On the basis of previous researchers' impact of image aesthetics design on user purchasing behavior, this article uses classic aesthetics, performance aesthetics, S-Q-R and other theories from the perspective of user emotional experience to classify products into search and experience types, and analyze its influence mechanism on user emotional experience and purchase decision in different forms. This article summarizes the questionnaire based on the related theories of APP aesthetic design and user emotional experience in human factors engineering, determine the independent variables (different types of aesthetic design: symmetrical simple, symmetrical complex, asymmetrical simple, asymmetrical complex) and dependent variables (user's emotional experience and purchase decision), and the questionnaire survey divides Taobao APP interface design into four types: symmetrical simple, symmetrical complex, asymmetrical simple, and asymmetrical complex, and discusses using repeated measures two-factor analysis of variance. Finally, it is concluded that the asymmetric design of search products can make users have greater desire to buy, and the asymmetric and complex design of experience products can make users have greater desire to buy. The research results of this paper are the perfection and supplement of APP emotional design and human factors engineering theory and methods. The application of research results is of great significance for guiding APP design, improving APP user experience and enhancing APP competitiveness.

This article is devoted to information processing, simulation, and mathematical modeling of vessel human operators' actions and signal and image processing during human computer interaction, and also further vessel computer control system learning. The report provides a brief overview of the results obtained in the course of processing data from experiments carried out on vessel computer control systems' simulators and real vessel computer control systems. Processing of the experimental information made it possible to obtain quantitative and qualitative assessments of the human operator's decisions. The report discusses the correspondence between the results of computer simulations of human operator actions and the results of experiments conducted on vessel computer control systems' simulators and real vessel computer control systems. A qualitative description of practical results and practical recommendations for vessel control system interface design to improve the reliability of the vessel operator's control actions are given. Further research directions are outlined. Research gaps are also discussed.

human nose detects every kind of odors and our brain responds to every kind of smell that we are inhaling, so in the same way artificial nose or the electronic nose is a device that detects the smell and can enable the scope of digital smell technology. So, this paper proposes to optimize the design of an electronic nose that will eventually bring modification to the various digital platforms like internet, computers, mobile, television and tablets. We focused on design optimization of electronic nose which is built on a multichannel gas sensor array. The proposed electronic nose will enable the transmission or reception of smell over the internet and other digital platforms. The device can detect the smells of vapors coming out of volatile organic compounds. The sensing system is 3D printed in the model of a human nose. The sensing system works with an accuracy of detection of 90.45%. The response time of the electronic nose is 60 to 90 seconds, sometimes it is lesser than 60 seconds and it varies from substance to substance.

The Space Station design Workshop (SSDW), a cornerstone initiative at the Institute of Space Systems, University of Stuttgart, has been instrumental in educating students and young professionals in space station design for over 25 years. In 2024, the workshop was conducted in cooperation with the Technical University of Munich for the first time, marking a significant collaborative milestone. Building on extensive experience, a refined methodology incorporating Connected engineering principles was implemented, centered around the integration of the SYNERA software tool. This enhancement aimed to improve design process efficiency, team collaboration, and adaptability to evolving requirements. The integration of SYNERA led to an improvement in design iteration speed and an increase in inter-team data sharing compared to previous workshops. This paper analyzes the methodological advancements, the refined Connected engineering workflow developed within the International Planetary Sunshade (IPSS) project framework, and practical experiences from SSDW 2024. It highlights the potential of these innovations to advance space systems design education and practice, aligning with the increasing industry demand for digital transformation and Model-Based Systems engineering (MBSE).

