Most existing DTN routing algorithms can't show efficient network performance. Prophet is a routing protocol widely used for DTNs. The delivery predictability of active nodes will obviously reduce with the same speed as less active nodes. In this paper, we propose an Adaptive Probability Prediction Routing (APPR) approach, which can dynamically adjust the aging factor based on the active degree of nodes. Leveraging the APPR approach, the delivery predictability of each node can be reduced in different speed if the node does not encounter the other node. Furthermore, when two nodes encounter, the forward decision depends on the distance between each node to the destination node, if the delivery predictabilities of encountered nodes are similar. Compared with the traditional Prophet, simulation results demonstrate the proposed APPR approach can significantly improve successful delivery ratio, reduce overhead ratio and the average latency.

In order to improve the location accuracy of DV-Hop algorithm, an improved algorithm based on iterative computation and two communication ranges was proposed. This algorithm first selects a suitable communication radius for the current network topology and then uses it to estimate the average per hop distance of beacon nodes with the default communication radius of the node. Finally, an iterative algorithm was used to revise the average per hop distance obtained in the previous step so as to select the minimum average per hop distance to calculate the distance between the unknown nodes and beacon nodes. The simulation result indicates that the improved algorithm can greatly improve the location accuracy without obviously increasing algorithm complexity and communication traffic. © 2019 IEEE.

As information technology develops and prevails across the globe, the informatization and data processing efficiency in the aquaculture field are exerting increasing impact on the intelligent conversion of this field. The aquaculture water quality indicators were analyzed by a feedforward error back propagation algorithm (BP neural network) with strong nonlinear mapping capacity, and the complicated nonlinear relations among the parameters of the aquaculture environment were solved. An aquaculture element analysis model was proposed, the Johnson attribute reduction algorithm based on the discernibility matrix was used to optimize the traditional algorithm, and the network convergence speed was increased under a given accuracy. The MapReduece distributed programming model was then used to perform parallel design of the BP neural network algorithm to meet the needs of massive data processing in aquaculture platforms. Also, case studies were performed to analyze the aquaculture element model and the parallel learning algorithm, and the big data framework design and data analysis method are integrated to develop an efficient, fault-tolerant aquaculture data management, mining, visualization big data system.

With the rapid development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology, the number of nodes in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is explosively increasing, and the scale of network is increased gradually. Traditional single-layer non-clustering network is no longer suitable for current WSNs, which results in high maintenance cost and fast deterioration of network performance. By analyzing the impact of existing static and dynamic clustering schemes on network performance, it is concluded that additional factors need to be considered to improve the overall performance of the network, such as residual energy of nodes, number of neighbor nodes and load balancing. Therefore, an adaptive multi-layer clustering networking strategy based on capability weights is proposed. based on the real-time changes of each cluster density, node load and residual energy, the node capacity weights are updated dynamically according to the actual network performance, then the cluster heads are renewed adaptively. By comparing the performance metrics in the experiments, proposed strategy can effectively reduce the load of key nodes such as cluster head, and improves the network performance metrics such as average transmission delay, average transmission hops and load balancing. © 2019 IEEE.

The recent detection of gravitational waves and electromagnetic counterparts emitted during and after the collision of two neutron stars marks a breakthrough in the field of multi-messenger astronomy. Numerical relativity simulations are the only tool to describe the binary's merger dynamics in the regime when speeds are largest and gravity is strongest. In this work we report state-of-the-art binary neutron star simulations for irrotational (non-spinning) and spinning configurations. The main use of these simulations is to model the gravitational-wave signal. Key numerical requirements are the understanding of the convergence properties of the numerical data and a detailed error budget. The simulations have been performed on different HPC clusters, they use multiple grid resolutions, and are based on eccentricity reduced quasi-circular initial data. We obtain convergent waveforms with phase errors of 0.5 - 1.5rad accumulated over similar to 12 orbits to merger. The waveforms have been used for the construction of a phenomenological waveform model which has been applied for the analysis of the recent binary neutron star detection. Additionally, we show that the data can also be used to test other state-of-the-art semi-analytical waveform models.

