A promising solution for operations in the moderate voltage and high-power ranges, the Alternate Arm Multilevel Converter (AAMC) distinguishes itself with a distinctive topology as an AC-DC Voltage Source Converter (VSC). However, traditional implementations require numerous sensors to maintain capacitor voltage balancing across series Full-Bridge Sub-Modules (FB-SBs). Introducing an innovative approach to enhance AAMC efficiency, this study proposes two sensor reduction methods for calculating capacitor voltages with estimation algorithms, demonstrating the current paths within each method. These streamlined approaches simplify the control structure and eliminate the requirement for individual current sensors in each phase and voltage sensors per FB-SBs. By continuously adjusting capacitor voltages based on estimated values used by data from executed last steps and switching signals, the provided methods achieve precise voltage balance with minimal estimation error. The methods’ effectiveness is validated through extensive simulations achieved by MATLAB Simulink software across various operational conditions. The results demonstrate notable reductions in measurement component requirements while maintaining robust performance in AAMC applications. This research highlights the potential of optimizing sensor utilization to improve the performance of voltage source converter technologies in the future.

The field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been witnessing a huge demand in the field of research, tools development, and applications of deployment. There are multiple software companies which are shifting their focus to developing AI systems, many are also deploying the AI paradigms to their current system. Correspondingly, the academic research community has also used AI paradigms to solve the traditional software engineering problems. AI has become very useful to the software engineering community. The paper also uses a survey of the most commonplace methods of using AI into the Software Engineering, that covers the methods for SE phases such as Requirements, Design, Development, Testing, Release, and Maintenance. The paper also aims in answering to the sufficient intelligence in the SE lifecycle, this evaluates the overlapping of the SE and AI domains, and challenge the current conventional wisdom of the state-of-the-art. © 2025 IEEE.

To develop a secure and efficient online voting system that overcomes the challenges of traditional offline voting in India, such as high costs, personnel requirements, delayed results, and accessibility issues, particularly for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and tech-savvy users. The secure digital voting system begins with an Authentication Phase, where users are verified through Face Recognition and OTP Verification, followed by Live Real-Time Monitoring and Session Monitoring to ensure integrity; if unwanted activity is detected, the vote is rejected. The existing voting system in India relies on Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and traditional ballot papers, requiring significant manpower and incurring high costs, which poses challenges for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs). The proposed method introduces a secure online voting system that uses Aadhaar-Based authentication with OTP, MTCNN for facial recognition, and MobileNetV2 for facial Real-Time monitoring, along with Blockchain-Based smart contracts for secure verification and end-to-end encryption to ensure secure vote submission. NRI voter turnout in traditional elections has been low due to logistical challenges. With the 2024 introduction of an online election system, turnout is projected to rise by 5%, reaching 72%, thanks to improved convenience and accessibility. This digital shift eliminates geographical barriers, fostering higher engagement and a more inclusive electoral process with significance of 0.049. The developed system effectively addresses the limitations of traditional offline voting by leveraging advanced technologies like MobileNetV2 and TensorFlow. It lays the foundation for a fully digital, secure, and efficient democratic voting process, aligning with the evolving needs of future generations and providing an inclusive solution for all voters.

As an innovative wireless communication technology, LiFi, derived from visible light to transmit data, will be a new choice of alternative to classical radio frequency (RF) communications. Data can be transferred backward and forth between the user and a computer with high speed using rapid modulation of LED light bulbs, a technique known as LiFi. An Internet of Things (IoT) based visible light data connectivity system for efficient data transmission over LiFi technology is introduced in this paper in the form of IoTVLDC. Visible light communication (VLC) smart systems are called LiFi., they make use of enhanced bandwidth and resistance to electromagnetic interference. LiFi can operate within the 60 GHz spectrum and achieves data rates in excess of 10 Mbps, compared to the several Mbps reacheable through conventional WiFi systems. Several gaps exist: in particular, how LiFi performs in dynamic environments and energy efficiency metrics, as well as how it can coexist with RF based systems. This study will then evaluate these aspects and propose a hybrid system that combines traditional technologies and LiFi to provide seamless connectivity between lit and non lit. The study will also examine the possibility of its use in real world IoT applications, for example smart homes, industrial automation and secure communications in networks. This paper will demonstrate through extensive experimentation that LiFi technology can provide sustainable, secure, and more efficient communication solutions for the future of wireless networking. © 2025 IEEE.

