This paper delves into the application of computer technology in the metaverse exhibition modules of Country Partner (CP) and Operation Partner (OP). It begins by noting the proactive response of Chinese educational institutions to the educational and research trends of the metaverse, highlighting the critical role of VRI AR, 5G networks, and the Internet of Things in constructing metaverse experiences. The paper thoroughly analyzes aspects such as design modeling of metaverse scenarios, aesthetic visual effects of scenes, digital twin design, and augmented reality technology, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration. In the CP aspect, it focuses on the application of metaverse spatial scenario design and human-computer interaction technologies, including the use of tools such as 3DMAX, Sketchup, and Unity. Regarding the OP aspect, it explores the application of computer technology by various positions in metaverse exhibitions, underscoring the potential applications of metaverse technology in fields like tourism management, exhibition specialties, and e-commerce. The paper concludes with suggestions for optimizing the application and innovative education of computer technology in Chinese universities, promoting the integration and development of new engineering and new liberal arts disciplines in the direction of the metaverse. © 2023 IEEE.

The field of landscape architecture and planning urgently requires the use of visualization and intelligent technologies to optimize traditional design processes. In response to the digital landscape planning needs, this research has designed and implemented a digital landscape planning system based on visualization technology. Through the development of visualization techniques, system framework design, and the implementation of key technologies, we have developed an integrated landscape planning system that combines digital scene modeling, interactive design, and intelligent planning optimization. The research has verified that the system achieves a high level of fidelity in digital scene representation and demonstrates effective human-computer interaction. The system enables the rapid construction of highly faithful digital landscape scenes, assisting designers in creative design and proposal assessment. Additionally, it leverages knowledge rules and successful cases to facilitate interactive intelligent optimization of landscape design proposals. The goal of this research is to develop a digital landscape planning system that integrates digital scene construction and intelligent design optimization. This research provides valuable technological support and practical implementation for the intelligent and digital transformation of landscape planning, contributing to innovation in the field. © 2024 SPIE.

Nowadays there is a concept as "digital tourism", which provides tourism activities to a person in the digital space. Modern technologies allow improving many aspects of human life, and tourism is no exception. This article presents the process of creating a digital twin of memorable places of the Volgograd region in virtual reality (VR), from modeling buildings and the surrounding area, to creating interaction between the user and the final scene. The introduction of such technologies makes it possible to facilitate digital exhibition, in the form of "virtual tourism", with the necessary equipment. Using VR-technologies and modern game engines make it possible to create digital exhibitions, and subsequently, after completion of work on it, to provide digital exhibition for familiarization purposes, to enhance the spiritual and cultural values of citizens. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

The continuous popularization and application of computer 3D modeling and 3D printing technology in the field of art design has improved and changed the traditional design and production mode to a certain extent. In order to solve the shortcomings of the existing research on human-machine dynamic interaction of 3D printing and digital sculpture, this paper discusses A3D digitalization, the mainstream technology of 3D printing, human-machine dynamic interaction and traditional sculpture making, and briefly discusses the image preprocessing and human-machine interaction and digital design software of 3D printing based on human-machine interaction. In addition, it designs the technology of human-computer interaction information extraction, visual interaction key frame selection, equipment operation and 3D printing body structure digital molding technology. Finally through the concrete experiment analysis. The results show that the average inter-frame distance error of the key frame sequence extracted based on the visual interaction method is the smallest. The calculated frame spacing error is as low as 0.029. The minimum error of manual extraction was 0.557. The minimum X-means clustering error is 0.047. Therefore, it is verified that the integration method of human-machine dynamic interaction and digital sculpture based on 3D printing designed in this paper has high practical value. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2024.

This article introduces a construction method that provides solutions capable of promoting the load-bearing use of stone in new buildings. Considering the economic and environmental advantages of natural stone in an international context of seeking reasonable resource use and construction processes with a better environmental impact, this research aims to open new perspectives for the use of natural stone as a structural material in contemporary architecture. The underlying hypothesis of this research is that the use of stone in load-bearing systems, gradually abandoned during the 20th century, could regain significant interest if new design and engineering models were developed more extensively. The article presents the method applied to the design and fabrication of two prefabricated load-bearing freestone walls, which are part of an innovative construction method based on prefabricated masonry elements. After construction, the two prototypes were lifted and transported to a national natural stone exhibition, located 30 km from the manufacturing site, thus demonstrating the feasibility of the process.

