The medical image visualization can help the doctor easy to diagnose, and the better quality can help doctor much more. The reflectance model is the key factor to make the quality better. Be enslaved to the computing power of CPU and GPU, some complicated reflectance models have not been used in medical visualization, the simple reflectance model-Phong model been used prevalently. With the growing computing power of GPU, this paper gives an improved reflectance model based on the Cook-Torrance reflectance model, which can render good quality in medical image visualization, and the velocity is 4 to 6 fps, that meet the real time rendering requirement. This reflectance model is a practical model for medical image visualization.

Radiation dose in the importance of radiation therapy is well known, with the advancement and development of technology, Radiation therapy in cancer treatment plays an important role. The current radiation treatment planning system using empirical or semi experienced conventional dose algorithm, the calculated dose distribution is not precise enough. Based on OUR-Body Gamma Knife radiation treatment planning software system, this article proposes dose calculation optimization method to meet the computing requirements of the premise and reduce dose points which need to calculate as much as possible, to improve the calculation speed. According to the experimental results demonstrate the feasibility of the optimization algorithm, and finally complete visualization of dose distribution.

Augmented Reality is a technology which provides people with more intuitive ways of interaction and visualization, close to those in real world. The amount of applications using Augmented Reality is growing every day, and results can be already seen in several fields such as Education, Training, Entertainment and Medicine. The system proposed in this article intends to provide a friendly and intuitive interface based on Augmented Reality for heart beating evaluation and visualization. Cardiologic data is loaded from several distinct sources: simple standards of heart beating frequencies (for example situations like running or sleeping), files of heart beating signals, scanned electrocardiographs and real time data acquisition of patient's heart beating. All this data is processed to produce visualization within Augmented Reality environments. The results obtained in this research have shown that the developed system is able to simplify the understanding of concepts about heart beating and its functioning. Furthermore, the system can help health professionals in the task of retrieving, processing and converting data from all the sources handled by the system, with the support of an edition and visualization mode.

Here we present the implementation of a set of information technology tools to help characterize and design nanobiodevices at the molecular level. The Collaboratory for Structural Nanobiology (CSN) is a collection of IT services designed to satisfy the constraints imposed by the molecular characterization of nanobioparticles. The services implemented provide access to a system of databases containing downloadable structure and data files, related research data, and resources for visualization including sample data for several typical examples such as dendrimers, buckyballs, nanotubes and metallic particles.
