Today's manufacturing industry is shaped by the Industry 4.0 vision, which is to increase the number of individual goods produced while minimizing the production costs and time. To increase the production outcome and quality, users need to continuously monitor and adjust the entire process. While the recent advances in sensor technology can help users to collect, produce and exchange data, human beings are often overwhelmed by the amount of data being collected. Still, the human visual system is a powerful tool that can be used to decode and process large datasets. To make intelligent use of this ability, we have developed an interactive visualdataanalysis tool called ADAM that can support production dataexploration in the aluminum industry. Furthermore, we demonstrate the effectiveness of our tool using real production data and present insights which could be gained from use of our tool by domain experts.

Online community is composed of communities, users, and user-generated textual content, with rich information that can help us solve social problems. Previous research hasn't fully utilized these three components and the relationship among them. What's more, they can't adapt to a wide range of downstream tasks. To solve these problems, we focus on a framework that simultaneously considers communities, users, and texts. And it can easily connect with a variety of downstream tasks related to social media. Specifically, we use a ternary heterogeneous graph to model online communities. Text reconstruction and edge generation are used to learn structural and semantic knowledge among communities, users, and texts. By leveraging this pre-trained model, we achieve promising results across multiple downstream tasks, such as violation detection, sentiment analysis, and community recommendation. Our exploration will improve online community modeling.

The paper discusses various approaches used to optimize the convolutional neural network (CNN) model with You Only Look Once (YOLO) version 3 architecture. At the same time, an implementation using graphic processing units (GPU) computing is used as a baseline performance estimate. A separate study was conducted on the Intel Core i5-8500 central processing unit (CPU). Both the classical methods of the neural network approach, such as model pruning, and effective methods for processing video data, in particular, the optical flow and speed prediction, are considered. The proposed algorithm made it possible to overclock the GPU computing of the NvIDIA RTX 2080 Super video card by 4 times, up to almost 30 frames per second. However, processing frames using Intel Open visual Inference and Neural network Optimization (OpenvINO) toolkit allows us to achieve similar performance on the CPU without optical flow and speed extrapolation. In this case, the acceleration reaches almost 30 times.

The data Atlas is the centerpiece of the PERISCOPE project's data-driven research. The Atlas constitutes a centralized access point for the exploration, visualization and analysis of the original data produced by PERISCOPE partners, integrated with the most relevant information about the COvID-19 pandemic and its effects on health, economics, policy-making, and society at large. The Atlas interfaces and tools make such data readily available to the research community, decision makers and the general public, providing the means to amplify its reach and impact. The present demo, showcases the features of v1.2 release of the Atlas, 18 months from the project kick-off, and some of the planned enhancements to be delivered until project month 24.
