In our paper we are going to propose a security mechanism to ensure authentication and confidentiality for a last line defense system. In which an UWSN will be used as platform for last line radar system intended to detect and destroy military targets. The proposed system will act as a rescue system launched when the traditional radar and sonar systems are in the incapacity to detect and destroy targets due to the high technology of the enemy or the destruction of the traditional naval system.

Human Activity Recognition (HAR) has found many applications in several disciplines such as smart home and elderly healthcare units. The robustness of radarsensor against the environmental conditions make it a suitable candidate to recognize human activities. In this paper, we used Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave radar (FMCW) radar for recognizing human activities in an unconstrained environment. Seven different activities are performed randomly at different distances from radar and a multi-class classification problem is formulated. Performed activates are recorded with single FMCW radar and a deep-learning classifier is used for recognition. The target range variations generated while performing the predefined human activates are fed as an input to the features extraction block of three Convolutional Neural Network and a softmax classification is performed. Overall recognition accuracy of 91% is achieved.

Dielectric measurements of plastic explosives using a loaded waveguide technique via vector network analyzer and banded MMW extender modules operating at V-band (50 - 75 GHz) are performed. A portion of explosive sample is inserted into a waveguide shim 2 mm in length and trimmed flush with the faces of the shim. Two-port S-parameter measurements were conducted on the explosive;the empty shim is similarly characterized. Using standard waveguide equations and the measured length of the shim, the complex S-parameter data obtained with the filled shim is optimized to four free parameters - complex permittivity and distance offsets for the two sample faces relative to the calibration planes. Permittivity data obtained from measurements of the plastic explosives C-4, Primasheet 1000, Primasheet 2000 and Semtex 10 are presented. Results obtained for C-4 are comparable to other data in open literature. Excellent agreement between the experiment and the fit is obtained using a constant permittivity across the waveguide band, indicating that dispersion is not significant for these materials.
