Chemiresistive gas sensors based on semiconducting metal oxides (SMOs) have been widely used in medical diagnosis, industrial production and aerospace vehicles. It's challenging to develop gas sensor with high selectivity and low working temperature. Recently, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) derived SMOs have been regarded as a promising candidate for developing high-performance gas sensors owing to their mesoporous structure, unique morphology, tunable architectures and compositions. Great progresses have been made in design and synthesis of SMOs with different nanostructures and compositions using MOFs as a precursor. However, there are few reviews to summarize the progresses of this fast-growing area. In this review, we systematically summarize the recent developments in the field of MOFs-derived mesoporous SMOs with different architectures and compositions for gas sensing application. In particularly, the influence of structure and composition of SMOs on the sensing performance in terms of sensitivity, selectivity, response/recovery speed and working temperature are summarized. Strategies including constructing novel nanostructures, building heterojunctions, decorating with noble catalysts and combining with highly-conductive materials for enhancing the sensing performance are discussed in this review. Furthermore, the current challenges and prospects in the application of MOFs-derived mesoporous SMOs for sensing application are proposed. This review may provide a guideline for rational design and development of high-performance gas sensors using MOFs-derived SMOs. (C) 2021 Elsevier B.v. All rights reserved.

The article is completely focused on the upto date development on composite materials with different optimization and curing techniques of Self Compacting Concrete (SCC);inorder to make the SCC highly durable, economical, with good rheological properties and feasible for current construction application. The key developments of concrete was attaining a proper mix proportions for the prescribed target mean strength but unlike normally vibrated concrete (NvC) SCC does not have the mix design code for obtaining the mix proportions for the required target strength. The pozzolanic materials that are generated from various types of industries were considered as a hazardous waste dumping material, which makes the huge negative impact on environment. Utilizing these pozzolans and converting them into productive material can save the environment and also be helpful in developing the high performance concrete. Hence a detailed literature survey has been carried out on unary, binary and ternary pozzolans that were used as a replacement for conventional materials (cement and fine aggregate) of concrete. The study was also made on self-curing technique imparted with SCC, which can further enhance the performance of concrete. Since Consumption of water in construction field is enormous especially for curing and developing flowable concrete;so to develop a sustainable concrete it is important to bend the different optimization techniques. Hence the study was done on several proposed methods of mix design procedures, material used, curing techniques and statistical modelling in developing optimized mix proportions. The detailed literature study serves as a flat forum for attaining a complete knowledge on updated trending in SCC, curing techniques and to suggest the area that can be improvised and for identifying the research gap for developing the innovative product in fields of SCC.

目的在图像语义分割中,细节特征和语义特征的融合是该领域的一个难点。一些在特定网络架构下设计的专用融合模块缺乏可扩展性和普适性,自注意力虽然可以实现全局的信息捕获,但不能实现不同特征的融合,其他的注意力机制在进行掩码计算时缺少可解释性。本文根据特征图之间的关联度进行建模,提出一种互注意力机制驱动的分割模块。方法该模块获取不同阶段的细节特征图和语义特征图,建立细节特征图上任一点和语义特征图之间的关联模型,并在关联模型的指导下对语义特征图上的特征进行聚合,作为细节特征图上该特征点的补充,从而将语义特征图上的信息融合到细节特征图上,并进一步采用相同的操作将细节特征图上的信息融合到语义特征图上,实现来自不同阶段特征图的相互融合。结果选取5个语义分割模型进行实验,实验结果表明,在使用替换方式对BiSeNet v2(bilateral segmentation network)进行修改之后,浮点运算量、内存占用量和模型参数数量分别下降了8.6%,8.5%和2.6%,但是平均交并比却得到了提升。在使用插入方式对另外4个网络进行修改后,所有网络的平均交并比全部得到了不同程度的提高。结论本文提出的互注意力模块可普遍提升模型的语义分割准确度,实现不同网络模型的即插即用,具有较高的普适性。

Advances in robotic systems and rapid developments in minimally invasive surgery (MIS) have made their use possible in the operating room due to many distinct advantages offered by MIS over conventional surgical procedures. The constant increase of medical examinations, surgeries and surgical interventions using intraoperative guidance with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has promoted research on new sensors to be applied in this scenario. However, due to the challenging environment under MRI system limits the applicability of materials and traditional electronic sensors. optical fibres are small in size, chemically inert, immune to electromagnetic interference and offer the real-time in vivo multi-parameter measurement capability. Herein, we report a ring cavity-based fibre optic sensor design using MR-compatible polymer material. optical fibres were used to excite surface resonance modes (SRM) of the ring cavity-based sensor. The paper reports initial investigations on ring cavity based MR-compatible fibre optic sensor design. Computational simulations were carried out to study the effect of structural and material parameters on the sensor design. Ring cavity was developed using polymethyl methacrylate. Developed ring cavity will be used to develop the MR-compatible fibre optic sensor for medical applications.

