With the increased integration of renewable energy sources and power electronic devices, the complexity and uncertainty of power system operations have risen significantly, leading to an evolution in power system computation. Graph computing and Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) offer innovative perspectives and solutions to these challenges. This paper explores the application of graph computing in the analysis of large-scale and complex networks in power systems, as well as the potential of graph neural networks in data-driven power grid operation analysis and decision making. The paper systematically reviews the fundamental theories and key technologies of graph computing and GNNs, along with their specific applications in power systems. These applications include, but are not limited to, load forecasting, state estimation, and fault diagnosis. © 2024 ieee.

With the continuous development of the field of industrial design, intelligent technology plays an increasingly important role in improving design efficiency and innovation. First, through an in-depth needs analysis, the challenges and issues facing the field of industrial design are identified. Subsequently, a large amount of diversity data related to industrial design was collected and prepared to provide a strong support for system training. In terms of model selection, through comprehensive consideration of different architectures of GAN, models suitable for specific tasks are selected and carefully trained. For a user-friendly interactive experience, an intuitive user interface has been designed to make it easy for designers to upload design requirements, view generated results and provide feedback. The system integrates advanced technology such as computer aided design and virtual reality, which improves the comprehensiveness and practicability of the system. In order to promote the continuous improvement of system performance, feedback mechanism and continuous experimental optimization process are introduced. At the same time, security and privacy concerns are taken into account to ensure that the designed and generated data is properly handled. Finally, the effectiveness of the system is verified, and documentation and training materials are provided to support designers to make full use of the system. In summary, this study provides a complete and feasible method for the development of intelligent industrial design assistance system, and makes a positive contribution to the innovation and improvement of design efficiency in the field of industrial design. © 2024 ieee.

As an important industrial control component, the safe operation and real-time monitoring of electric ball valves are crucial. This article proposes a state monitoring system for electric ball valves based on embedded technology to address potential malfunctions that may occur during operation. The article will elaborate on the overall system architecture, sensor and monitoring module functional design, and upper computer software. The results indicate that the system can effectively monitor the operating status of electric ball valves, improve their reliability and safety, and have certain reference value for the field of industrial automation. © 2024 ieee.

With the rapid development of the DC distribution network, the method of limiting the rapid rise of current after a short-circuit fault on the DC side has become a research hotspot. This paper proposes a new DC fault current limiter (FCL) topology and its prototype design scheme. The topology converts DC into AC through the IGBT bridge during fault and uses the characteristics of low-frequency resistance and high frequency of reactor to limit current. Secondly, this paper optimizes the main equipment parameters of the proposed FCL prototype, selects the current limiting reactance, Hall sensor, drive plate and arrester, and uses AutoCAD to design the appearance and overall layout of the current limiting prototype. At the same time, the hardware and software of the control and protection system are designed. Based on the RS232 serial port, the software program communicates with the host computer to analyze the operating state of the current limiter under normal operation and fault period. Finally, the reliability and superiority of the FCL control system and current limiting characteristics proposed in this paper are verified by comparing the experiment with the RT-LAB semi-physical simulation data.

With the rapid increase in renewable energy installation nodes and the substantial enhancement of switching frequencies in the new power system, this paper proposes a design scheme for a cloud simulation software that employs the Latency Insertion Method (LIM) to decompose large-scale new power system models into several subsystems, enabling multi-platform integrated parallel computing. The self-developed platform meets the demands of ultra-large simulation scales, ultra-small simulation time steps, and massive simulation computations in power systems. Experimental results demonstrate that the accelerated simulation technology, which integrates model segmentation using LIM with multi-core parallel execution, can enhance the simulation speed by up to 858 times while maintaining simulation accuracy. This significantly improves simulation efficiency and is suitable for large-scale simulations of new power systems. © 2024 ieee.

To solve the high chain load problem of AIS and meet the needs of maritime communication, VHF data exchange system (VDES), which is applied in recent years, has been proposed and developed rapidly. This paper focuses on the important role and space-ground integration architecture of VDES, introduced the function of satellite VDES communication payload in the VDES system and the technical indicators of uplink and downlink. A suitable dynamic reception range is given for the Doppler shift generated during the relative motion between the VDES load and other parts of the architecture. Combining the functions and technical specifications of the VDES communication payload, this paper discusses the design and specific functions of the transceiver RF channel, digital baseband and power module, and interface module of the VDES communication payload. Finally, this paper gives the actual workflow of satellite VDES communication payload after orbiting, and discusses the subsequent development direction of satellite VDES communication payload. © 2023 ieee.

