machine tools of cylinder to verify the effectiveness and advancement of the method. © 2020 IEEE.

The subject of paper is the design of control system of slow running bearings including strength analysis and load capacity measurement with the intention to apply the results to the manufacturing operation by the chain conveyor in the paint shop. The diagnostics of low-speed bearings is very desirable in a wide range of industrial sectors. Mainly, in the transport technologies is necessary to identify the damaged bearing before a production failure and large economic losses become. Chain conveyors are used in the bodywork painting process and chain wheels are mounted on shaft, which is currently mounted on two roller bearings. Shaft speed is relatively slow, ones of rpm. There is no doubt that the reliability of this construction has a main influence to the volume of production, especially since the paint shop is the bottleneck of whole production process of cars. The diagnostics of highspeed bearings is based on vibration measurement that is reliably used for many years (Sturm and Forster in Einfuhrung in die Theorie der Technischen Diagnostik. Vieweg+TeubnerVerlag, Wiesbaden, pp. 18-92, 1990 [1];Hauptmann in Sensoren-Prinzipien und Anwendungen. Verlag C. Hanser, Munchen, Wien, 1991 [2]). For the diagnostics of low-speed bearings, there is no appropriate physical method, which has been able to identify the bearing damage.

The dramatic changes of railway surrounding environment seriously affect the railway operation safety, however the change detection mostly depends on human visual interpretation. For facilitating the change detection and reducing the human involvement, this paper proposed an automatic segmentation method for modeling railway surrounding environment using point cloud data and mainly focusing on simplifying the processing process and segmentation accuracy. Firstly, a process-based processing method is used, and only a few parameters need to be set to convert the original data to a specific model. Secondly, by analyzing the geometric and spatial features of various objects, a series of algorithms are selected to achieve the accurate segmentation of the target model. Finally, actual data along a section in Beijing-Langfang high-speed railway is used to verify the proposed method, and the results show that the method achieve a high-Accuracy of segmentation. © 2020 IEEE.

The measurement of depth of a laser capillary in industrial conditions by Optical Coherence Tomography technique is demonstrated in this work. This paper highlights the results achieved by the recent combination of ultrasound sensitive membrane-free optical microphone by XARION and PRECITEC's OCT IDM system. Joint interpretation of the ultrasound spectrograms and the digging curves of the keyholes enables better understanding of the dynamics of the melted metal and determination of the ideal welding parameters.

A new digital technique for objective differential diagnosis of the septic process severity was developed and experimentally tested by phase mapping of microscopic images of histological sections of polycrystalline internal organs and blood films of laboratory rats. the results of statistical analysis of histological sections of the internal organs of rats from control group 1 and research groups 2 to 4 with different severity of septic pathology are presented.