In contemporary digital landscape, the demand for personalized design is significantly influenced by rising consumer expectations. Enabling active user engagement and catering to individual preferences has become essential for creating personalized experiences, improve customer satisfaction and foster brand loyalty. These factors are fundamental to the success of products and services. However, traditional personalized design methodologies often lack active user active participation and are typically implemented through configurations predefined by experts. In this study, we introduce designGemini, a highly personalized design approach that integrates generative models with human digital twin. This methodology facilitates the generation of personalized designs through natural language interactions with generative models, while simultaneously enabling online preference recognition and ergonomic analysis via the establishment of human digital twins. Additionally, we present a case study on the personalized design of vehicle seats to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed approach. This case study effectively showcases product generation utilizing TAPS3D, a text-to-3D generative model, along with rapid ergonomic analysis employing a vision-based human digital twin modeling technique. © 2024 IEEE.

Traditional urban planning methods fall short in addressing the complexities of modern urbanization and environmental challenges. By adopting Generative design, Virtual Reality, and digital Twins, the aim is to make urban planning more interactive, accessible, and inclusive. The research is grounded in a comprehensive literature review across related fields, including digital Twins' dynamic modeling capabilities and Virtual Reality's immersive visualization potential. Initial findings from sit-down interviews with Eindhoven residents reveal critical insights into pedestrian preferences. In my next steps in the PhD, I will focus on developing Virtual Reality prototypes to further examine walkability and Generative design prototypes to generate urban planning aligning with regenerative development toward walkability. At the end of my PhD, the knowledge from previous prototypes is used to create a tool to simplify urban planning, including multiple stakeholders, to improve walkability in an urban context. This innovative approach promises to contribute significantly to the creation of livable, sustainable urban environments by leveraging cutting-edge technologies to address key challenges in urban walkability and planning.

This study explores the role of augmented reality (AR) technology in enhancing museum exhibition experiences, especially the design of AR human-computer interaction interfaces. The study collected the feedback from 56 interviewed audience members on museum AR displays through a questionnaire survey. The questionnaire includes 6 dimensions: AR technology experience, AR display attitude, interaction experience, etc. Results show satisfaction degrees across dimensions ranging from 75% to 85%. Display effect is the most satisfactory while human-computer interaction still has room for optimization. Discussions indicate that the application of AR technology can effectively enhance the attractiveness of museum exhibitions, but interface designs must be humanized, personalized, and aligned with exhibition needs. More research on interface optimization could be conducted in the future. Overall, AR technology will be one of the important approaches for museum digital transformation, but human-computer interaction still needs continuous improvements to elevate audience experiences. This study provides a framework and inspiration for the subsequent application of AR in the museum field. The main conclusions are: AR technology can effectively enhance the appeal of museum exhibitions. The design of AR human-computer interaction interfaces is critical and needs continuous optimization. The application of AR technology is an important approach for museum digital transformation. While the engineering of digital twins (DTs) of cyber-physical systems already faces a number of challenges, DTs of socio-technical systems are made even more complex by human and social factors, and a comprehensive representation of their internal relations is currently lacking. DTs for socio-technical systems could open up new ways of achieving common societal goals by i) providing an understanding of complex interactions and processes, and by ii) facilitating the design of and participation in collective actions. In this context, dynamic adaptation and motivational strategies would be required to swiftly address sub-optimal system behavior. To enable the model-driven engineering of DTs responding to such requirements, we propose a conceptual model of socio-technical systems and discuss it with use-case scenarios. The presented approach supports our vision of future DT-based model-driven interventions, empowering citizens and stakeholders in driving societal change and increasing community resilience.

As the global economy undergoes a shift towards digitalisation, digital marketplaces have become commonplace for both buyers and sellers to engage in transactions. However, in rural regions particularly in developing countries whereby connectivity infrastructure and digital use develop in non-linear ways, rural microenterprises (ME) are faced with the challenge of an increasingly digitalised market and target customers under the backdrop of a rapidly digitising economy. At the same time, digital innovation, particularly eCommerce platforms have not conventionally included rural ME as design participants nor as target users, further exasperating existing digital divides. This PhD aims to identify design implications and digitalisation strategies through participatory design (PD) methods to support and address the needs of rural ME, facilitating their inclusive participation in the digital economy through the participation in digital commerce. Through ethnographic fieldwork, the research aims to understand the dynamics of ME's work in rural Sarawak, Malaysia, their use and non-use of digital marketplaces and their digital capability needs. These understandings are then iteratively brought into a series of workshops with ME's and other stakeholders in the co-development of design implications for digital marketplaces. Building on previous work on system designs for rural microenterprises that are largely based in Europe, as well as the growing literature on rural computing, this research adds new empirical findings in digital marketplace design for microenterprises in rural Sarawak to current PD and human computer interaction (HCI) literature, centered in eCommerce design. © 2024 Owner/Author.
