A method of the antenna array far-field Radiation Pattern (RP) measurement is considered. This method is designed for the usage with the receiving Digital Beamforming Antenna Arrays (DBAA). Such type of antenna arrays typically does not have a radiofrequency output. Hence, the standard methods of the RP measurement, based on the radiation and the reception of the monochromatic probing signal, cannot be used for the DBAA RP measurement. The proposed method assumes the radiation of a probing signal modulated by a pseudo-noise sequence and the base-band processing of the DBAA output signal by means of a matched filter or a correlator. The paper presents the description of the measurement setup and the mathematical explanation of the measuring procedure. It has been shown that the accuracy of the RP measurement depends on the Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) at the outputs of the DBAA channel receivers, the number of the array channels and the number of the pseudo-noise sequence symbols. The accuracy increases on 3 dB each time as the number of the array antennas or the pseudo-noise sequence symbols is doubled. This result is confirmed by the simulation of the RP measurement of the eight and the sixteen channel linear antenna arrays with the usage of the maximum length pseudo-noise sequence of 1023 and 2047 symbols.

The paper studies the process of folding the spectrum of a bandpass signal as a result of uniform sub-Nyquist sampling. Most publications on bandpass sampling consider optimal sampling to avoid aliasing. This article takes into account the possibility of aliasing of an arbitrary degree. The knowledge gained in this area is necessary for use in the study of multi-channel multi-frequency sampling, which provides the ability to restore a bandpass signal distorted by aliasing in channels. To make it possible to study the consequences of sub-Nyquist sampling at any ratio of sampling frequency and signal spectrum width and at any position of the signal on the frequency axis, at any degree of aliasing. Research is carried out on a plane whose axes are the lower bounding frequency of the signal band and the frequency itself. It is shown that the structure of this plane is a periodic continuation along both axes of a certain pattern. Therefore, it is enough to limit ourselves to studying only this pattern. The paper provides a structural analysis of this pattern and derives expressions that allow one to understand the consequences of sub-Nyquist uniform sampling for any of its parameters.

The auxiliary braking systems of vehicles of category M1, installed from the factory and affecting deceleration, are considered. Comparison of the results of steady-state deceleration on dry asphalt concrete pavement at an air temperature of +17 ± 0,5°C will be carried out. For further experimental studies, factors and systems will be identified. Studies have shown that auxiliary systems affect the stability of deceleration and its magnitude. Comparison of vehicle deceleration with different blocks of auxiliary systems is made. The influence of developing auxiliary systems allows for a shorter braking distance, improved braking stability and an increased deceleration value. An analysis was carried out of the development of the testing system for unmanned aircraft systems, including those controlled through artificial intelligence technologies. It is shown that existing aviation testing technologies do not fully meet the requirements for testing unmanned aircraft systems. A list of technological features and requirements for testing unmanned aircraft systems is provided. A comparative assessment of the cost of testing unmanned aircraft systems using existing and innovative technologies intended for testing such systems is given. Using the developed computer model of a certification testing laboratory for unmanned aircraft systems, the optimal financial and functional indicators of such a laboratory were determined, ensuring the minimum cost of certification tests available to small and medium-sized businesses.

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) are actively used to solve various problems: monitoring the earth's surface, delivering goods, relaying signals, special military tasks, etc. A feature of UAV monitoring of the earth's surface is the need to transmit the video stream recorded by the on-board optical-electronic system of the device to a ground control point in real time. To transmit high-quality video, a radio channel with high information transmission speed is required. The construction of such communication channels is possible through the use of signals with complex signal-code structures. One of the ways to increase the efficiency of information transmission and construct complex signal-code structures is to use the method of expanding the signal spectrum. This article discusses the option of building a communication channel with medium-range unmanned aerial vehicles based on direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) signals. It has been shown that it is possible to build a communication channel with a UAV with a speed of up to 150 Mbit/s on a range of more than 100 km when using not very long pseudorandom sequence (PRS). The use of longer PRS will significantly reduce the communication range, but will significantly increase the energy secrecy of the channel, which is important for special-purpose UAVs.

