The integration of optical fibers into electroanalytical instrumentation enables the sensitive detection and quantification of micro-and nanoscopic processes by photoelectrochemistry. This review provides a comprehensive literature overview on the design and fabrication of different types of optical fiber probes for scanning probe techniques, such as scanning electrochemical microscopy and scanning photo electrochemical microscopy. optical fiber probes have been classified into single optical electrodes, comprising of disk, ring and lateral surface electrodes, and multi-electrode systems, including optical fiber arrays. Fiber optics technology has influenced probe design and fabrication for scanning probe microscopy techniques, surface characterization of photoactive materials and corrosion films, and moreover bioelectrochemical sensing and imaging of living cells. Underlying principles and the implementation of optical fibers into these applications are discussed in detail and recent developments and future prospects are highlighted. (c) 2021 Elsevier B.v. The innovative FEL design by the CompactLight Collaboration is briefly presented. The major contribution of our team, mainly from Greece cooperating with the team of ESS-ERIC, is emphasised to the material selection of the proper photocathode illuminated with the relevant laser, the magnet and solenoid design of the injector for optimum beam conditions, the 3D CAD model design of the baseline FEL facility including the machine, the tunnel, the beam dump and the experimental hall. Additionally, the exploitation assets of the project with the transfer technology are presented. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

In today's rapidly changing technological environment, there is a rising acknowledgment of the need for independent living for visually impaired people who confront major social inclusion issues. They may need human support to navigate these situations. visually impaired people frequently lack access to critical information about their surroundings because visual information is crucial to most daily actions. Support for visually impaired people is on the rise; however, some factors bring about disparity in this support. Most of the recent developments in assistive technology create a platform to not only address this particular gap but also enhance, especially the support for the visually impaired. This research intends to develop an application for the Android platform to encourage self-reliance and social inclusion of the visually impaired. It uses current communication technologies, artificial intelligence, visual recognition, and machine learning. The application includes features like voice command, OCR, navigation, emergency call, screen reader, and connectivity to other service apps such as uber, among others. Moreover, it works in Kannada also to encourage its usage. The primary objective is to promote more freedom and inclusion among the sight impaired. This smart solution seeks to enhance the standards of living for blind or vision impaired people and motivate their active participation in modern technological advances by encouraging them to interact with the surroundings through the different features of the app.

Electromagnetic current transformers, invented more than 100 years ago, are today the most widespread type of preliminary current converters, used in organizing metrological channels for commercial and technical electricity metering, measuring and relay protection systems. Despite their relatively simple design and modest price, today the question of using unconventional preliminary current converters (Rogowski coils, optical transformers, galvanic-magnetic sensors) is being increasingly raised [1]. This situation is due to the shortcomings of electromagnetic current transformers (CT): large weight and dimensions), explosion and fire hazard, and also saturation of their magnetic conductor in transient modes with the presence of an aperiodic component in short circuiting (SC) current. The phenomenon of saturation leads to significant distortion of the transmitted secondary signal, which in turn may become the cause of overprotection with external SC or delayed protection with internal SC. Russian and international practice in coordinating CT characteristics and relay protection requirements presuppose ensuring correct operation of relay protection systems not only in steady, but also in transient modes with possible saturation of CT magnetic conductors [2]–[5]. At present, testing the correct operation of relay protection and automation devices (RPAD) in transient modes is carried out using the CT saturation time, which under the specific conditions of the location of the CT should be more than the exact current conversion time required for correct operation of the connected RPAD. This time is calculated by special approved methods [2]. Such use of two extreme CT magnetic conductor conditions (saturated/unsaturated), without regard to the current waveform itself may lead to significant inaccuracies in evaluating the correctness of RPAD operation. At the dawning of the beyond 5G era, broadband last mile connectivity is stimulating rapid developments in optical and wireless technologies that will efficiently handle the traffic generated by mobile users and demanding network applications. To this end, multiple Radio Access (multi-RAT) technologies operating at various millimeter wave (mmWave) frequency bands, e.g., v-/E-/D-band are being actively pursued, in parallel with the investigation of efficient fiber wireless fronthaul schemes, e.g. Analog Radio over Fiber (aRoF) or Intermediate Frequency over Fiber (IFoF), to deliver low-complexity, broadband, last-mile connectivity. However, integration of such novel technologies in an actual mobile network infrastructure remains a challenge, as it needs to support compatibility with the network operators' equipment. The current talk aims to present a holistic Fiber Wireless (FiWi) connectivity, demonstrating the co-existence of Analog and Digital RoF traffic along with flexible, reconfigurable point-to-multipoint connectivity to multi-RAT antenna units. Experimental results on high capacity FiWi fronthaul links operating in the v- (60 GHz) and D- (145 GHz) will be presented. Moreover, end-to-end, integrated real-time traffic and network operation will also be discussed and experimentally presented, indicating a possible technology roadmap towards multi-RAT 6G networks.

