Expanding renewable energy integration in a traditional grid is a vital means to strengthen the contribution of renewable resources in the energy landscape, aligning with the maintenance of adequate power systems and carbon peaking objectives, especially when power systems networks look into providing reliable, efficient and safe voltage to loads end consumption. As electricity demand keeps growing, and technologies evolve, traditional power systems are at some stage no longer able to provide sufficient power to the load. Emerging in this regard is the idea of incorporating new technology in the traditional grid to improve the generation capacity. Hybrid Renewable Energy appears to be a suitable solution for improving grid resilience and rentability, creating a primacy for power system performance benchmarking to its objectives. Thus, call to look at some contributions in the field of Hybrid Renewable Energy influence in power systems. © 2025 IEEE.

computer systems that have been successfully deployed for dense regular workloads fall short of achieving scalability and efficiency when applied to irregular and dynamic graph applications. Conventional computing systems rely heavily on static, regular, numeric intensive computations while High Performance Computing systems executing parallel graph applications exhibit little locality, spatial or temporal, and are fine-grained and memory intensive. With the strong interest in AI which depend on these very different use cases combined with the end of Moore’s Law at nanoscale, dramatic alternatives in architecture and underlying execution models are required. This paper identifies an innovative non-von Neumann architecture, Continuum computer Architecture (CCA), that redefines the nature of computing structures to yield powerful innovations in computational methods to deliver a new generation of highly parallel hardware architecture. CCA reflects a genus of highly parallel architectures that while varying in specific quantities (e.g., memory blocks), share a multiple of attributes not found in typical von Neumann machines. Among these are memory-centric components, message-driven asynchronous flow control, and lightweight out-of-order execution across a global name space. Together these innovative non-von Neumann architectural properties guided by a new original execution model will deliver the new future path for extending beyond the von Neumann model. This paper documents a series of interrelated experiments that together establish future directions for next generation non-von Neumann architectures, especially for graph processing. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Wireless charging technology for electric vehicles (EVs) represents a significant advancement in the transition to sustainable transportation, offering a convenient and efficient alternative to traditional plug-in charging systems. This paper provides a comprehensive review of the state-of-the-art wireless charging techniques, with a focus on inductive power transfer (IPT), resonant inductive coupling, and emerging capacitive and magnetic resonance methods. Key components of wireless charging systems, including power electronics, coil design, alignment techniques, and communication protocols, are discussed. We also address the challenges related to efficiency, safety, standardization, and scalability, particularly in dynamic charging systems designed for highway applications. The paper further explores the integration of wireless charging into smart grids, considering the potential for vehicle-to-grid (V2G) applications and renewable energy sources. A comparative analysis of existing technologies and their readiness for widespread adoption is provided, alongside an outlook on future trends, including high-power charging, autonomous charging infrastructure, and advances in materials and control algorithms. The paper concludes by identifying research gaps and potential directions for innovation in wireless charging for EVs. © 2025 IEEE.

