The proliferation of surface waste in water bodies poses significant environmental and ecological challenges. Traditional methods of waste detection are often labor-intensive and limited in scope. This paper presents a novel approach to surface waste detection using artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced imaging technologies. Leveraging cutting-edge techniques such as deep learning algorithms, high-resolution satellite imagery, and real-time data processing, our system offers an automated solution for identifying and monitoring waste in water bodies. We developed a robust AI model trained on diverse datasets, including satellite and drone-captured images, to detect various types of surface waste with high accuracy. The system integrates real-timeprocessing capabilities to provide timely alerts and actionable insights for environmental management. Evaluation results demonstrate that our approach significantly improves detection accuracy and operational efficiency compared to conventional methods. This research contributes to the advancement of smart environmental monitoring systems and offers a scalable solution for mitigating the impact of surface waste on aquatic ecosystems.

Aiming at the problem that the accuracy of underwater target detection algorithms is poor due to the complex marine environment, a target detection network algorithm that can quickly detect four types of marine organisms is proposed, which is improved based on YOLOX. Firstly, the Double-pair CLAHE-Gamma multi-scale imageprocessing is carried out through the marine images to alleviate the blurring effect of image degradation caused by the marine environment, which facilitates the subsequent detection task. Secondly, the SimAM attention mechanism and GhostMode are introduced to improve the original backbone CSPDarkNet, which improves the representation capability of the network while preserving the target features. Then, inspired by the RFB feature model, the feature network RFB-liteSimAM is proposed to replace the backbone feature extraction network SPPBottleneck, to improve the size of the sensory field region. Finally, the advantages of image high-level features and bottom-level features are combined by introducing two weighted eigenfeatures that increase the feature propagation ability at different levels and improve the detection accuracy. The experiments show that the improved algorithm achieves a mAP of 81.13% compared to YOLOX-s, which is an improvement of 3.59%. Compared with YOLO-m, the mAP is improved by 0.88 %, the model size is reduced by 66.24 %, and the FLOPs are reduced by 65.20%. The algorithm is helpful to be applied to the navigator for the real-time detection of marine organisms, which can provide a reference for the detection of other marine targets.

Medical image registration faces challenges due to limited effective receptive fields and inadequate understanding of global spatial correspondences in traditional Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN). The existing methods, while addressing these issues, also introduced problems, such as increased model complexity, which results in higher computational costs and reduced real-time performance. In response, we propose the Multi Scale Pyramid Registration Network (MS-PRNet), which not only effectively handles large-scale displacements but also avoids the increased computational complexity associated with existing methods. MS-PRNet utilizes a hierarchical scaling method to process image pairs, calculating displacement deformation fields at multiple levels and integrating them to produce accurate registration outcomes. Tested on the LPBA40 and Mindboggle101 datasets, MS-PRNet outperformed existing methods, particularly excelling in regions with complex anatomical structures. This approach improves diagnostic precision and enhances clinical applications without compromising computational efficiency.
