In recent years, motor imagery electroencephalography decoding has become a promising research field in brain-computer interface. Motor imagery signals generated from the brain can be decoded into certain commands to control external devices. The application of some deep learning algorithms to motor imagery has shown good performance by increasing accuracy and stability, as deep learning can easily handle high-dimensional, non-linear, and non-stationary electroencephalogram data. In this paper, we reviewed trends and approaches of deep learning algorithms for motor based on previously published papers indexed in Web of Science. We screened thirty-six research papers of the motor imagery classification using deep learning methods in the period between 2010 and 2020. In addition, we found the closest terms of the study using the network visualization technique and word cloud. This paper summarizes different input formulation methods used for developing deep learning models. Finally, some suggestions and recommendations for future research on motor imagery classification have been proposed.

Review and analysis of augmented reality (AR) literature for digital fabrication in architecture

The use of Augmented Reality (AR) technologies has increased recently, due to the equipment update and the mature technology. For architectural design, especially in digital fabrication projects, more designers begin to integrate AR methods to achieve the visualization in the process. To help unskilled labors for holographic on-site previewing and instruction training, experimental and practice-based studies in AR for the architectural digital fabrication have emerged in recent years. Now, it is a great opportunity to discuss the topic of AR in architectural digital fabrication. By presenting a statistical review of AR technology in architecture projects, this literature review aims to review ongoing research and provide pathways for further research in architectural digital fabrication. This review article is based on information found in journal publications and conference papers in the fields of architecture, engineering, robotics, and digital fabrication, published to date (from 2010 to 2020). The review narrows the literature within these papers by filtering 84 articles through the keyword "Augmented Reality", "Digital Fabrication" and "Assembly". The selected articles can be categorized based on the most use of AR function in architectural digital fabrication into an order of the following three classifications with the most significant growth in the last years: (A) AR 3D holographic instruction, (B) AR data sharing, (C) AR for HumanComputer interaction. The information collected from these articles within their classifications is meant to give insight into the current state-of-the-art of AR in the architectural digital fabrication area, as well as to summarize how the topic has matured and developed over time in the research and industry literature. This article has not only analyzed the existing literature but also highlighted new emerging fields in AR research and the future trends of AR function in architectural digital fabrication.

Applicability of Continuous Real-Time Monitoring Systems in Safety Assurance of Significant Structures

In recent years, there has been significant advancement in monitoring sciences, especially due to the continued development of measuring equipment. Consequently, continuous real-time monitoring of integrity of significant structures, like buildings, bridges, dams, as well as the movement of slopes, landslides and volcanoes has become possible. This paper presents the usefulness of continuous real-time monitoring system that is able to combine geodetic, geotechnical and meteorological sensors to match the needs of the monitoring project. At the experimental polygon, we have installed four points;one reference and three observation points, all based on global navigation satellite system (GNSS) sensors. For every point, we acquire location in sense of coordinate Y, X and H in the local coordinate system, which allows observing any movements and deformations on observation points. Moreover, the characteristics of experimental polygon correspond to observing structures and also any changes on the Earth's surface. The real-time visualization of acquired data enables us to decide on further measures in the shortest possible time, which reflects in major safety, as well as in the avoidance of severe damage. On the basis of 20 minutes of measurements, executed every 24 hours, we have calculated that it is possible to detect, with a 99.73% probability, all displacements larger than 1.2 mm and relative movements larger than 3 mm. The monitoring results and regression lines indicate that displacements for two points are no more than 1 mm, while on one we have obtained displacement of approximately 7 mm in a time period of only three months. The results obtained are significant and confirm the necessity of continuous real-time monitoring systems.

This paper presents the results of a flight simulator evaluation of an Airport Surface Display with Indications and Alerts (SURF IA). The objective was to investigate the independent effects of display type on traffic conflict detection. The study included a comparative evaluation of a Cockpit Display of Traffic Information with Indications & Alerts (CDTI IA) and CDTI without IA (CDTI baseline). Eight commercial airline pilots each flew nine scenarios in a B737-700 part-task flight simulator. Dependent measures included both subjective and objective data. The display symbology for traffic and runway indications and alerts was acceptable and understood by the pilots. The traffic velocity trend vector was considered a significant cue with which to detect traffic conflicts. Workload was perceived as acceptable for both CDTI types. There was no significant difference in traffic conflict detection rates between CDTI baseline and CDTI IA groups. However, the CDTI IA facilitated faster conflict detection and decision making during final approach scenarios when compared to the CDTI baseline display. Similar differences were not observed for take-off scenarios, primarily due to the absence of an alert: either the scenario did not progress to a point where an alert was generated, or the alert was inhibited above 80 knots per the system design.