In recent years, the photocatalytic process has been widely employed as a simple and economical approach for the removal of various harmful pollutants and the production of valuable chemical fuels. Considerable efforts have been made to develop efficient photocatalysts as a key for environmental improvement. In this prospective, vanadium pentoxide (v2O5) has attracted a lot of attention as a photocatalyst due to its outstanding properties such as low cost, narrow bandgap (similar to 2.3 ev), optical and chemical stability, and multiple oxidation states. This article presents a comprehensive review of the current research activities, including physicochemical properties of v2O5, performance optimization strategies, photocatalytic mechanism, and the relationship between structure and activity of various v2O5-based photocatalysts, especially v2O5-based heterojunction photocatalysts. Finally, the possible future development, opportunities, and key challenges of v2O5-based photocatalysts are also summarized. We expect to be able to provide some references and suggestions for the rational design and fabrication of highly efficient v2O5-based photocatalysts for environmental improvement.

There has been an increasing number of people using portable devices due to their low power and for handheld. Symmetric circuits represent the highest performance stability and design efficiency. Dynamic comparators are commonly utilized in the design of high-speed Analog-to-digital Converters and are quite simple to implement. The conventional comparator uses two-phase clocking and maximum drive current. To overcome the disadvantages. A novel comparator with low power and low delay has been proposed. At 1.8 voltage supply, the proposed comparator was designed and implemented in Cadence gpdk 180nm Technology. Layout results in 180nm CMOS technology indicate a 75 percent reduction in power consumption and a 25 percent reduction in delay time. © 2021 IEEE.

This research revisits how technology affects fact-based assertions. Advanced approaches like TF-IDF for content mining, vADER for mood analysis, and ARIMA for time series analysis are optimal. This approach shows digital change more accurately and completely than others. The proposed approach has many advantages over the present one. It excels in precision, speed, flexibility, and analysis. Many compliments to the approach's high-level methodologies, automation, scalability, and near-real-time processing. The recommended solution handles complex data effectively, responds to new patterns, and provides accurate real-time views, making it long-lasting. Finally, the recommended strategy offers a current and flexible way to consider how digital developments influence data-driven arguments in many ways. As the silicon photonics field matures and a data-hungry future looms ahead, new technologies are required to keep up pace with the increase in capacity demand. In this paper, we review current developments in the near-IR and mid-IR group Iv photonic modulators that show promising performance. We analyse recent trends in optical and electrical co-integration of modulators and drivers enabling modulation data rates of 112 GBaud in the near infrared. We then describe new developments in short wave infrared spectrum modulators such as employing more spectrally efficient PAM-4 coding schemes for modulations up to 40 GBaud. Finally, we review recent results at the mid infrared spectrum and application of the thermo-optic effect for modulation as well as the emergence of new platforms based on germanium to tackle the challenges of modulating light in the long wave infrared spectrum up to 10.7 mu m with data rates of 225 MBaud.

The use of slow-speed low-altitude unmanned aerial vehicles (UAvs) is becoming increasingly widespread, and the characteristics of low-altitude, slow-speed, and small targets make them difficult to be captured by traditional radar detection means. The method of photoelectric following has become a hot issue in current anti-UAvs field. In this paper, we focus on UAv tracking and aiming, and design a UAv tracking and aiming system based on a motion platform, which uses position closed-loop PID control algorithm to control the servo turntable DC motor and captures target images with a high-resolution camera. Then, the YOLO_v4 and OpenCv algorithms are used for image recognition. Besides, this system is based on STM32 tracking system integrated control software for overall system control. Finally, the generality, rationality and stability of the experimental system are verified through real tests. It is shown that YOLO_v4 recognition algorithm has strong background adaptability but slow recognition rate, while OpenCv algorithm has fast recognition rate but is only applicable to pure sky background. We can choose suitable algorithms for different sky background conditions.
