In view of the increasing number of pets in urban communities, the relationship between urban residents and pets in urban centers has become increasingly complex, and the entanglement between people and pets in urban centers has gradually escalated conflicts. Drawing lessons from Hong Kong's experience in transforming urban micro-spaces into dog-walking parks, the design ideas for dog-walking parks or dog-walking areas are proposed, in order to provide a reference for the future construction of dog-walking parks in my country. Under the concept of urban micro-renewal, this paper selects a 100-square-meter space in Yuyuan Road Community, Shanghai as the public physical space reconstruction project, and uses digital modeling software, Rhino, to model the reconstruction plan in three dimensions. In the modeling process, based on the previous field investigations and questionnaires, the needs for interaction between people and pets in outdoor public spaces were summarized. digital fashion is the use of computer technology to simulate the visual representation of clothing and the physical properties of clothing textures. Virtual clothing and digital fashion will continue to explore innovative directions to revolutionize the virtual experience for a long time to come. They are new ways for fashion brands to interact with us living in a digital world, and possibly a unique look for the digital inhabitants living in a 'metaverse'. The virtual technologies that digital fashion relies on have been developed over a long period of time, relying on virtual apparel design systems that provide designers with a more convenient 3D virtual interaction platform, greatly improving efficiency. This paper provides an overview of key digital fashion technologies: 3D human modeling, 3D garment modeling and simulation technology and garment virtual display. © 2022 The authors and IOS Press.

Table tennis has experienced a century since its birth. With the vigorous development of competitive sports events, rapid changes have taken place in technology, tactics, equipment, rules and training methods. Under the epidemic situation, the traditional two-player practice mode is faced with great challenges, especially the online teaching of table tennis, which simply relies on the teacher to explain technical points and watch teaching videos, and it is difficult for students to master attacking skills without practice. In recent years, the performance and functions of smart phones, computers, laptops and other electronic products are becoming more and more intelligent and digital. The technological progress of these terminal devices has affected the development of 3D modeling technology to a certain extent. The realization of virtual environment in 3D animation, science fiction film, home environment design, 3D printer, mobile phone and so on are inseparable from modeling technology. In addition, 3D technology plays an important role in medicine, construction, art craft, AR technology human modeling. © 2023 SPIE.

There has been a growing interest in transdisciplinary approaches to improve the added value of cities, such as smart cities. To add value to a city, not only the hard infrastructure but also the soft systems are important. Systematic distribution of incentives such as the holding of events and the issuing of coupons is significant as a means of creating liveliness in cities. This paper proposes a system that supports effective incentive selection using a human flow simulator. A part of the city, including a station and commercial facilities, is reproduced on the simulator by modeling the customer behavior based on actual data. We simulate the behavioral paths of individual customers with different incentives. The list of the incentives is proposed and the result of the simulation suggests insights for the selection of the appropriate incentive to improve sales and the liveliness of the city as a whole.

The field of neuromorphic computing is approaching an era of rapid adoption driven by the urgent need of a substitute for the von Neumann computing architecture. NEUROTEC I: "Neuro-inspired Artificial Intelligence Technologies for the Electronics of the Future" project is an initiative sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF for its initials in German), that aims to effectively advance the foundations for the utilization and exploitation of neuromorphic computing. NEUROTEC I stands at its successful "final stage" driven by the collaboration from more than 8 institutes from the Julich Research Center and the RWTH Aachen University, as well as collaboration from several high-tech industry partners. The NEUROTEC I project considers the field interplay among materials, circuits, design and simulation tools. This paper provides an overview of the project's overall structure and discusses the scientific achievements of its individual activities.

Construction workers are at high risk of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) during formwork operations. This study adopted a mixed-method approach, including site observations and evaluation of worker postures using digital human modelling (DHM) to assess the MSDs risk involved in formwork operations. The CATIA V5 software was used to conduct Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA), as the workers associated with formwork operations mostly use their upper body. A video camera was used to record the working cycle postures of workers during their routine tasks. Three significant postures were selected that could develop a high risk of MSDs during formwork operations. The findings indicated a high level of discomfort to the arms, neck, trunk, and wrist, which could result in long-lasting harm to the workers. The recommendations are proposed to avoid and reduce the signs of MSD risk caused by the original operations. This study is essential since an ergonomically well-designed environment increases workers’ comfort and productivity. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

This research explores the intersection of neuroscience and architecture, focusing on how personality traits, including Conscientiousness, Extraversion, and Neuroticism, influence environmental perception and interaction. Intriguingly, it uncovers that these traits correlate with preferences for specific architectural styles and associated music. For instance, personalities like Openness, Conscientiousness, and Extraversion preferred coastal style, while Neuroticism uniquely favored Art Deco. Similarly, Brutalist architecture resonated with Conscientiousness, Extraversion, and Neuroticism, whereas Openness, Conscientiousness, and Agreeableness preferred the Gothic style, and the Rustic style appealed to Openness and Extraversion. Integrating virtual reality and AI, the study applied these insights in an exhibition at IncMTY, demonstrating the practical implications of personalized design in enhancing well-being and efficiency. This approach highlights the significant benefits of tailored design in diverse settings and analyzes the interplay of digital personality traits and describes the potential of tailored interactive experiences in fields like education or manufacturing. The application of intelligent construction technology is gradually penetrating the field of water conservancy and hydropower engineering. This article systematically summarizes the application research of intelligent construction in water conservancy and hydropower engineering, including intelligent design, intelligent construction, and intelligent monitoring. In terms of intelligent design, the use of BIM technology to establish three-dimensional modeling of water conservancy and hydropower projects can achieve collaboration, communication, and management of multiple aspects of information and improve design efficiency and quality in terms of intelligent construction. The use of robot technology and automation equipment can achieve construction automation and digitization, reduce human errors and safety risks, and improve construction efficiency and quality. In terms of intelligent monitoring, real-time monitoring, and intelligent management of water conservancy and hydropower projects can be achieved through the Internet of Things and big data technology, timely detection of problems, and early warning processing, ensuring the safe and stable operation of the project. A sound management system is established with standard specifications to promote the widespread application of intelligent construction in the field of water conservancy and hydropower engineering. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