A smart door system, also known as a smart lock or intelligent door access system, is a modern Internet of Things (IoT) security technology that allows for remote and automated control of entry and exit within buildings or rooms in any smart environment (SE). These systems which frequently integrate with smartphones, keycards, or biometric authentication methods to improve security, convenience, and access control exhibit inefficiencies and setbacks for relying on various edge devices which introduce new vulnerabilities on daily basis. To mitigate these inefficiencies in future designs, this study considers it imperative to comprehensively understand the inefficiencies and related vulnerabilities of existing smart door systems in order to better design a robust system. Meanwhile, no systematic research has explored smart door control systems to identify the level of inefficiency and vulnerability each possesses, for a better design. Therefore, this study will explore the IoT automation and smart lock systems, highlighting their combined impact on increasing security, efficiency and their related vulnerabilities to guide for a more efficient design. Apart from contributing to usability research, this research will lead to a robust door control design implication, which is future consideration of our research.

The existing power system has problems such as arbitrary release of configuration files, inconsistent node configurations in clusters, difficulty in centralized management, lack of systematic configuration management mechanisms, and difficulty in meeting the demand for openness of the new power system. This paper proposes a design scheme for a new power system configuration management center based on dynamic release and full-domain coordination, and gives specific introductions to key technologies such as configuration lifecycle management, full-domain consistent coordination, multi-level system coordination, open business ecology, and parameter monitoring and alarming. The technology has been piloted in multiple power units in East China, Jiangsu, and Suzhou, and practice has proved that the scheme has significantly improved the controllability of the power system and enhanced the ability of the power grid to maintain safe and stable operation by establishing a unified and standardized dynamic release process for configuration and a centralized management mechanism. © 2024 ieee.

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a neurological condition that can cause severe physical and mental disabilities or death. One of the serious consequences of TBI is intracranial hematoma that can be diagnosed through early and proper analysis of the brain CT images. Proper estimation of hematoma volume is essential for envisaging the 30-day outcome. The Tada formula is the gold standard used by radiologists to quantify the hematoma volume in CT images which will provide accurate results only for symmetrical hematoma configurations. Manual volume assessment is further subjective and time-consuming, especially in real-time acute clinical care set-up. Hence a computer-aided scheme that uses image processing techniques for rapid, precise, and reliable assessment of hematoma volume is developed. The CT images are pre-processed using histogram equalization and gray matter is further extracted using thresholding and morphological operations. Then the hematoma regions are extracted using thresholding and the 3D hematoma volume for the entire CT scan is computed by multiplying the image width and the total area of hematoma in all CT images. The obtained hematoma volumes are clinically validated by radiologist and the proposed approach achieved an average accuracy of 89.51%. A 3D modeling of the hematoma regions in a CT scan was further generated to provide an extensive visual aid for improved hematoma interpretation and strategic analysis. The entire process of automated hematoma volume computation and generation of 3D volume in a CT scan took around 13 seconds using standalone system. The outcomes of the experiment show that the proposed method can be used as a medical support system for rapid and accurate diagnosis of hematoma.

Aiming at the demand of high precision monitoring in urban tunnel construction, this paper proposes a computer aided monitoring system based on autoregressive comprehensive moving average autoregressive model. The system incorporates advanced sensor arrays and machine learning algorithms to achieve real-time data acquisition, analysis and early warning of settlement changes during tunnel construction. The experimental results show that the maximum settlement value of the system at the monitoring point SZY-ZL4 is -3mm and the minimum settlement value is -13mm, while the maximum settlement value of the monitoring point SZY-ZL2 is 0mm and the minimum settlement value is -3mm, showing a high degree of monitoring accuracy and cost-effectiveness. By using the average autoregressive model in time series analysis and data mining technology, this study can accurately predict the settlement trend in tunnel construction and give early warning in time. The computer aided monitoring system provides a scientific and efficient safety state assessment and early warning strategy for tunnel construction safety. © 2024 ieee.
