As a crucial medium for showcasing human civilization, museums’ exhibition of cultural artifacts significantly impacts audiences’ experiences and the information they glean. Claborate-style paintings, a prominent category within traditional Chinese art, are predominantly presented in static exhibition modes and placed in windows alongside dreary text descriptions in museums. This exhibiting method impedes audience engagement and their comprehensive comprehension of the artwork. The fusion of immersive technology and claborate-style painting is a promising approach to preserving cultural relics by promoting it. With its immersive experience, virtual reality (VR) can enhance the audience’s appreciation and understanding of traditional Chinese paintings by creating a new virtual atmosphere. In this paper, the authors propose a method for introducing the 2.5D display of claborate-style painting in VR. A case study based on a well-known claborate-style painting, Bamboo Courtyard Pin Gu Tu by Qiu Ying from the Ming Dynasty was presented with focuses on the 2.5D representation method and the user test. With the display in VR, audiences can enjoy a visual experience that captures the essence of the painting and elevates the representation of the claborate-style painting. This study offers a practical reference for combining VR technology with claborate-style painting that gives the audience a more immersive experience to appreciate, which can contribute to the evolution of Chinese claborate-style painting in the modern era.

With the widespread application of artificial intelligence agents in daily life, social cues have received increasing attention as an important factor affecting human-machine trust. However, its specific role in depression treatment chatbots still needs further study. This study aimed to investigate how social cues influence users’ trust in a depression intervention chatbot. In the experiment, we compared two groups of chatbots: one therapeutic chatbot with high levels of social cues, using avatar animation to express emotional tone, facial expressions, and body movements, and the other chatbot with low levels of social cues. A bot that uses humane and empathetic text conversations. We also collected participants’ skin conductance and heart rate data to further explore the relationship between these physiological indicators and trust. The results of the study showed that in the self-help intervention for depression, therapeutic chatbots with higher levels of social cues significantly improved users’ trust levels and showed clear advantages in forming therapeutic alliance and user satisfaction. This paper focuses on the design, implementation and testing of a digital Twin (DT) application for a assembly/disassembly (A/D) flexible robotic cell (FRC) assisted by ABB robotic manipulator (RM). A 3D virtual model is implemented in Siemens NX Mechatronics Concept designer (MCD). S7-1200 PLC is programmed in Siemens TIA Portal, for both FRC and virtual model control, the last one based on inverse kinematics computation. A centralized architecture is applied for virtual FRC implementation and validation, to enable product simulation and for the automation control of the A/D manufacturing process. As part of the DT technology, Virtual Commissioning (VC) concept is used, to increase the production and performance, by optimizing tasks and to improve the traceability, by monitoring, analyzing and tracking every aspect of all manufacturing system. Moreover, VC significantly reduces potential human risks, delays and costs associated with the real on-site commissioning. To connect the FRC's PLC controllers with the NX MCD virtual plant model and for controlling the virtual model, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) configuration and simulation strategy is adopted. Therefore Soft Commissioning approach is implemented and performed, by testing the designed PLC software and the behavior of the system using the real physical PLC. A SCADA application is also implemented, acting as a DT operator panel for process monitoring, data acquisition, analysis and visualization of the entire mechatronic system.

digital twin(DT) has attracted a lot of attention in recent years, and it is studied in various industries. Machine tools digital twin(MTDT) is a derivative of DT in manufacturing and is considered to be the core component of the next generation of intelligent machine tools. This paper comprehensively sorts out the background and concepts related to MTDT. Including MTDT modeling tools, theories and applications. The virtual model modeling and data management in MTDT are specifically discussed. Finally, the theories contained in existing MTDT frameworks are summarized in combination with specific application scenarios. The politics around data and power relations related to technologies for buildings is a new area for HCI. This paper proposes an agenda for linking new types of data to the challenge of sustainability, bringing human-centredness to a particular tool for design and engineering professionals, Building Information modeling (BIM). BIM is the preferred technology platform for coordination and collaboration in architectural design and construction. BIM contains different types of data and information about a building including 3D (geometry), 4D (time), 5D (cost), 6D (facility management) and 7D (sustainability). Once constructed, this 'digital twin' of the building allows for adding new services and for stakeholders interacting with the building design through through sensors, immersive experiences and virtual, augmented and mixed realities. As a socio-technical software process, BIM also accommodates diverging agendas on design and construction for sustainability, and these diverging concepts about 'sustainability' "live" in different places with implications for the resulting BIM models. Based on our findings, we suggest a better integration and coherent representation of such issues of interest not only to new services but also stakeholders into the different forms of data (e.g. facilities management and sustainability). We argue for a stronger shared understanding of BIM as a platform for engaging with technologies designed for interacting with buildings and push agendas of sustainable construction.

