With the vigorous development of offshore wind energy, two-stage voltage step-up HVdc transmission has become a better choice compared with other transmission methods due to the lower cost and higher efficiency. It is essential to step-up the medium voltage (MV) level at the collection grid to the high voltage (HV) level at the export line. Therefore, the research on HV dc/dc converters has received widespread attention. This article introduces two modular multilevel dc/dc converters with high gain, HV, and galvanic isolation, which can be applied to connect the MVdc grid and HVdc grid in offshore wind energy systems. The topologies, operation principles, and control strategies of the two converters are illustrated in the article. The simulation based on power systems computeraideddesign/electromagnetic transients including DC (PSCAD/EMTDC) and hardware in loop experiment based on real-time digital simulation (RTDS) is completed. The operation principle and control strategy are validated by the simulation results and experiment results. The comparison results in terms of current stresses, costs, and power losses between these two converters and the two representative topologies previously proposed are presented. Then, the overall performance of each topology is evaluated based on the comparison results.

Nowadays, chili destemming poses a technical challenge in the chili processing industry, so the research on chili destemming robot holds a significant value. This paper presents the design of the mechanical structure, controlsystem, and visual positioning algorithm of a chili destemming machine. Firstly, a chili destemming machine featuring a (3T1R) Delta parallel robot and an end-effector destemming device is designed. Subsequently, the robot's kinematics and dynamics are analyzed, and a nonlinear-model-predictive-control (NMPC) algorithm is proposed to control the robot system and verify the system's rapid dynamic response characteristics. Finally, a chili stem cutting and positioning algorithm is devised to determine spatial cutting points and directions based on the training outcomes of the Yolact instance segmentation model, and its high accuracy is demonstrated.

Factor graph is a graph representing the factorization of a probability distribution function, and has been utilized in many autonomous machine computing tasks, such as localization, tracking, planning and control etc. We are developing an architecture with the goal of using factor graph as a common abstraction for most, if not, all autonomous machine computing tasks. If successful, the architecture would provide a very simple interface of mapping autonomous machine functions to the underlying compute hardware. As a first step of such an attempt, this paper presents our most recent work of developing a factor graph accelerator for LiDAR-Inertial Odometry (LIO), an essential task in many autonomous machines, such as autonomous vehicles and mobile robots. By modeling LIO as a factor graph, the proposed accelerator not only supports multi-sensor fusion such as LiDAR, inertial measurement unit (IMU), GPS, etc., but solves the global optimization problem of robot navigation in batch or incremental modes. Our evaluation demonstrates that the proposed design significantly improves the real-time performance and energy efficiency of autonomous machine navigation systems. The initial success suggests the potential of generalizing the factor graph architecture as a common abstraction for autonomous machine computing, including tracking, planning, and control etc.
