In this paper, we focus on the qualification of teachers of physical sciences in terms of the integration of simulation in teaching the physical concepts. Our distance learning platform based on Moodle, is an effective alternative to continuous training in face-to-face mode. Indeed, conventional training is limited in time and space. The proposed solution allows overcoming the conventional training problems, while taking into consideration the real needs of physics teachers. The training is in agreement with collaborative learning features: Teachers are invited to build their knowledge in simulation software to solve student learning problems by cooperating with other teachers.

Probabilistic neural network (PNN) model is a kind of artificial neural network, which is simple in structure, easy for training and widely used. This method uses Bayes classifying and decision-making theory to constitute the mathematic model of system. With Gauss function as activating ones, it possesses the characteristics of strong nonlinear processing and anti- nterfering ability. This paper introduces a research on CT scanner fault diagnosis using PNN, and the MATLAB simulation results show that the prposed method is featured by swiftness, accuracy and easy for practical application.

This paper aims to realize the automatic recognition of abnormal patterns of control charts in a statistical process control system. A novel multi-class SVM is proposed to recognize the control chart patterns, which include six basic patterns (i.e. normal, cyclic, up-trend, down-trend, up-shift, and down-shift pattern). Unlike the commonly used One-Against-All (OAA) implementation methods, the structure of proposed multiclass SVM is same as a special decision tree with each node as a binary SVM classifier, which is built via recursively dividing the training dataset of six classes into two subsets of classes. The proposed multi-class SVM can increase recognition accuracy and resolve the unclassifiable region problems caused by OAA methods. based on this, Monte Carlo simulation is used to generate training and testing data samples. The results of simulated experiment show that the problem of false recognition has been addressed effectively, and the proposed decision tree of multi-class SVM is more effective in detecting unnatural patterns on control charts than the traditional OAA methods.

Using data communication networks for telephony services has evolved the telecommunication industry. The basic requirement in this field is achieving confidence about the quality of the telephony service. In this paper,a practical approach based on the quantitative and qualitative analysis is presented in order to evaluate the readiness of an Ethernet network for telephony service. The aim is to compare the results of the assessment using quantitative and qualitative analysis. In order to calculate the call capacity of the network,E-model is used. E-model estimates the Mean Opinion Score(MOS) rate of the voice quality using the measured network quantities. On the other hand,the quantity criterions are also used in this paper to evaluate the network. These criterions are packet loss ratio and delay. As a case study,we consider the simulation of an enterprise network connects two branches of the organization.
