With use Cobb-Douglas ratio the balance of information resource of telecommunication system was to achieve target function and to ensure the security of information under conditions of additive information technology impacts justified. Information conflict of components of the protected system with means of destructive effects is reproduced in the form of implementation of the conflict component in its information area during joint operation. The process of protecting telecommunication system is on changing the private target functions of the components to prevent penetration and implement the conflict component in the information area based. Safe state of the system is by results of maximization of probability of realization of its target function at set parameters of cycles and limitations on control resources determined. An iterative procedure for evaluating the change of the target function of the system and resource consumption for neutralization of the conflict component has been built.

Dynamic routing protocols transmit routing information in a finite time, resulting in errors in determining the optimal packet route. As a consequence, the efficiency of data exchange may deteriorate, for example, increasing the time spent on the network packets. The aim of the work is to study the behavior of the network in the case of unpredictable topology changes caused by sudden multiple failures of network equipment. The solution is carried out with the help of a specialized simulation model that allows you to track the change in network parameters in the process of its operation. Simulation showed that equipment failures lead to a qualitatively new network behavior, for the characteristics of which, along with the traditional indicator “packet delivery time”, two characteristics are additionally defined: “the proportion of lost packets” and “the probability of packet looping”. A comparative analysis of several variants of the implementation of routing algorithms using multi-step and one-step metrics is performed and the conditions for choosing the optimal parameters of routing process control are determined. The results of the research allow us to determine the requirements for the speed of transmission of route information, characteristics of route labels and access control parameters depending on the network topology.

In channelized receivers which are used for electronic support systems, when a pulse modulated signal is received, rabbit ear effect occurs at the out of band channels of the channelizer. In this paper rabbit ear problem and its reasons are analyzed, different methods based on both amplitude and frequency are proposed for detection and elimination of the rabbit ear effect. Proposed methods are tested at the center and at the edge of the channel for signals that have different pulse width. Suggested methods detected and eliminated most of the rabbit ear signals. This design which can be easily performed on real time signal processing systems is implemented on FPGA board that samples in 2.5 GHz. Experimental results of the methods are presented.

The article reveals the reasons for the low efficiency of modern methods for detecting latent defects in the chips of super operative memory (further, memory chips) used in digital signal processing systems. The first reason is due to the constant decline in technological design standards. The second reason is that modern systems of functional testing the memory chips are not able to detect latent defects in the chips in real time. As a third reason, we can point out the insufficient effectiveness of modern “marching” tests, which are widely used for testing memory chips. In this paper, we propose a complex approach to organizing memory chips testing. The main idea this approach is supporting a close relationship is maintained between the mathematical and topological models of the tested chip. It is this connection that eliminates the first two of the above reasons for the low efficiency of memory chips testing methods. The hardware-software complex, that implements this approach, ensures the maintenance of a unified information environment based on the original hardware-oriented programming language STeeL. To eliminate the third reason mentioned above, a special component “Memory” was implemented as part of complex, which, unlike the well-known implementations, allows you to create functional tests of any complexity. This component implements the version of the “marching” test, which is a short dynamic memory test based on statistics from previous tests. The latter circumstance significantly reduces the total time spent on testing chips.

A 2D interactive sound communication (2DISC) system and the associated system-on-chip are proposed in this paper. The system provides an intelligent way of communicating with stereophonic sound to enhance human cognitive ability during sound communication. The system generates stereophonic sound using mono sound sources and the positions of the listener and the speaker provided by a GPS. This stereophonic sound allows the listener to determine the position of the speaker simply by listening to the sound. Optimized stereophonic sound generating methods are embedded in the system, resulting in a small-sized design. The system can easily replace the currently popular communication systems that use the mono sound sources such as walkie-talkies or citizens' band transceivers. Several tests are carried out successfully using an FPGA board and a PC to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed system.

In this paper, authors conducted a successful differential power analysis DPA attack on an Advanced Encryption Standard AES hardware implementation on Flash-based FPGA technology. Correlation analysis method is used to reduce DPA attack data processing time. It is chosen between three methods analysing power consumption on DPA attacks. An experimental set-up is defined to implement on an FPGA board critical AES modules and DPA attack. As main contribution, this work proved the success of DPA attack on Flash-based FPGA. Experimental results showed that for different secret key values a maximum of correlation with the correct key is obtained during 20 mn of data processing time.

Communication systems are extensively used in a large number of applications such as radar, aerospace, naval/maritime communication, mobile communication and many more. The most important module in designing communication system includes design of modulators and demodulators. Frequency modulation (FM) is widely used for various applications ranging from radio communication to on-board systems for aerospace and spacecraft applications. FM demodulators are used to demodulate the FM signals transmitted from such systems. In this paper, a novel attempt is made to use Goertzel algorithm for FM demodulation and its performance is compared with the system designed using Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). Also a reusable Goertzel block based FM demodulator is proposed which reduces the hardware resources on increasing the number of frequencies to be detected. All the above mentioned systems are implemented on a Xilinx Virtex-5 board and their results are reported. 60-82% of hardware resources are saved on using proposed reusable Goertzel block based demodulator, which inturn saved the power consumption of the proposed design.

The emergence of on-board processors (OBPs) allows the manipulation of signals at the satellite transponder which can lead to efficient implementation of digital predistortion techniques. However, due to limitations like the weight, power and radiation hardening requirements of the hardware in satellites, generally less powerful digital signal processors (DSPs) and field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) are employed onboard. This paper provides a comparison between the existing memoryless Pth order inverse predistortion technique and an improved low-effort and less complex Kth order memoryless polynomial predistortion technique, both of which can be directly implemented in satellites using OBPs. The latter predistorter uses a modified LMS algorithm to find the optimum predistorter which leads to a lower residual error and bit error ratio (BER) with a faster convergence as compared to traditional LMS algorithms. The simulation results presented show that by implementing digital predistortion on-board we can not only achieve gains in the system BER performance but also in the power efficiency due to the reduced input back-off (IBO) and output back-off (OBO) requirements of the HPA.

We have designed and constructed an 8 channel system for the analog processing, the digitization, the digital processing and acquisition of signals from CdTe / CdZnTe discrete detectors. The system consists of: Discrete charge preamplifiers, discrete semi-Gaussian shapers, 8 A/D converters working in parallel, FPGA for the pre-processing of the digital signals, high voltage module, USB link for the PC and software. The detectors can be packaged together with a JFET front end transistor and plugged in the mother board which contains the rest of the charge amplifiers, the shapers and single to differential signal converters. The system can be used for the characterization of the detectors or as a portable instrument for spectroscopy.

Electronic Support Measures (ESM) devices are key to situational awareness of the electromagnetic environment in the field. However, the current ESM systems tend to be physically large and cumbersome. To mitigate this problem, a portable ESM device is proposed. In this work, a compact single-board computer (SBC) is coupled with a Software Defined Radio (SDR) to create such a device. signals received by the SDR are sampled within the SDR and sent to the SBC. Those signals are then processed with various signal processing and machine learning algorithms to perform detection, measurement, and classification tasks. Later, these results are reported to the user.
