This paper proposes a model of a complex design system in the form of a system of graphs with attributed and labeled not only nodes and edges but also entire graphs. The primary task of the graph system is to collect data from information provided by the context and organize this data according to the relationships between them, including adding metadata represented by layers with graph labels that designate the appropriate graphs for layers. At the layer level, we can define relationships between layers as relationships between nodes of graphs belonging to different layers. The proposed model has been implemented in GraphTool which is designed to support modeling and visualization of this graph system type using computer tools for graph transformation. The approach presented in this paper will be illustrated by an example that, concerns human resources management in a large software company and is an example of a description of human cooperation. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

In this paper, a contact-free human-computer interaction interface is developed. The system recognizes the hand gestures from the user and transmits corresponding control signals to the end-user side. Subsequently, the end-user side manipulates cursor movements or clicks based on the received control signals. To ensure the operability on the embedded system development board, the system adopts low-complexity methods and integrates an external vision processing unit. The experiment results demonstrate the successful implementation of the system on Raspberry Pi 4.

digital humans act as pivotal interfaces between the virtual and physical dimensions, significantly influencing interactive design within the Metaverse. As the Metaverse concept gains traction across diverse sectors, the implementation of technologies such as digital humans has become increasingly prevalent. The Metaverse provided virtual environment serves as an online hub for user socialization and a variety of activities. A significant proportion of users express a desire to create virtual avatars that closely reflect their own physical appearance. Although various technical solutions for avatar creation exist, they often fail to satisfy the specific demand for digital humans that accurately represent users' real-life appearances. Traditional 3D modeling and scanning methods, which require expensive equipment and significant time commitments, are also not optimal for supporting advanced interactive applications. Therefore, there is a pressing need in the industry for a streamlined workflow that can rapidly generate digital humans based on actual facial features. This research examines the interactive design necessities of the Metaverse and assesses current technologies for creating digital humans from users' facial images. It further investigates the potential for integrating these technologies in a synergistic manner to address the current shortfall. The proposed workflow in this study is intended to serve as a benchmark for future advancements in digital human development within the Metaverse.

With the rapid aging of the global population, the decline of hand function in older adults has become a critical issue, seriously affecting their independence and quality of life. Exergames for hand rehabilitation that combine physical activity with gamification have emerged as an innovative approach to these challenges. However, the effects of feedback design, particularly the combination of feedback content and feedback time, on rehabilitation outcomes remain under-explored. This study investigated the impact of qualitative and quantitative feedback provided at three different time points (during the task, after the task, and before the next task) on older adults’ performance and experience in exergames for hand rehabilitation. The findings highlight the importance of tailoring different feedback mechanisms to optimize rehabilitation outcomes and provide a feasible guide to designing personalized feedback systems in exergames for hand rehabilitation. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

This paper adopts a microservice architecture to design an intelligent monitoring system for rail transit platforms. The system relies on high-definition video surveillance and utilizes technologies such as video understanding and human posture recognition to comprehensively supervise the entire platform. It uses digital twin technology to model the station and achieve 3D visualization operation and maintenance, displaying real-time passenger flow information and trends, regional passenger flow information and congestion levels, emergency events (fights, falls, lean against platform screen doors, etc.) alarm information and records, and improving passenger safety during boarding.

