Vector is the application programs complex developed by the Moscow Technical University of communications and Informatics (MTUCI). It includes programs of the modulated signals vector synthesis named "Vector-VSG"and "Vector-VSA"which is aimed at the vector analysis of modern telecommunication system signals, testing of individual functional nodes, radio frequency blocks, and devices in general. The programs have a similar interface and the same principles of organization and execution. As a result of the "Vector"package development, a description of nine laboratory research performed by students using the Vector signal synthesis and analysis software package was developed. © 2022 IEEE.

The paper considers some practical aspects arising from the use of "transparency windows" (range of symbol time durations of information sequence when error probability per symbol due to intersymbol distortion is zero) to increase spectral efficiency in radio communication systems using multiposition phase-shift keyed signals with n discrete states. The functioning of communication systems was analyzed in the presence of frequency detuning and error produced by phase meter for various amplitude-frequency responses of a linear radio path. The admissible operating conditions and gains in information transfer rate of such systems are determined.

Based on the methods of optical spectroscopy a new principle of generating error signals in systems for multicriteria control is proposed. These systems are intended for control of processes that are accompanied by emission of electromagnetic radiation in the optical range. Instead of traditional measuring devices using a multichannel optical spectrometer and a diffraction spectral device with a fiber-optic transmission system (FOTS) of analyzed signals to generate error signals is proposed. An analysis of the formation of error signals based on spectral processing and detection of optical signals by the considered spectral devices is given. Spectral processing in these devices can be described in matrix form, and devices itself can be determined as multidimensional linear systems. © 2022 IEEE.

The fiber-optic data transfer systems spectral efficiency factor widening conception is proposed. Two kinds of signal transmission rate, - bitrate and baudrate, - and two kinds of spectrum definitions, - frequency and wavelength, - are being analyzed associated with the spectral efficiency factor. Four modifications of spectral efficiency are designed based on four pair transmission rate - spectrum combinations. In addition to the classic spectral efficiency SE the combination set includes: baud efficiency BE, spectral - wavelength efficiency SWE and baud - wavelength efficiency BWE. The transmission rate influence on spectral efficiency factor modifications is being analyzed. Conception of complex multiplexing is being used for fiber - optic data transfer systems transmission rate forming mechanism modeling.

The article discusses the technologies and standards of modern communication systems in terms of transceiver devices structure from analog-to-digital conversion to a stream of symbol decisions at the demodulator output. Structural classification of wired/wireless networks, communication standards, types of signal modulation has been carried out. The features of the transceivers hardware implementation, transmission rates and operating conditions of communication channels has been also taken into account. As a result of the analysis, a set of modulation types has been determined, which are currently used in most communication channels, as well as the main parameters of its operation. © 2022 IEEE.

The importance of challenges has been recognized by certain part of education professionals in Russia in the last 25 years. But only few years ago the structural shaping the management of professionalization for on board communications in line with the global trends had been commenced. The new social and economic environment demands a drastic change in the teaching process, introducing new standards and approaches for the quality measuring criteria to be introduced to meet the requirements of effective activity and demands of on board communications' employers. This is why the working out and introducing the vocational standards has become the basic instrument to adjust the employers' demands and opportunities of high education Institute (HEI). This mainstream direction of activity is considered to be a priority and basic line for the state program documents defining the guideline policy for science and education development. The concept of modernizing the vocational education should cover mechanisms for the realization of social functions, educational institutions, taking into account the global, federal and regional external trends. In compliance with these priorities we believe it is necessary to focus on the following aspects: (a) factors of social and professional background;(b) system factors;(c) principles of professional education's modernization;(d) methods of professional education's modernization;(e) the potential risks.

Recently, the issues of theory and practice of multi-position systems for various purposes remain relevant. A feature of such systems is the use of spatiotemporal methods of processing information embedded in wave fields and radio signals received simultaneously in spatially spaced positions. Such multi-position systems have a fairly wide variety and applications- radar radio navigation, radio geodesy, radio astronomy, ets. In such systems the mutual binding of spaced positions is necessary not only in time, but also in high frequency phases. Such systems use information about the spatiotemporal characteristics of the electromagnetic field. including in the ratio of the initial phases of the signals at the inputs of spased positions. The solution of the problem of synthesizing the optimal synchronization structure of multi-position radio engineering system is obtained on the basis of the theory of nonlinear filtering and stochastic optimal control. © 2022 IEEE.

Spectral efficiency of the optical fiber within the cable construction signal transmission is being analyzed. Spectral efficiency modifying variety formed by bit/baud rate and frequency/wavelength spectrum bandwidth pairwise combining are being expanded to spatial multiplexing. Spatial - spectral efficiency category and parameter are proposed. Baud-wavelength efficiency parameter implementation is being discussed. Analytic equations are derived for signal transmission rate calculations using spectral efficiency parameter as input data. Signal transmission rate calculation examples are presented.