In our interconnected world, effective communication is a fundamental human right fostering social interaction, education, and personal growth. However, individuals with sensory impairments, such as hearing loss, encounter significant barriers in communication, hindering their participation in society. This challenge is pronounced in the Philippines, where Filipino Sign Language (FSL) is vital for the Deaf community. The “SignSpeak” study addresses these challenges by integrating computer vision and speech synthesis technologies. Utilizing platforms like Raspberry Pi and Jetson Nano, SignSpeak interprets hand gestures in real-time, converting them into audible speech, and translates spoken language into text, enabling bidirectional communication. This approach empowers individuals with varying sensory abilities, fostering inclusivity and enhancing educational opportunities. SignSpeak promotes social equity and empowers the Deaf community in the Philippines through rigorous software and hardware development and a commitment to linguistic inclusivity. Beyond technical innovations, SignSpeak envisions a future where individuals of all abilities can communicate freely and participate in society. The study results were highly successful, demonstrating 95% accuracy, 96% precision, 94% recall, and a 95% F1 score. Additionally, the prototype received positive feedback, with an overall mean score of 4.845. These outcomes highlight SignSpeak's effectiveness and potential impact in improving communication accessibility for the Deaf community in the Philippines.

The evolving industrial landscape, driven by technological advancements, necessitates a data-driven approach to workforce development. This study leverages machine learning (ML) to identify and address skill gaps, optimizing employee training and talent management. Traditional methods often struggle to keep pace with changing skill demands, leading to inefficiencies. ML algorithms such as decision trees, random forest, and neural networks were applied to large datasets, including employee performance metrics and training records. Cross-validation techniques ensured accuracy, with decision trees providing interpretable insights, while random forest and neural networks excelled in handling large datasets and forecasting skill demands. The results demonstrate high precision in identifying skill gaps and predicting workforce trends, enabling targeted, cost-effective training programs aligned with business objectives. ML-driven forecasting also supports long-term workforce strategies. This study establishes ML-based skill gap analysis as a transformative tool for enhancing organizational efficiency, employee engagement, and cost-effectiveness. future work will explore deep learning integration to further refine workforce predictions.

Blockchain technology has received a lot of interest in recent years owing to its potential to disrupt many different businesses, including the financial industry. As more and more business is conducted over the internet, the need of safe payment methods for online purchases has grown. This study's focus is on how blockchain technology may be used to the creation of trustworthy digital currency payment systems. This study takes a look at the pros and cons of using electronic payment methods at the moment. The energy storage device holds a pivotal position in renewable energy systems, facilitating the efficient accumulation and subsequent deployment of energy. However, the inconsistency of lithium-ion batteries has been a key factor limiting their performance and lifespan. This paper examines the inconsistencies of Li-ion batteries and discusses the application of various equalization techniques to improve overall performance and extend battery life. It also compares and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of different equalization techniques, demonstrating their application in lithium battery packs through simulation. The requirements of software development for distributed control systems are explored and it is indicated how these needs can be met by constructing a Host development facility based on CORAL 66. It is shown that a major need - to partition the realization of the system structure - can be achieved by supporting the language compiler with a system definition file built up during the development of the system. A consequence is that the creation and use of an elaborate linkage editor is avoided. A similar mechanism has been developed for PL/1. The advantages of this approach is that by exploiting the existing investment in CORAL 66 it could provide a powerful development tool in a timescale consistent with the increasing power and use of LSI technology.

The "VTU Question Classification System Based on BERT and Bloom’s Taxonomy" integrates advanced Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques to automate the classification of questions related to education. Utilizing the BERT (Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers) model, the system aims to categorize questions into respective cognitive levels as defined by Bloom’s Taxonomy. This initiative addresses the challenges of manual question classification, which is often time-consuming and prone to errors. The application encompasses stages of data gathering, preprocessing, model fine-tuning, and developing an accessible user interface. The expected outcomes include an efficient NLP system capable of accurately classifying questions, thereby aiding in aligning educational assessments with specific learning objectives. This work contributes to the enhancement of educational assessment techniques and offers potential for future advancements in the application of NLP in education.
