Designed automated system of numerical analysis and datavisualization of anisotropy parameters measurements of rocks elastic waves ultrasonic velocities can be used for expresstreatment of experimental values of phase velocities of quasilongitudinal, "slow" and "rapid" quasishear and density of collector rocks.

The visualization of software systems allows a software developer to build a mental model of the program supporting her to better understand its design and functionality. This research aims at studying current visualization techniques and practices to propose a set of principles for designing effective software architecture visualization techniques, focusing on their support for program comprehension. The research will be carried out in three main phases. First, we will complement current works by proposing a taxonomy of visualization techniques. The second contribution will be to identify different requirements and characteristics of architecture visualization techniques. Finally, to evaluate software visualizations usability and effectiveness in practice, we will measure the performance of developers in terms of their percentage of the correct answers and effort developers spend to answer given questions. To compute the developers effort, we will use eye-trackers data.

Our research group is studying data-analysis based techniques in decision support and visualization. We have had co-operation with a Finnish nuclear power plant Olkiluoto within a long industrial research project. We have developed many decision support schemes and visualizations based on self-organizing map (SOM) method combined with other methodologies. In this paper, we discuss about SOM method in the process visualization of dynamic systems. With a case example produced with the Olkiluoto plant data we show the information value of this method. Some comparisons to other methodologies are made and the assessment of the information value and the definition of the assessment criteria are discussed. The measurement of the information value is a challenging task.

We demonstrate an interactive visualization and analysis system for integrating climate data with other geospatial data sets, such as environmental and demographic data. The iGlobe system is a desktop-based visualization and analysis environment which allows seamless integration of multiple geospatial data sets from varied sources and provides an interface to interactively analyze the different data sets and apply sophisticated dataanalysis and mining algorithms in a near real time fashion. The framework is highly desirable in domains such as earth and climate sciences where great emphasis is placed on simultaneous analysis of different data sets such as remote sensing images, climate model simulation outputs, and other environmental and demographic databases, to understand weather and climate systems and the impact of climate change on nature and people.