Space Teams Academy (STA) is a new, innovative, and virtual STEM program that teaches students about space exploration, teamwork, and engineering design principles. Recent simulation technology and advances in virtual reality (VR) make it possible to immerse and engage students in the design of advanced space exploration missions. Space Teams Academy is built upon the Space Teams platform. This sophisticated toolkit serves as a comprehensive mission design and simulation platform, providing an accurate representation of the space environment, thereby enabling users to design end-to-end virtual interplanetary missions. The Space Teams platform has been utilized for diverse space industry projects, ranging from NASA design competitions to commercial orbital servicing, and the evaluation of astronaut training scenarios. The STA program provides an unprecedented opportunity for students, from elementary through high school, to delve into an immersive and highly realistic virtual space environment. It inspires creativity, while requiring teamwork and critical thinking to solve complex problems related to the design of interplanetary vehicles, habitats on distant planets, and strategies to manage vital resources for human survival on these new worlds. The STA program is strongly aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and covers a wide range of NASA's STEM Educational Objectives. Through this educational space adventure, STA students receive valuable insights from industry professionals such as space engineers, scientists and astronauts. Topics include planetary science, spacecraft design and assembly, orbital mechanics, landing on another world, and constructing extraterrestrial habitats with the ultimate goal of human sustainability. In the interaction process with complex environment, compared with rigid structure robot, soft crawling robot has the advantages of high degree of freedom, strong adaptability to complex environment, and high human-computer interaction security. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct in-depth research on intelligent soft crawling robot oriented to environment interaction. This paper designs and manufactures an intelligent soft crawling robot system for environmental interaction. The main research contents include: 1) design and manufacture of intelligent soft crawling robot;2) mathematical modeling and fluid-structure coupling simulation of soft crawling robot;3) design and research of the interaction module between the soft crawling robot and the environments;4) build a software crawling robot drive control platform for environmental interaction experiments. In this paper, the body of soft crawling robot is designed to simulate the motion of earthworm. The improvements about the quality of life and human health have been considered important in the development of national and enterprise policies. Participation in a regular exercise program can effectively improve health status and prevent disease. The research of health status monitor and prediction during exercise is benefit to obtain the good exercise affects and avoid some exercise accidents in advance. With the development of computer and AI technologies, it becomes possible to monitor and predict some exercise accidents in advance by computer simulation modeling. In this paper, an intelligence exercise health simulation model based on dynamic thermal regulation is presented, which comprises a dynamic metabolic rate model driven by the change of heart rate to solve the problem that metabolism is set as a constant in the traditional simulation method and can more truly reflect the impact of exercise intensity, and an improved thermal regulation model of human body empowered by dynamic metabolism that is able to simulate physiological phenomena of human body in exercise more accurate. During the numerical simulation processing, some important physiological indicators are calculated to reflect the thermal physiological regulation dynamic change in the exercise. The analysis and monitoring of simulated physiological indicators can help people get healthy exercise and prevent accidents. We design the health prediction module to realize the intelligently prediction of health symptoms in exercise. The effectiveness of the proposed simulation model is verified by experiments. © 2022 IEEE.

Recent work extending planning algorithms that reason about action and change has been successful at supporting game design, player modeling, and story generation. Incorporating agent preferences over actions and propositions into a planning process allows for a more accurate prediction of what a human might do when solving a problem like playing through a game level. This paper presents the preference-based planning heuristic RPGPREF which uses relaxed plan graphs (RPGs) and preference sets to guide a planner toward a preference-conforming path to its goal. A human subjects evaluation confirms that RPGPREF successfully guides the planning process toward solution plans that recognizably match and differentiate player playstyles. Historically, researchers and practitioners have often failed to consider all the areas, factors, and implications of a process within an integrated manufacturing model. Thus, the aim of this research was to propose a holistic approach to manufacturing processes to assess their status and performance. Moreover, using the conceptual model, manufacturing systems can be modelled, considering all areas, flows, and factors in the respective areas of production, maintenance, and quality. As a result, the model serves as the basis for the integral management and control of manufacturing systems in digital twin models for the regulation of process stability and quality with maintenance strategies. Thus, a system dynamics simulation model based on the conceptual model is developed for a metallurgical process. The results show how the monitoring of all flows together with the optimal strategies in the quality and maintenance areas enable companies to increase their profitability and customer service level. In conclusion, the conceptual approach and the applied simulation case study allow better decision making, ensuring continuous optimization along the manufacturing asset lifecycle, and providing a unique selling proposition for equipment producers and service engineering suppliers as well as industrial companies.

modeling from the perspectives of software engineering and systems engineering have co-evolved over the last two decades as orthogonal approaches. Given the central role of software in modern cyber-physical systems and the increasing adoption of digital engineering practices in complex systems design, there is now significant opportunity for collaborative design among system users, software developers, and systems engineers. Model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and systems modeling languages can support seamless cross-domain connectivity for design, simulation, and analysis of emerging technologies such as Augmented Reality (AR). This paper presents a co-design process for extending the capability of an existing AR application referred to as a No-Code AR Systems (NCARS) framework. NCARS enables content developed by multi-domain authors to be deployed on AR devices through a software layer that bridges the content to the game engine that drives the AR system. Utilizing a software dependency diagram of the AR Annotation function, an existing MBSE model of the AR system is extended to include the structure and behavior of relevant software components. This allows a modular design of the system to address needs in integrating new requirements into the existing application. New user requirements for tracking items in motion in the user’s physical environment with virtual annotations in the augmented space are collaboratively designed and visualized through use case, block definition, internal block, and sequence diagrams. They capture the required structure and behavior of the proposed to-be system.
