Discrete wavelet transform (DWT) has gained widespread recognition and popularity in imageprocessing due to its ability of capturing energy of signal in a few energy transform value. As well as it has also ability to underline and represent time-varying spectral properties of many transient and other nonstationary signals. In DWT denoising is done only in detail coefficient, this offer advantage of smoothness and adaption. However DWT has a lack of shift invariance. This shift-variance is a major problem with the use of DWT for transient signal analysis and pattern recognition applications. Denoising of images with the DWT some time also give visual artifacts due to Gibbs phenomena in neighbourhood of discontinuities. In this paper, a shift-invariant analysis scheme is proposed for removing of additive Gaussian noise in stationary image. An investigation has been made on discrete wavelet transform with shift invariant in terms of PSNR and visual performance.

To speed-up the proliferation of advanced 3-Dimensional (3D) technologies into the consumer market, the influence of these technologies on the perception of 3D video should be determined. Currently, this can only be achieved using either subjective assessment techniques or 2D objective quality evaluation models. Even though the subjective assessment techniques are better than the objective models from the accuracy point of view, they are time consuming and costly. Thus, 2D objective quality evaluation models correlating with Human visual System (HVS) should be used to predict the 3D video quality perception of users in a reliable way with less effort. Video Quality Metric (VQM), which is a standardized 2D objective quality measurement model due to its well correlation with HVS, is used to predict 3D video quality perception of users reliably. However, ambient illumination context of the viewing environment, which has an effect on 3D video quality perception, is not considered in the quality assessments by VQM. Content adaptation is one of the key applications that need to use the perceived 3D quality assessments under different ambient illumination conditions at regular basis for ensuring improved video experience of users. Therefore, the standardized VQM model is extended using ambient illumination context and content related contexts (i.e., motion, structural feature, and luminance contrast) to predict 3D video quality measurement under a particular ambient illumination condition. The results prove that the extended VQM model can be efficiently utilized to predict the video quality perception of 3D video under a particular ambient illumination condition.

Being at the nexus of robotics and ocean engineering, underwater robots have been a developing research area. They can be used for deep sea infrastructure inspections, oceanographic mapping, and environmental monitoring. Autonomous navigation skills are essential for doing these activities successfully, especially given the poor communication conditions in underwater locations. Autonomous navigation technologies, such as path planning and tracking, have been one of the fascinating but difficult issues in the field of study due to the extremely dynamic and three-dimensional settings. Due to their short detection ranges and poor visibility, cameras have not received much attention as an underwater sensor. However, using visual data from cameras is still a popular technique for underwater sensing, and it works particularly well for close-range detections. In this study, the enhancement of underwater vision is achieved by combining the max-RGB and shades of grey methods. Then, to solve the problem of poorly illuminated underwater images, a technique known as RCNN (Region-based Convolutional Neural Network) is proposed. This procedure tells the mapping relationship how to create the illumination map. Following imageprocessing, an RCNN strategy for underwater detection and classification is recommended. Two improved strategies are then used to change the RCNN structure in accordance with the properties of underwater vision. In order to deal with the challenges of object tracking and detection in underwater communication, a correlation filter tracking algorithm (CFTA) method was created. The properties of the invariant moment and area were looked at after the object's region had been extracted using a threshold segment and morphological technique. The findings show that the suggested method is effective for underwater target tracking based on RCNN-CFTA in the aquatic environment. Due to the rapid development in digital technology, image enhancement has become a necessity to extract data and use it in many fields that may be medical, agricultural security, and many other fields. There are many image enhancement technique used in imageprocessing. The proposed method have been presented in this paper attempt to improve the performance of histogram equalization with different kind of medical image by using Gaussian filter and gamma where combined together to improve the illumination, contrast of images ,reduce the noise, and also improve image quality coefficients. Try to measure the entropy of image and compare the result of output image with input image and to give desired result. The quality coefficients for the medical images processed with the HE and Gaussian filter and Gamma with certain value, according to the scientific proof. When the image quality was improved, the visual perception was improved.

The article describes the method of noise elimination is linear averaging over neighboring pixels in a spatial neighborhood. In this case, the arithmetic mean of its neighbors is used as the new value of the central pixel. The larger the window size, the stronger the averaging occurs. Linear averaging partially impairs the perception of the image and complicates its further analysis, since it blurs the contours of objects. Adaptive filters are used to preserve the contours of objects in the image, which can change the filter coefficients in accordance with the features of the processed image. Most adaptive filters are local (implement "windowing"). For each position of the sliding processing window, either the filter mask counts are recalculated or the window configuration is changed. The disadvantage of adaptive filters is that the synthesis of these filters requires precise knowledge of some static characteristics of signals and noise, which is difficult in conditions of uncertainty in the field of application of video sensor-based computing devices.