The paper proposes an extension of the shaping filter method for modeling cyclostationary random processes (CSRP) belonging to the subclass of pulse-amplitude modulated signals. The proposed method consists in utilizing an elementary process with cyclostationary properties followed by its subsequent transformation using a linear time-invariant (LTI) system with a known impulse response. The elementary CSRP is chosen to be an infinite sequence of Dirac delta functions uniformly distributed over the time dimension with a constant period. The weights of the Dirac deltas are modeled as independent identically distributed random variables so that it preserves the structural periodicity of the pulse process. The transformation of the sequence by means of the LTI system described by its impulse response makes it possible to obtain the desired shape of the pulses forming the process whose spectral properties can be described by means of its spectral correlation function (SCF). As an simulation example, the derivation of the analytical expression for SCF components is carried out for the sequence modulated with Barker code; the comparison to an uncoded random amplitude pulse modulated sequence is conducted.

Article focuses at research Bit Error Rate (BER) for Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) infocommunication system with Power-Domain Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (PD-NOMA) for two user equipments. Developed imitation model in MATLAB/Simulink environment with Symbol Level - Successive Interference Cancellation (SL-SIC) is presented. Simulation parameters are equivalent of downlink 5G New Radio (5G NR) standard by 3GPP for second numerology with Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (QPSK) and Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM) with order M = 16, 64, 256 on subcarriers. Presented dependencies BER from Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) for different levels mean power of signals on subcarriers for Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channel. All presented results received for sample size providing confidence level no lower 90% and relative accuracy no more 10%.

A multifactorial methodology has been proposed that allows you to develop precisely constructed routes and solve specific problems, including taking into account weather conditions, terrain, etc. The experience gained during initial measurements showed that in difficult weather conditions it is very important to quickly, in real time, receive information about the situation on the ground. This will make it possible to make operational decisions on the use of equipment in work area. Advantage of the presented solution is also its autonomy. The obtained data were experimentally verified and compared. A methodology has been developed to achieve the goal set in the work, equipment has been selected for its implementation, and possibility of nodes interfacing used at software and hardware level has been shown. The technology proposed in this work for constructing and detailing routes can be used to more effectively represent the geographical features of a real area and, in particular, for the deployment of communication nodes taking into relief account, as well as in projects when creating various models.

The presented research analyzes the energy-based detection (ED) problem of a signal propagating in a wireless severely fading channel. To account for the worst-case propagation conditions, the newly presented for wireless communications Lomax channel model (exhibiting the hyper-Rayleigh conditions for all the possible parameters' range) was used. The system performance was characterized by the average probability of detection, receiver operating characteristic (ROC), and the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC), that were studied as the functions of the system and the channel parameters (i.e., the sensing base., the average signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), and the SNR probability distribution function scale parameter). The results of the numerical simulation were analyzed in comparison with the existing regulation implied by the 5G NR standard on the ED for medium access procedure.

Coherent optical receivers have the following features: shot-noise-limited receiver sensitivity with sufficient local oscillator (LO) power;high frequency resolution at the intermediate frequency or baseband stage in highly dense frequency division multiplexed channels;improved receiver sensitivity compared with that of intensity modulation/direct detection (IMDD) systems;and active realization of multilevel signal transmission using not only intensity but also phase, frequency, and polarization states. With the advent of coherent binary phase shift keying (BPSK) receivers in orbit, it is absolutely imperative to establish interoperability between the different optical communications systems. A bread board model (BBM) of an optical receiver that can demodulate both IMDD and coherent optical signals for free-space laser communications has been developed. In this receiver, the carrier phase is recovered after homodyne detection by means of digital signal processing (DSP), which is implemented using a field programmable gate array (FPGA) for both estimating the carrier phase and recovering the payload data. The first BBM of the optical coherent receiver has the ability to demodulate 3-Gbit/s coherent BPSK and 6-Gbit/s quadrature phase-shift keying (QPSK) signals. In this paper, preliminary experimental results of the real-time coherent BPSK communication performance at the OC-48c data rate in the laboratory are presented.
