the Internet of things (IoT) is one of the most intriguing technological revolutions of the last few years due to its rapid expansion. the advancement of IoT applications is dependent on standard and real-time communication protocols. the IoT protocols are designed to enable reliable messaging. However, the selection of a standard and efficient messaging protocol is a difficult and intimidating task for any organization. One of the main challenging issues facing the loT is wireless sen-sor networks (WSNs). the devices that make up these networks have low levels of memory, processing power, and energy. Certain restricted protocols must be in place to function in WSNs due to their constrained nature. In the context of a business application for monitoring, this paper shows the experimental performance of two protocols: Message Queue Telemetry Transport (MQTT) and Constrained Application Protocol (CoAP). © 2024 ieee.

A versatile and effective calculator architecture that supports operations in 8, 16, and 32-bit configurations is shown in this work. It is implemented in Verilog and System Verilog. the design incorporates the fundamental arithmetic operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, along with more complex capabilities like exponentiation, square root, and factorial computations. Additionally, it has shift capabilities and bitwise operations for efficient binary data manipulation. this architecture offers a strong answer for research, engineering, and programming applications where accuracy and flexible bit-width processing are crucial by combining fundamental and sophisticated computational capabilities. © 2024 ieee.

this article introduces a library automatic navigation intelligent vehicle system based on ROS. the system aims to improve the management efficiency of the library and optimize the service experience for readers. the smart car uses LiDAR for environmental scanning and map construction, and achieves autonomous path planning and navigation through SLAM technology. the smart car is equipped with a robotic arm and ca7era, which can recognize and grab books, and automatically navigate to the user's location. the system uses Nvidia JETSON Orin Nano as the upper computer and STM32F407 as the lower computer, and utilizes ROS functional packages such as Gmapping and Move_base for map building, positioning, and path planning. In addition, the system also provides remote control and voice control interfaces, and incorporates safety measures to ensure the safety and reliability of the smart car during navigation. ©2024 ieee.

Addressing the issue of limited work efficiency for intelligent robots in extreme and complex underwater environments such as the seabed, we propose an innovative underwater image enhancement method that combines dynamic color correction and deep convolutional technology. Firstly, the classical Gray World color correction algorithm has been improved to more robustly handle the intricate color cast challenges in underwater environments. Following this, Dense Residual Blocks are introduced to deepen the architecture of the convolutional neural network. By incorporating fully connected layers, the transmission efficiency and accuracy of information within the network are enhanced. Additionally, we have designed a Parallel Attention Module that reduces the network's parameter burden while granting it flexible processing capabilities. Furthermore, a Global Compensation Module is proposed, which further boosts the network's adaptability to complex variations in underwater environments. Experimental results demonstrate that our proposed method outperforms relevant comparison algorithms in both subjective and objective tests, more effectively resolving underwater degraded images and enhancing the work efficiency of underwater robots. © 2024 ieee.

this paper proposes an artificial intelligence model designed to identify the positions of the fingers on the hands, assigning them corresponding musical notes. the creation of this model involved the development of a custom dataset comprising various hand configurations, each specifying how a person mimics pressing a piano key. To expand the volume of data and improve its variety, data augmentation was used, a technique that helps the model perform more efficiently under various conditions of use. the data processing included normalization of the coordinates relative to the wrist, so that aspects such as the size, color or shape of the hands do not influence the performance of the model, and the actual position of the hands is independent of the distance from the camera. Another innovative aspect of the development was the application of contrastive learning, whereby the model distinguishes between correct and incorrect hand positions, forming pairs of similar data and minimizing the distances between their coordinates. the results show that the model achieved a high performance for hand gesture classification with an accuracy of 98.89%. © 2024 ieee.

Oral English practice constitutes a crucial component of English language acquisition for non-native speakers;however, traditional classroom teaching methods are increasingly insufficient to address the diverse needs of learners. this paper enhances the evaluation of pronunciation quality within computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL) system. To assess the fluency of English learners' pronunciation, this paper introduces the innovative feature known as wordDurationRatio. Additionally, an intonation evaluation method utilizing dynamic time warping (DTW) algorithms is explored. Finally, this study incorporates support vector regression (SVR) algorithms to effectively fuse features, enhancing the assessment result of pronunciation quality. © 2024 ieee.

this article develops an intelligent multi-channel absolute encoder acquisition device (IMAEAD) for a domestically produced intelligent programmable logic controller (IPLC), using the GD32 microcontroller from GigaDevice Semiconductor as the MCU control unit. the SIT3088 from Xinlite receives the clock and data signals from the absolute encoder, and designs an upper computer based on the Rockchip CPU to achieve data exchange with the multi-channel encoder acquisition device through the CAN bus. the ASM58N-F1AK1R0GN-1213 encoder and SSI signal simulator were used in the experiment to verify and test the developed acquisition device. the developed device can achieve real-time acquisition of the encoded value and judge the upper or lower threshold limit. It has been applied in practical engineering. the factors affecting the measurement accuracy and real-time performance of the device is Analyzed and the software system is optimized. the developed device is designed based on domestically produced electronic components, ensuring the security of the chip supply chain. © 2024 ieee.

In the ever-evolving urban landscape, the concept of the 'smart city' has emerged as a solution to enhance the quality of life for its residents and visitors. Leveraging IoT's data collection capabilities, our research delves into the creation of a sophisticated incident monitoring system capable of aggregating, analyzing, and responding to real-time data. the proposed architectural model highlights the data processing algorithms and communication protocols that facilitate the collection and transmission of pertinent data. In the pursuit of resilient and responsive urban environments, this research underscores the pivotal role of IoT-enabled real-time incident monitoring, offering insights into the potential of this technology to enhance the efficiency, safety, and overall well-being of smart city inhabitants. © 2024 ieee.

this research is aimed at understanding the performance benefits of the use of adaptive algorithms in dual-branch MRC systems as a solution for developing 5G networks. We developed controlled simulations to determine the performance influences of the algorithms in SNR, QoS, BER, and throughput under different network conditions. Our results indicate that the algorithms significantly reduce BER safe power divergence that improves the reliability and performance of the communication platform. the adaptive systems in addition reveal a significantly impressive ability to maintain a higher rate of throughput that is necessary in the current networks due to the increasing volume of data consumed by different users. In conclusion, therefore, this research has showed that adaptive MRC techniques might be a highly-viable option toward enabling the development of 5G technology, provided a suitable method for boosting performance during uncertain communications. © 2024 ieee.

In the field of computer artificial intelligence, traditional data analysis methods face challenges of incomplete data and low processing efficiency. To address this issue, this paper proposes a novel risk assessment model based on Natural Language processing (NLP) technology. Utilizing deep learning, Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN), and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks, the model analyzes unstructured data such as text, social media information, and news reports, thereby improving the accuracy and efficiency of data processing. the research results show that, compared to traditional methods, this model has significant advantages in data processing efficiency and accuracy. Future research will focus on enhancing the adaptability and practicality of the model, providing a more effective risk assessment tool for the field of computer artificial intelligence. © 2024 ieee.