Superoscillations are band-limited functions with the counterintuitive property that they can vary arbitrarily faster than their fastest Fourier component, over arbitrarily long intervals. Modern studies originated in quantum theory, but there were anticipations in radar and optics. The mathematical understanding-still being explored-recognises that functions are extremely small where they superoscillate;this has implications for information theory. Applications to optical vortices, sub-wavelength microscopy and related areas of nanoscience are now moving from the theoretical and the demonstrative to the practical. This Roadmap surveys all these areas, providing background, current research, and anticipating future developments.

Perovskite solar cell have gained significant attention due to rapid efficiency advancement compared to silicon cells. However, their lower stability necessitates optimizing perovskite crystal parameters and constituent materials. This study aims to design and simulate the perovskite solar cell to achieve maximum efficiency. To this end, the most important parameters of the cell, including the energy level alignment of different layers relative to each other, the type of materials used in various layers, impurities and thicknesses of the perovskite layers, electron transport layer and hole transport layer have been studied and analyzed using SCAPS software. This study investigates the stability of perovskite solar cells against environmental humidity and the challenge of Sn2⁺ oxidation to Sn4⁺ by examining the density of defect states in the absorber layer and its interfaces with HTL and ETL layers. Additionally, the effects of radiation and operating temperature on cell performance are analyzed to provide a comprehensive understanding of factors influencing cell efficiency. Based on the simulation results, it was found that the most significant factor for increasing efficiency is the energy level alignment of the electron and hole transport layers with the absorber layer. The proposed structure for the perovskite solar cell with maximum efficiency is presented as ITO/TiO₂/MASnBr₃/CuSCN/Ni. The output characteristics of proposed cell include an open-circuit voltage, short-circuit current density, fill factor, and efficiency of 1.183 v, 34.150 mA/cm2, 89.19%, and 36.05%, respectively. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2025.

Over the last decade, the vector-apodizing phase plate (vAPP) coronagraph has been developed from concept to on-sky application in many high-contrast imaging systems on 8 m class telescopes. The vAPP is a geometric-phase patterned coronagraph that is inherently broadband, and its manufacturing is enabled only by direct-write technology for liquid-crystal patterns. The vAPP generates two coronagraphic point spread functions (PSFs) that cancel starlight on opposite sides of the PSF and have opposite circular polarization states. The efficiency, that is, the amount of light in these PSFs, depends on the retardance offset from a half-wave of the liquid-crystal retarder. Using different liquid-crystal recipes to tune the retardance, different vAPPs operate with high efficiencies (>96%) in the visible and thermal infrared (0.55 mu m to 5 mu m). Since 2015, seven vAPPs have been installed in a total of six different instruments, including Magellan/MagAO, Magellan/MagAO-X, Subaru/SCExAO, and LBT/LMIRcam. Using two integral field spectrographs installed on the latter two instruments, these vAPPs can provide low-resolution spectra (R similar to 30) between 1 mu m and 5 mu m. We review the design process, development, commissioning, on-sky performance, and first scientific results of all commissioned vAPPs. We report on the lessons learned and conclude with perspectives for future developments and applications. (C) 2021 optical Society of America

Graphene-based composite for dielectric elastomer actuator: A comprehensive review

Dielectric elastomer actuator composites (DEACs) are a class of electroactive polymers that are capable of changing shape or size once applied with an electric field. Such materials have found applications in artificial muscles, micro-robotics and micro air vehicles at industries. The dielectric behavior, mechanical properties, and electric breakdown strength are the main parameters for adjusting actuation behavior of DEACs. This review provides a brief introduction to the effect of 2-dimensional carbonic filler on the percolation threshold during the fabrication of these composites. The design process of graphene nanosheets (GNs) and their derivatives are described based on the filler structure: simple filler and complex filler. For each group, recent remarkable developments are illustrated and the technical issues demanding further improvement are discussed. In general, graphene-oxide (GO) and reduced-GO (rGO), as commutable GNs, numerous cases of use in DEACs have been reported where these materials were employed for controlling the reduction rate of dielectric breakdown strength, maintaining loss parameter (dielectric loss (epsilon '') and loss modulus (E '')), increasing electromechanical sensitively (beta=dielectric permittivity (epsilon') / elastic modulus) and improving the state of filler dispersion with interfacial engineering. The current review discusses the latest trends in research development in achieving such graphene-enabled enhancements. A systematic approach has been undertaken to highlight the advancements and challenges of graphene-based DEACs and the key research areas that need immediate attention. (C) 2019 Elsevier B.v. 随着科技的发展,光纤通信大量使用,硅基光开关阵列的使用场景越来越多,当前基于硅基的光开关阵列技术得到了发展。但由于技术还不够成熟,光开关阵列中每个开关节点的控制参数还不能做到一致,需要的电压在4~6 v。为了能够准确控制和使用硅基光开关阵列,必须对硅基光开关阵列中的每个开关节点控制参数进行准确标定,标定其控制电压或电流。为了实现控制参数的高效标定,设计一种高效的硅基光开关阵列参数标定控制器。
