Forgeries related with official printed documents can easily be performed with the aid of today's advanced electronic devices such as scanners and computers. The forged documents are usually undetectable by human eyes and it is with this regard that there is an urgent need to find solutions to the threat of counterfeiting of such documents. With watermarking technique, information that is used to determine the validity of printed document can be embedded in the document. The embedded information can be imperceptible to human eyes, thus the process of forgery is made harder for the attackers. To authenticate the owner of the document, the embedded watermark is extracted from the watermarked document. However, in the verification process the printed document may suffer from printing and scanning (PS) distortion and as such it is necessary to resolve the noise and unwanted rotation as well as any degradation made by printing and scanning. This study proposed a watermarking technique to address this issue. © 2010 IEEE.

In this research will show a method for sound-recognition with artificial neural network backpropagation concept. The artificial neural network use sigmoid activation function to all layer. Steps to the extraction, first, divide into ten component, second do the Fast Fourier Transform, third continue with Power Spectral Density, fourth count the average. The end result show that the pattern will recognize by the Artificial Neural Network. Extraction performed, as well as Fourier transform, and also calculate the power density, and then process them with artificial neural networks, allows the system to do the identification of voice data Gamelan Bonang using In this research will show a method for sound-recognition with artificial neural network backpropagation concept. © 2010 IEEE.

The selection of slot and room in the process of improving timetable solution plays an important role in ensuring a good quality of timetable can be produced in a shorter time. A good selection strategy or technique will be able to remove the unnecessary repeated selection process due to the rejected assignments. This paper study the Room Slot Address (RSA) selection technique with three variations, namely Random RSA selection, Earliest RSA selection and Semi-Random RSA selection techniques. The role of RSA selection technique is to select an RSA before it can be assigned to an event selected in the earlier process. Five sets of data from international Timetabling Competition were used in the experiment. The experimental results shows that Semi-Random RSA selection technique used the shortest execution time while random RSA selection technique was found to be using the longest execution time (about three times longer). In terms of percentage penalty reduction (%PR), Semi-Random RSA selection technique outperformed the other two techniques by producing the highest %PR of 3 out of 5 datasets and therefore can be concluded as the best RSA selection technique to be used in the proposed Modified PSO algorithm in solving class scheduling problems. © 2010 IEEE.

This paper presents a new automatic initialization procedure for a level-set based segmentation algorithm that works on all slices for a given CT dataset. Level set segmentation algorithms provide promising results, are robust to dataset variations and do not require prior training. As such, they can be reliably used for segmentation of major organs in abdominal CT scans. However, level set algorithms still require user intervention to plot the initial contour for each slice in a given dataset, which is a time consuming process. Therefore, we propose here, a technique of using multiple views to automatically initialize and propagate the contour through each slice in the CT dataset. The technique requires a user to only initialize a single point within the organ of interest in order to initiate the automated segmentation process. We report the segmentation results for liver and spleen organs within the abdominal region using three different datasets. We conclude that this technique can be used to reduce the processing time for any level set algorithm suitable to abdominal CT scans. We typically achieve time efficiency up to 203.03% for complete segmentation of three organs as compared to manually initializing the level set contour for each slice. © 2010 IEEE.