Continuously monitoring of drilling fluid properties and simulating of down hole hydraulics is critical and beneficial for safe and efficient drilling. However, the drilling fluids properties are generally taken once every regulated interval and the downhole wellbore conditions and drilling fluids performance are judged accordingly and sometimes experientially for lack of updated data. In this paper, we present a novel unit called On –line Drilling Fluids Properties Logging System (ODFPLS) for real-time measurement of drilling fluids property and software for downhole hydraulics modeling by integrating of these real-time measured data. The ODFPLS unit consists of four testing modules, they are Density module, Rheology module, Funnel Viscosity module, and Ion Content module. During working, the fluid sample is sucked in and flowed first to the Density module, tested there and then flowed to other modules in above order and finally discharged into waste pits without any human intervention. The test data is stored in the database of well-site digital platform and shared to the Remote Operational Centers (ROCs) for drilling fluids performance diagnosis and downhole hydraulics modeling The indoor and field pilot tests showed that the unit is capable of measuring fluid properties such as mud density, funnel viscosity, rheological behavioral parameters, calcium and chlorine concentration and so on properly and accurately while drilling compared with manual measurement by lab operators. The drilling fluids performance diagnosis and hydraulics modeling provides not only rheological mode identification but also the real time equivalent circulating density ECD and equivalent static density ESD at any point in the wellbore during drilling. It also delivers surge and swab pressure calculation as well as ECD data while tripping drill pipe or setting casing. Deep learning technology establishes advanced methods for enhancing human-Computer Interaction systems by providing machines with the ability to sense and understand human emotional states. The capability's value stems from its applications, including healthcare situations alongside virtual assistants, gaming interfaces, and educational platforms seeking personalized functions. We present a deep learning framework that unites multimodal data fusion with Convolutional Neural Network(CNN) to enhance emotion recognition systems while improving performance and interpretability. The proposed framework undergoes testing against three benchmark emotion datasets: FER2013, AffectNet, and CK+ dataset. Our experimental findings show that the proposed system delivers a 92.5% accuracy rate for emotion recognition which exceeds traditional unimodal models by a maximum of 12% improvement. Context-aware modeling achieves a 15% performance boost during real-world applications while lightweight architectural design reduces system processing requirements by 25% to support edge device runtime operations. Through explainable AI integration users can see how the model functions to make decisions therefore establishing both trust and ethical practices in use. This research delivers substantial progress in emotion recognition study through an approach that establishes a deployable system that maintains both operational effectiveness and ethical operations across multiple human-Computer Interaction application domains.

This paper aims to design a remote-controlled Flexible Robotic Cell (FRC) equipped with an ABB 120 industrial robotic manipulator (IRM) as Cyber Physical System (CPS) for assembly and disassembly (A/D) of two workpieces (WP1, WP2) with 5 parts each, based on SCADA and Industry 4.0 concepts. CPS involves integrating various digital devices, connected in a local array network (LAN) and Internet for enhanced automation, connectivity, and intelligence, The digital devices are: PLC, 3D cameras, video processing unit (VPU), powerful, embedded computer, Wi Fi router, remote and local human Machine Interface (HMI), ethernet switch, servo drive and IoT, the last one being an edge device that allows remote connection via VPN. Synchronized timed Petri nets (STPN), for assembly and disassembly, are used for modeling and simulation. The design of CPS was subordinated to the concept of “digital Twin”, by integrating, and synchronizing task planning and the simulation results of the STPN models, with real-time control in a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system connected remotely.

The This study conducts a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of the current research status in the field of fit design to understand its current state and development trends. By searching the Web of Science core database, 168 relevant papers from 2000 to March 2024 were selected. Using scientific mapping tools such as Citespace and R Bibliometrix, the analysis focused on publication trends, journal sources, international cooperation networks, and keywords to outline the research overview and direction. The results indicate that China and the United States have conducted a significant amount of research with substantial impact. The publications are spread across a wide range of journals due to the broad scope of fit design. Research hotspots cover six main themes: classification models, mass customization, body, wireless communication, teleaudiology, and attitude. There is a discernible shift from focusing on user needs and satisfaction to product personalization and technological application. Differences exist in research methods and technological applications across the fields of clothing, products, and wearables. The clothing field emphasizes research on ergonomics and fabric performance, the product field focuses on user needs and human-computer interaction analysis, while wearable devices emphasize body data connectivity and comfort. Future research should further focus on user experience, integrating new technologies and materials to advance the development and application of fit design. This study provides a comprehensive understanding for researchers in the field of fit design and serves as a reference for future research and practice in clothing, products, and wearable categories. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.