With the development of virtual reality technology and its application in various fields, how to realize the natural and efficient interaction between human and virtual environment has always been a hot research issue. This paper mainly studies the realistic analysis of the relationship between augmented reality and virtual reality under the background of VR virtual reality. Starting from the research on virtual reality, this paper combines the features of virtual reality with the elements of visual presentation to conduct research on visual presentation in the sensory experience of virtual reality, analyze and find out the types and quantitative methods of visual presentation. This paper is supported by advance research, which is more in line with people's perceptual needs for visual presentation. [Context and motivation] digitalisation in agriculture is a socio-technical process that involves multiple stakeholders with diverse backgrounds and skills, e.g., in farming or technology. Capturing process transformation requires focusing on different dimensions, i.e., system structure, process flow, and actors' goals. Model-driven requirements engineering (MoDRE) techniques can offer the means to elicit and represent this multi-dimensional information. [Question/problem] This research investigates how MoDRE techniques can support the information exchange within interdisciplinary teams involved in the representation of process transformation in digital agriculture. [Principal ideas/results] We propose a method for process modelling in agricultural domains consisting of (1) a set of different diagrams, namely UML, i* and BPMN, (2) a procedure based on guidelines and (3) a tool to support the co-creation of the diagrams within the context of living labs (LLs, i.e., networks of stakeholders involved in a common socio-technical system). We plan to apply the method through action research in the context of 20 European living labs in the agricultural domain and evaluate the method through standard user questionnaires. [Contribution] There is little empirical evidence on using MoDRE techniques in real-world environments. This study fills this gap by developing a method for socio-technical process modelling in co-design contexts.

The agricultural production industry faces a fundamental transformation towards highly automated machines and operation procedures. Introducing swarm-based robot systems for processes such as soil cultivation, sowing, and harvesting comes with new operation scenarios requiring operators to monitor several machines simultaneously. Conventional user interfaces may not be able to cope with the associated change in information and interaction requirements. However, a successful transformation towards such automation scenarios depends on a suitable interaction design that considers human factors such as situation awareness, trust, mental models, and workload. Through efficient navigation architectures or visualisation techniques, user interfaces can counter the impeding effects of humans being out-of-the-loop in multi-robot represent a promising approach to address these issues. Instead of function-based information presentation in conventional user interfaces, goal-oriented approaches highlight the role of machine functions and states in the context of higher-level performance goals. This approach provides opportunities to support operators in understanding the underlying relations between machine functions and their effects on goals such as production performance or efficiency. This article presents the development and evaluation of a goal-oriented user interface for monitoring and controlling highly automated combine harvesters. A hierarchical information visualisation summarised machine data into high-level performance indicators. This visualisation approach also enables operators to access information and control options at different levels of depth to facilitate their situation assessment efforts in continuous switching of loops in multi-robot monitoring. However, fundamentally changing visual and functional characteristics of user interfaces may contradict performance, as they require operators to adapt. Neuromorphic computing has endeavored a novel computing paradigm that entails a bio-inspired architecture to reproduce the remarkable functionalities of the human brain, such as massively parallel processing and extremely low-power consumption. However, those promising merits can be greatly canceled by the mismatched communication infrastructure in large-scale hardware implementation, in view of the vast degree of neural connectivity, the unstructured spike dataflow, and the unbalanced model workload assignment. In an effort to tackle those challenges, this work presents NeuroHexa, a network-on-chip (NoC) architecture intended for multi-core neuromorphic design. NeuroHexa adopts a customized intra-chip hexagonal topology, which can be further cascaded in 6 directions by either 2D or 3D chiplet integration. designed in globally asynchronous, locally synchronous (GALS) methodology, a group of processing nodes can operate in independent work pace to further improve resource utilization. To satisfy the varied requirement of data reuse across the chip, NeuroHexa proposes a flexible multicast routing mechanism to best adapt to the model-defined dataflow. And under a specific congestion scenario, NeuroHexa can switch its routing algorithm between deterministic routing and fully adaptive routing modes. The presented NoC router is evaluated in 28nm CMOS, where we achieve the maximal throughput as 179.2Gbps, and the best energy efficiency as 4.872pJ/packet at the area overhead of 0.0226mm 2 .