Some key technologies of 3D visualization GIS, which include 3D data acquiring, 3D geometry modeling, virtual reality, 3D spatial analysis, large terrain real-time roaming, indoor roaming and 3D Web GIS, can be introduced into geosciences. In this paper, analysis and management method of spatial information in 3D GIS are used in the process of basin modelling. According to geometry and mechanical distortion principle, authors develop the computer simulation and visualization technique, which use 2D seismic interpretative profile, tectonic plan map, sedimentary facies map and well log sheet to generate 3D tectonic-stratigraphic framework of basin, and also develop the technique to establish spatial information system of real 3D digital basin. Boundary Replacement (B-Rep) model, a kind of GIS data structure, is used to describe the relationship among entities in basin and a set of complete and practical coding methods and principles of modeling are brought forward. On the basis of B-Rep model and these coding methods and principles of modeling, some interpolation methods are introduced. A new method, similar deformation interpolation method, is put forward. After establishment of a basin three-dimensional tectonic-stratigraphic framework, analysis methods of 3D GIS are introduced to analyze the 3D digital basin. It is farther discussed how to use 3D GIS analysis method to realize vector cutting of the 3D digital basin in this paper. It is also discussed how to use three-dimensional dynamic analysis technique to simulate the process of generation, expulsion, migration and accumulation of petroleum. Spatial database technique of 3D GIS is also applied to manage, save and search all kinds of vector data, raster data and attribute data during basin modelling. At the end of paper, it is expatiated how to use 3D WebGIS to publish and share three-dimensional tectonic-stratigraphic framework of basin on the Internet. The market share of wrought Magnesium products such as structural and functional components is recently increasing Extrusion at elevated temperatures is used to produce reliable plastic deformation, since magnesium alloys have limited ductility at room temperature In order to produce sound extruded products, high quality billets are required. Understanding the influence of direct chill casting conditions on the production properties such as quality, safety, workability and microstructure have a profound importance. Comprehensive computer simulations were used in order to model the casting so that process parameters can be identified and controlled, resulting in significant benefits. The aim of modeling is to provide temperature profiles for a more accurate solidification analysis, predict the solidification time and the effect of cooling on the solidification. The experimental study included castings of several Magnesium alloys, each with 7 (seven) thermocouples that were submerged into the billet. Considering the practical annular heating furnace of some company, a three-dimensional mathematical model for the round billets' heating process was set up and a numerical simulation system, using TDMA numerical method of alternating direction implicit, was developed for the heating process in the annual furnace. Comparing with the temperature distribution in round billet from a black box experiment, the mathematical model was verified to be correct and credible. The research lays the theoretical foundation for the optimal on-line computer control system of round billets' heating process, which will be put into effect.

Porous medium vacuum drying is a complicated heat and mass transfer process. Based on theory of energy and mass balance, a moisture model for vacuum drying porous medium was constructed. The model is implemented and solved with two-dimensions by finite element method (FEM).The temperature, moisture and pressure inner porous medium is discussed. The moisture temperature, and moisture and temperature stress inner porous medium is simulated. The results show that the temperature stress is the larger than the moisture stress, the total stress is the drag stress. The pressure gradient is far then the moisture and temperature stress, and the effect of pressure on drying quality can be not ignored.

Nowadays, frozen foods are well-known among Malaysia society. This is due to the modern lifestyles which require short food preparing times without neglecting the food nutritious. In supporting this requirement, the manipulation of vending machine is identified as a tool to promote modern and healthy living style, besides to simplify the cooking process. This paper describes the effort on designing conceptual model for a proposed steaming food vending machine simulator. Conceptual modelling is the most crucial part in developing simulation model;since in this part, the developer need to identify the variables;recognize the desired simulation flows and transform the deliverables into visualized form which can be understood by all parties related to the project. In this study, the process of three main states (user selection state, freezer state and steaming state) has been modelled using process approach, which emphasized on the process flow or control logic to construct the model for steamed buns vending machine application.

In an attempt to simulate and predict the performance of the small-scale-rotary engine, a comprehensive computer simulation has been developed which based on Zero-dimensional thermodynamics cycle model which take account of the main characteristics of the small-scale-rotary engine: leakage, heat transfer, friction losses and combustion release, Then a mathematics model is created By represent of the MATALB/SIMULINK. In addition, currently the smallest commercialization of the small-scale-rotary engine OS-49-PI as an analysis example which operation process has been simulated, the effect of the revolution speed, the equivalence ratio and the leakage area for the combustion chamber pressure and Temperature also been studied. According to the simulation results of the analysis that simulation model is feasibility which can be used for small-scale micro-process research and provided a reference for development engine.