Human sarcoma is a class of malignant tumors affecting soft tissue, cartilage and bone. Standard therapy typically involves resection with neo-adjuvant chemotherapy being employed to shrink the tumor mass prior to surgery. The effectiveness of chemotherapy is variable and there is on-going interest in being able to rapidly determining this so that alternative therapies might be considered, when indicated. We are exploring ways in which PET imaging with FDG can be used for the assessment of chemotherapy response with sarcoma. Quantitative assessment requires an alignment or co-registration of pre- and post-therapy scans data. Obviously PET attenuation information is key but this can be augmented to ensure that the uptake weighted spatial mean and covariance of the tumor pre- and post-therapy are also aligned. This is achieved by means of a Procrustes rotation procedure applied to the pre- and post-covariance matrices. Once the pre- and post-therapy scans are aligned, a statistical summary of voxel-by-voxel changes in uptake can be used to assess the chemotherapy response. An advantage of this assessment is that it is necessarily sensitive to the changes in the spatial pattern of uptake within the tumor. A regression analysis is proposed in which the average change from the post- to the pre-therapy values is evaluated in terms of a standardized coefficient that has the form of a z-test statistic. The statistic provides a more meaningful scale in which to evaluate chemotherapy effects. We illustrate the use of these procedures is a series of data from a set of 48 sarcoma patients. The relation between the proposed chemotherapy response assessment and patient outcome shows promise.

This paper proposes a user credit assessment model based on swarm intelligence aiming to solve the problem that users illegally spread pirated and pornographic media contents within the user self-service oriented broadband network new media platforms. Its idea is to do the new media user credit assessment by establishing indices system based on user credit behaviors, and the illegal users could be found according to the credit assessment results, thus to curb the bad videos and audios transmitted on the *** user credit assessment model based on swarm intelligence proposed by this paper which integrates the advantages that swarm intelligence clustering is suitable for user credit behavior analysis and K-means clustering could eliminate the scattered users existed in the result of swarm intelligence clustering, thus to realize all the users' credit classification automatically. The results of model's verification experiments based on standard credit application data set of UCI machine learning repository show that this model has good credit classification ability and its visualization features facilitate to observe and locate illegal users, and compared with the results of Logistic regression under the same conditions, this model is robustness and has better prediction accuracy.

The desire of universities to promote environmental sustainability is reflected in initiatives that seek to implement policies to promote green and sustainable campuses, not only in environmental issues but also in social and economic aspects, thus covering the three dimensions of sustainability. In this sense, several approaches have been developed; among these, we can mention the UI GreenMetric University Ranking, an international reference, developed in 2010, by the University of Indonesia. Considering the results of said ranking, there has been an increase in the number of participating universities. Therefore, this article has two purposes; on the one hand, to analyze whether, over the last seven years (2015-2021) there have been significant variations between the categories that make up the UI GreenMetric world sustainability ranking; on the other hand, to establish possible relationships between these categories. For this, a multivariate statistical method has been used; in this case, STATIS Dual allows universities to be analyzed simultaneously in the established period in the different world ranking categories. The results show favorable changes throughout the study period, in five of the six ranking categories. Furthermore, the study shows that the categories Education, Transport, Water, Waste and Energy, and Climate Change correlate. The Water and Waste categories are the ones that provide the most information, in the search for sustainability. We hope that our results are useful for decision-makers in universities.

In this paper a new pressure sensor-based electronic device for the analysis of lung sounds has been designed and prototyped. The device allows the effective auscultation, the accurate processing and the detailed visualization (temporal and frequency graphs) of any lung sound. Moreover it is suitable for the continuous real-time monitoring of breathing functions, resulting very useful to diagnose respiratory pathologies. It provides medical specialists with a totally noninvasive high-engineering device able to detect and analyze the widest number of data for the monitoring of the respiratory system by the simple recording and evaluation of lung sounds being a substantiated correlation between lung sounds and diseases.

Charged-particle coincidence correlated measurements such as angular correlations between rare and main fission fragments measured with conventional detectors provide only partial and limited information (energy cutoff, narrow range of studied ion Z numbers). Many of these drawbacks arise from the standard solid state detectors used so far which can be solved simultaneously by usage of highly segmented single-quantum counting pixel detectors. The Timepix pixel device, which is equipped with energy and time sensitivity capability per pixel, provides high granularity, wide dynamic range and per pixel threshold. This detector operated with integrated USB-readout interfaces such as the USB 1.0 and FITPix devices and the data acquisition software tool Pixelman, both developed for the pixel detectors of the Medipix-family, enables a variety of instrumental configurations, visualization, real-time event-by-event selection as well as vacuum and portability of operation for flexible measurements on different targets and setups. These features combined with event track analysis provide enhanced signal to noise ratio with a high suppression of background and unwanted events. The detector provides multi-parameter information (position, energy and time) for basically all types of ionizing particles in a wide dynamic range of energy (pixel energy threshold ≈ 4 keV), interaction/arrival time (timepix clock step ≥ 100 ns) and position (pixel size = 55 μm). High selectivity is achieved by spatial and time correlation in the same sensor. In addition, several detectors can be run in coincidence. The open and close exposition (shutter) time as well as the readout DAQ can be fully synchronized. For this purpose, we have assembled a modular multi-parameter, tunable and extendable coincidence detector array system based on two and more Timepix devices which can be coupled with supplementary detectors (solid state ΔE detectors and/or ionization chambers) for enhanced ion selectivity.
