Pixel-Value Differencing (PVD) for information hiding is proposed by Wu and Tsai. It is capable to hide large amount of data by using adaptive scheme. This paper presents a modified scheme based on Wu-Tsai's algorithm. The proposed method exploits the ability of performing embedding process twice for every pair of pixels. The sum and difference of block pixels facilitates restoring of the first stego-image. Results show an improvement in stego-image capacity by more than 30% compared with the original scheme. Comparing Stego-images after using both schemes illustrates that the proposed method can hide much more data information and maintain good visual quality.

Vision field describes the real world visualinformation by summarizing the seven-dimensional plenoptic function into three domains: view, light, time, from which a better understanding of previous 3D capture and reconstruction systems can be provided. In this paper, we first show how to reconstruct 3D spatial information from all the three attributes of the vision field, namely full-space vision field reconstruction. Then, based on Laplacian iterative geometry prediction, a 3D mesh coding algorithm with cascaded quantization is presented to facilitate the communication of the reconstructed 3D models from vision field. At last, experimental results of both the 3D spatial reconstruction and the 3D mesh coding are demonstrated.

In recent years, with the development of digital technology, digital image processing has been widely and deeply applied in the field of computer graphics. Digital image processing system is a complex real-time system, it from the camera, fax machine and other scanning equipment to obtain image information, after digital transformation, digital image information coding, filtering, enhancement, recovery, compression, storage and other processing, finally generate visual image. This design uses TMS320C6748 as the core processor of the system, SAA7113 as the video decoding chip of the system, CPLD as the sampling controller, DDR2 chip as the external expansion memory. The ROM expansion uses NAND flash memory chip. On the basis of hardware design, combined with software algorithm to complete image processing. The system can be used in informationcommunication, image recognition, news scene and other fields of image processing and transmission. This paper analyzes the hardware structure and data processing algorithm of the system in detail. The experimental results show that the system can not only obtain higher compression ratio, but also reduce the distortion of the reconstructed image. Human-computer interaction for in-vehicle information and navigation systems is a challenging problem because of the diverse and changing acoustic environments. It is proposed that the integration of video and audio information can significantly improve dialog system performance, since the visual modality is not impacted by acoustic noise. In this paper, we propose a robust audio-visual integration system for source tracking and speech enhancement for an in-vehicle speech dialog system. The proposed system integrates both audio and visualinformation to locate the desired speaker source. Using real data collected in car environments, the proposed system can improve speech accuracy by up to 40.75% compared with audio data alone.

Audio visual services in public telecommunication networks and various Internet services are two of the most typical communication services in present days. To integrate these two services, DAVIC(Digital Audio visual Council) specifies the Internet access method. However, some functionality, such as Full Internet access, are not specified in detail and also DAVIC's method had not been reported to be implemented and provide Internet services. This paper proposes an architecture for DAVIC users to access Internet with its functional entities, service scenario, and protocols. The proposed method supports the Full Internet access service, in which a user in the Internet can initiate an Internet service toward a user of DAVIC system, as well as a DAVIC user can do the opposite direction. The architecture proposed here also suggests addressing and naming scheme in detail for realizing the Full Internet access method.

As 2-D image communication systems come into use widely, 3-D imaging technology enhancing the reality of visualcommunication is getting to be considered as a promising next-generation medium that can revolutionize information systems. To date, 3-D image communication has not been discussed at a comprehensive level because several kinds of promising 3-D display technologies are still making rapid progress. Considering such a situation, this paper introduces the concept of the ''Integrated 3-D visualcommunication System''. The key feature in this new concept is a display-independent neutral representation of visual data. The flexibility of this concept will promote the progress of 3-D image communication systems before the 3-D display technology reaches maturity. In this paper, for this purpose, ray-based approach is examined. In the present representation method, the whole ray data is equally treated as a set of orthogonal views of the scene objects. The advantage of this approach is to allow the synthesis of any perspective view by gathering appropriate ray data from the set of orthogonal views independently of any geometric representation. A real-time progressive transmission method has been also examined. The experimental results show how the present representation method could be applied to the next-generation 3-D image communication system.
