In the world, the human robots being a important part in the relationship between human-machine. In this context, a study and design to implementation of a biped robot that is focused in a mathematical modeling and analysis of direct and kinematic, using matrix techniques proposed by Denavit and Hartenberg (DH). In the first part only legs are implemented using digital servos motors without feedback signals. Is necessary to use a high performance driver to control of biped robot, in this case an Arduino DUE are used for this propose. The results show a high performance of mathematical modeling when the walking surface is flat, but when the walking surface change the performance is no good.

Procedural content generation is an increasingly important area of technology within modern human-computer interaction with direct applications in digital games, the semantic web, and interface, media and software design. The personalization of experience via the modeling of the user, coupled with the appropriate adjustment of the content according to user needs and preferences are important steps towards effective and meaningful content generation. This paper introduces a framework for procedural content generation driven by computational models of user experience we name Experience-Driven Procedural Content Generation. While the framework is generic and applicable to various subareas of human computer interaction, we employ games as an indicative example of content-intensive software that enables rich forms of interaction.

Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) is a wireless communication technology which can be used to monitor human movements. In this monitoring system, a BLE signal scanner scans signal strength of BLE tags carried by people, to thus infer human movement patterns within its monitoring zone. However to the extent of our knowledge one main aspect of this monitoring system which has not yet been thoroughly investigated in literature is how to build a sound theoretical model, based on tunable BLE communication parameters such as scanning time interval and advertising time interval, to enable the study and design of effective and efficient movement monitoring systems. In this paper, we proposed and developed a statistical model based on Monte-Carlo simulation, which can be utilized to assess impacts of BLE technology parameters in terms of latency and efficiency, on a movement monitoring system, and can thus benefit a more efficient system design.

Press Play: Interactive Device design is a four-year-old introductory course at Stanford that explores the human-centered and technical workings behind interactive devices ranging from cell phones and video controllers to household appliances and smart cars. Students build a working MP3 player prototype of their own design using embedded microcontrollers, digital audio decoders, component sensors and other electronic hardware. Topics include electronics prototyping, interface prototyping, sensors and actuators, microcontroller development, multimodal displays, physical prototyping, user needs and usability testing. The course is intended as a deep-dive introduction to electrical engineering through the vehicle of interactive device design. Students having a general familiarity with the products of electrical engineering engage with the underlying tools and technologies that make such products possible. By focusing the class project on the design of a digital music player, we aim to attract a broad demographic, and to illustrate how human-centered design considerations can to be integrated into the system design process. We present this course description-which encompasses motivation, implementation and assessment-to provide insights and inspiration for those looking to teach similar courses.

Images captured by digital cameras are generally not perfect as image blurring is usually generated by camera motion through long hand-held exposure. Deblurring filters can be used to improve image quality by removing image blur. Prior to develop a deblurring filter, a simulator for image quality assessment is essential to optimize filter parameters. Although subjective image quality assessment (subjective IQA) is commonly used for evaluating the visual effect of digital images for a wide range of image processing applications, it is inconvenient to be implemented in real-time. Generally, statistical regression is used to generate a functional map to correlate the subjective IQA and the objective image quality metrics. However, it cannot address the uncertainty caused by human judgment during the subjective IQA. This paper first proposes a fuzzy regression method to develop the functional map that overcomes the limitation of statistical regression that cannot account for uncertainty introduced through human judgment. Based on the fuzzy regression models, the deblurring filter parameters can be optimized. Experimental results show that the satisfactory deblurring can be achieved on blurred images captured by a smartphone camera.

This paper presents the computer aided design (CAD) and computer aided engineering (CAE) modeling of Cluj-Sud 110 kV high voltage substation in order to examine the influence of substation constructive elements and apparatus (e.g. phase conductors, bypass bus bars, breakers and towers) on the spatial electric field distribution. The substation belongs to FDEE Electrica distributie Transilvania Nord SA. In a first step the detailed three dimensional (3D) CAD models of the substation components are constructed and assembled in the CAD environment SolidWorks. Then the exact 3D coordinates of the terminals are automatically retrieved and the electric field distribution is computed on the 3D CAD model using a CAE software developed. The electric field distribution is represented on horizontal and transversal slices at the 3D CAD model in order to highlight the high intensity field zones and compare them with respect to the actual legislation norms of human exposure.

A technique of parameter personalization of a 1d hemodynamic model is discussed and validated against physiological data of 1546 examined patients. Different parameter combinations were used, with the quality of prediction of the systolic and diastolic pressures used as the principle validation criterion. It is shown that with an appropriate personalization the model can provide adequate predictions (correlations near 0.9), where the decisive role is played by the total peripheral resistance parameter. Meanwhile parameters of the largest arteries do not play a significant role in the prediction.