India confronted a serious challenge in the initial throes of the COVID-19 pandemic. This study addressed this by leveraging machine learning to analyse confirmed cases and support better decision-making. We compared the efficacy of Auto-Regressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA), Facebook Prophet and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) models on a Kaggle dataset, visualizing the results with Power BI to forecast future trends. The LSTM model, evaluated using Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE), demonstrated superior accuracy in predicting case numbers. This research underlines the importance of data analysis during public health emergencies. Machine learning offers valuable insights for policymakers, empowering them to control outbreaks and allocate resources effectively. With the increased reliance of enterprises on cloud storage solutions for data management, maintaining safe and efficient storage while emphasizing privacy protection is crucial. Collaborative learning plays an important role in improving individuals’ critical 21st century skills including teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking. Research studies in computer-supported collaborative learning relied on multiple technologies and analytics methods to analyze team members’ interaction with the learning system. They generally seek to assess and support collaborative learning and aid instructors to orchestrate the classroom in co-located collaboration group settings. To enhance awareness among students and teachers about collaboration, learning systems often offer dashboards with visual presentations of educational data and collaborative work progress. Despite the growing research interest on adapting the systems for collaborative learning support, only a few studies investigated how dashboards can be adapted to improve students’ learning and collaboration skills. This paper systematically reviewed research studies on adaptive learning systems based on dashboards, following the PRISMA protocol. The objective is to examine the role of dashboards in customizing learning systems and enhancing collaborative learning and teaching. This could pave the way for research opportunities in designing and developing future adaptive dashboards that foster collaborative learning. Satellite networks, integral to future communication, benefit from SDN’s advantages. Combining SDN with satellite networks, especially leveraging distributed controllers, shows promise. To facilitate research, we propose a simulation platform. Integrating STK, Containernet, Docker, and ONOS, it supports scenario and topology simulation and distributed control. Python scripts drive STK for scenario creation, Containernet for SDN network setup, and ONOS for controller functionality. Tests validate platform efficacy, showcasing ONOS’s robustness and Docker node compatibility. This paper engages the predictive extended state observer (ESO)-based active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) method to estimate and compensate for parameter perturbations in control systems with time delay. This is important because such variations are certain in real-world control plants (systems). In most systems, time delays and disturbances further challenge the controller system’s operation, necessitating a balance between controller performance (transient response) and disturbance rejection operations. Thus, this paper focuses on performance analysis in a specific area of disturbance rejection pertaining to parameter perturbation present in a predictive ESO-based ADRC (PESO-ADRC) control system. Experimental analysis is performed on different systems using the PESO-ADRC method and compared with state-of-the-art methods, such as the delay-based ADRC and the extended state predictor observer (ESPO)-based controller methods. It is observed that the PESO-based ADRC outperformed the delay-based ADRC and ESPO-based controllers by showing tolerance to disturbances, faster estimation, and compensation of parameter perturbation under time-delay control. This predictive method can be used to control the future operations of robotic applications. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

This paper aims to investigate the integration of electromobility into public transport systems through a case study. Given the growing global environmental concerns and the need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, electromobility is becoming a key factor in the transition to more sustainable forms of transport. This paper analyses the strategic, technical and social aspects of integrating electric vehicles into existing public transport systems. The case study highlights the challenges, opportunities and best practices associated with this integration through a comprehensive approach that includes quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Emphasis is placed on the analysis of infrastructure needs, such as charging stations, fleet modifications and intelligent control systems, which are essential for the effective integration of electromobility into public transport systems. Furthermore, the paper assesses the impact of electromobility. The case study findings provide important learning and recommendations for city planners, policymakers and public transport operators seeking to implement or expand electromobility in their systems. This paper contributes to the growing body of research on electromobility in the context of sustainable mobility. The rise in mobile internet usage especially using cellular networks demands efficient performance for web traffic, primarily made up of short TCP flows. For TCP, Cubic is the most widely deployed congestion control algorithm. mmWave and THz offer very high bandwidth and low latency, enabling faster speeds and reduced delay for companies deploying innovative applications, positioning them as the future of wireless technology. As such, we are compelled to thoroughly evaluate the performance of Cubic in various mmWave specific NLoS/LoS scenarios. In the process, we find Cubic really struggling when it comes to static NLoS scenarios and long connections particularly because Cubic keeps on attempting recovery from slow-start but fails due to the NLoS condition. This is where TCP Cubiwood comes to the rescue with an improvement of 189%in a simulated static NLoS scenario with results comparable to Cubic in wired conditions as well, thus becoming a suitable contender for replacing the historical algorithm. Delayed Congestion Response (DCR) tries to make TCP more robust towards channel errors in wireless networks so we also propose an additional flavor of Cubiwood, called Cubiwood-DCR which increases performance slightly in both wired and wireless high frequency scenarios. We extensively evaluate Cubiwood against Cubic, both with and without DCR enabled and make our code available for reproducibility and further research in the same direction. Moreover, the simplicity of this method makes our proposal a much more attractive solution. We believe the proposed solution is easy to implement, can replace Cubic and has the potential to improve performance in THz communication as well which is one of the competing spectrum bands for 6G networks. © 2025 IEEE.