Quantum teleportation faithfully transfers quantum bits (qubits) between distant nodes, which enables global quantum communication network. In this paper, a scheme for faithful multi-hop qubit transmission is proposed employing parallel quantum measurements. In terms of communication delay, the proposed scheme transports a qubit in time almost the same as the one-hop quantum teleportation does regardless of the number of hops between the source and destination. © 2019 IEEE.

With the rapid development of highperformance computing, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) has become an important part of hydrodynamics and aerodynamics. Mesh quality is the key factor that affects the accuracy and efficiency of CFD numerical calculation. However, the current the process of mesh quality discrimination is very time-consuming. The manpower time needed for this process takes up a large proportion in the whole numerical calculation process. A large number of artificial intelligence algorithms have been put forward to replace the human to efficiently complete all kinds of tedious tasks. In this paper, we propose a convolutional neural network (CNN) based mesh quality discrimination method, MeshNet. MeshNet uses residual neural network structure to learn mesh features and automatically judge the mesh quality. The experimental results show that the proposed network can greatly save labor time cost and achieve an accuracy of 94.41% for mesh quality discrimination.

Aiming at the high complexity of parameter optimization for portfolio models, this paper designs a distributed high-performance portfolio optimization platform(HPPO) based on parallel computing framework and event driven architecture. The platform consists of the data layer, the model layer, and the excursion layer, which is built in a component, pluggable, and loosely coupled way. The platform adopts parallelization acceleration for backtesting and optimizing parameters of portfolio models in a certain historical interval. The platform is able to docking portfolio model with real-time market. based on the HPPO platform, a parallel program is designed to optimize the parameters of the value at risk(VAR) model. The performance of the platform are summarized by analyzing the experimental results and comparing with the open source framework Zipline and Rqalpha.

Computational skewness is a significant challenge in multi-tenant data-parallel clusters that introduce dynamic heterogeneity of machine capacity in distributed data processing. Previous efforts to addressing skewness mostly focus on hatch jobs based on the assumption that processing time is linearly dependent on the size of partitioned data. However, they are ill-suited for iterative machine learning (ML) jobs, which (1) exhibit a non-linear relationship between the size of partitioned parameters and processing time within each iteration, and (2) show an explicit binding relationship between input data and parameters for parameter update. In this paper, we present FlexPara, a parameter partition approach that leverages the non-linear relationship and provisions adaptive tasks to match the distinct machine capacity so as to address the skewness in iterative ML jobs on data parallel clusters. FlexPara first predicts task processing time based on a capacity model designed for iterative ML jobs without the linear assumption. It then partitions parameters to parallel tasks through proactive parameter reassignment. Such reassignment can significantly reduce network transmission cost incurred by input data movement due to the binding relationship. We implement FlexPara in Spark and evaluate it with various ML jobs. Experimental results show that compared to hash partition, FlexPara speeds up the execution by up to 54% and 43% in private and NSF Chameleon clusters, respectively.

Data distribution is a key technology for resources convergence and sharing in distributed environment. To better meet the requirement for real time data distribution in the dynamic network, a trace routing algorithm named CRAWL based on the hybrid two-layered topology is put forward. The algorithm contains an overlay topology named CBDLO, upper of which consists of multiple distributed balanced binary trees corresponding to different properties and the lower of which is an unstructured topology. CRAWL forwards the data on the lower unstructured topology in the form of random walk, so that the data can be sent to the corresponding upper topology entry. It also includes a matching algorithm named CDM for the parallel matching data properties on the upper distributed and balanced binary tree and transmitting the matched data to the nodes that are interested in the data. The experimental results show that the algorithm can effectively support large-scale data distribution in a dynamical network, reduce distribution overhead and matching delays. © 2019, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
