Conclusions about the technical condition of automation equipment are made based on the results of measuring and monitoring a number of parameters that determine the performance of automation equipment and the system as a whole. Monitoring includes performance monitoring, diagnostics and other types of monitoring. Performance monitoring is carried out regularly when preparing automation equipment and entire systems for use (start-up), during maintenance and repair, as well as during storage. The main task is to determine the technical condition of the entire automation system. During the verification process, settings and adjustments are made. Diagnostic testing of automation or automation systems is carried out in order to identify malfunctions and determine their causes. One of the most important tasks of diagnostic control is the selection of a fault finding strategy (program) in such a way as to minimize the time required to detect faulty elements. Troubleshooting programs vary depending on the method used. The most common are item sequential testing, sequential group testing, and combination testing. Hydroponics is a method of growing plants in a medium containing inorganic nutrients or a nutrient solution, without the use of soil. Hydroponic controller control system design enables automation through remote monitoring and control using various microcontrollers, sensors and networking technologies using the Internet to transmit and receive information from objects and devices. Such systems receive input data from sensors and provide control actions to maintain various parameters within specified ranges. These systems are very economical, and most importantly, they are fully automated and do not require human intervention after placing sprouted plants in the system. The automotive industry is currently focusing on the development of vehicle software, prompting a shift in the vehicle's ECU structure from a decentralized E/E architecture to a centralized one for efficient software control. Furthermore, a domain gateway communicates with higher-level gateways through CAN-FD or Ethernet protocols and ECUs process more data than ever before. Consequently, the diagnostic framework needs to be aligned accordingly. The predominant diagnostic protocol utilized in the automotive industry is known as UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services). In the past, protocols like UDSonCAN were predominantly employed in a way that enabled gateways to bypass diagnostic messages. This present study proposes an algorithm aimed at optimizing diagnosis for large diagnostic data by converting ECU-originated CAN diagnostic messages to CAN-FD or CAN-FD-TP formats, facilitating their efficient transmission to the diagnostic tool. © 2023 IEEE.

The article gives the basic concepts of reliability, performance, durability, considers the issues of changing the technical state of the machine during operation. The models under consideration have the ability to introduce various perturbations in order to simulate physical defects, and numerical simulation on a computer made it possible to obtain solutions in the form of temporary realizations of oscillations for different states of the simulation object. The cooperative use of the full-scale method and mathematical modeling made it possible to reduce the volume of full-scale experiments and apply statistical methods of analysis in the problem of classifying the technical condition by constructing mathematical models of the probability of failure and uptime during their operating time. The content of the main types of machine states is revealed, considerable attention is paid to the issues of identifying and influencing failures and the causes of failures in the machine, the reasons for the loss of performance during operation. © 2023 IEEE.

The paper is devoted to diagnostic tasks in human-machine control systems of automated process control systems (APCS) of nuclear power plants (NPP). diagnostics of NPP equipment and systems is an important task to ensure the safety of NPP operation and allows to improve economic performance. The paper presents the organization of diagnosing the power unit, describes the diagnostic tasks to be solved, decomposes the power unit into diagnostic objects, and offers the connection between the diagnostic processes and the operating modes of the power unit. The paper presents the structure of the diagnostic intelligent information support system for operating personnel, its construction principles, and the interaction between the power unit and diagnostic systems. The developed principles for constructing such a diagnostic system are applied in the development of information tasks for the upper-level systems of APCS, which provide an integral representation of the results of diagnosing equipment and systems of the NPP power unit. © 2022 IEEE.

Testing and controlling algorithms for the temperature conditions in the heat supply systems of buildings and structures provide necessary information and support the control of the flows of the working medium (liquid, gas) in the heat load. This approach allows to monitor the distribution of heat flows in real time. The purpose of controlling this process is to create a mathematical model to determine the time interval for restarting the heat flow control algorithm in the heat supply system with a dependent connection to the heat source, on the basis of which a discretization interval of the heat supply system state probing time should be obtained. This approach is accompanied by appropriate microprocessor support according to the "smart home" scheme. The task was set to use the differential heat balance equation to achieve the aforementioned goal. It is expected to use the dependencies of the functioning of the heating system in stationary and quasi-stationary modes, taking into account transient processes in the event of start, shutdown or emergency stoppage. The methods of mathematical analysis are used to obtain the desired relation. In addition, the solution to this problem is accompanied by a graphical illustration in the Mathcad software environment. An important part of this article is a relatively simple schematic and technical implementation of the obtained solution. As a part of the study of the heat supply process for buildings and structures, a study of the differential equation of the heat balance of the dependent heat supply system of buildings and structures was performed. A working formula for the discrete interval for controlling the parameters of the specified heating system was obtained. The discretization interval of the heat supply time was obtained, which is supported by the real time schematic solution. Electrical explosion method as a powerful tool for one-step synthesizing metallic nanoparticles has raised widely interests. In this paper, experiments were performed with three metal wires, namely copper, tungsten and titanium who are the typical representation of non-refractory and refractory metals. High-speed photography along with electrophysical and optical diagnostics were applied to characterize the electrical explosion. Accordingly, SEM and TEM was used to characterize the micro-morphology of explosion products. XRD was used to detect the phase compositions. Experiment results indicated that the products morphology and particle size distribution were influenced by the dynamic behaviors of the exploding wires. Electrothermal instability (ETI) and secondary breakdown were observed in copper wire explosion, the prominent discrepancies of temperature and density among stratified vapor and plasma channel enlarged the inhomogeneity of particle size. The sufficient plasma process maintained the metal vapor at a relatively high temperature and enhance the coalescence process after nucleation in titanium explosion, and the median diameter of particles increased as a result. The core-corona structure happened in tungsten wire explosion led to special heating mechanism (heat transport and/or radiation instead of Joule heating) which may be responsible for the formation of large-size agglomerates. In order to produce high-quality nanoparticles, except suitable experimental conditions, it is necessary to achieve homogeneous explosions. The critical dynamics behaviors including ETI (stratification), breakdown mode (inner or surface), and coexistent multi-states products (melts/vapor/plasma) under low-density current which caused the inhomogeneity should be further considered and eliminated in nanoparticle production.

In order to determine the key processes of complex manufacturing process and provide effective guidance for production quality and reliability management, a manufacturing process importance analysis method for production quality management was proposed. Firstly, the influence factors were analyzed and concluded into three aspects, which included the influence degree between process nodes, the risk level of the process nodes and the output quality of the process nodes. Secondly, the importance index evaluation system was built based on the indicators of process effects, risk factor and the process capability, whose quantitative methods were proposed respectively. Thirdly, the comprehensive importance index which integrated the authority of expert and the consistency of opinion was proposed based on the triangular fuzzy number. Finally, a case study of 6Cr3Mo nitride steel piston ring manufacturing process was presented to illustrate the validity of the proposed method. © 2021 IEEE.

The article examines the use of Gaussian process Models to simulate the dynamic processes of a Pressurized Water nuclear Reactor for fault detection and diagnostics. The paper illustrates the potential of Gaussian process Models as a tool for monitoring and predicting various fault conditions in Pressurized Water nuclear Reactor power plants, including reactor coolant flow and temperature variations, deviations from nominal working point or faulty power measurements. The article discusses the characteristics and benefits of Gaussian process Models and how they can be utilized to improve: the reliability and accuracy of nuclear power plant anomaly detection, fault diagnosis and decision making process in states of emergency. Overall, this paper highlights the capabilities of Gaussian process Models to enhance the safety, reliability and efficiency of nuclear power plants. The results of this study are expected to provide valuable insights for engineers and researchers in the fields of control engineering and nuclear power.
