The paper depicts the design and execution of a mobile robotic wheelchair controlled by voice and gesture using Mecanum wheels, with an ESP8266 micro controller used for further command processing. The novel system uses a gesture recognition module, which is intended to obtain commands based on hand movements to reflect into motion commands to the wheelchair. Voice command enables one to use the hands-free interface for mobility impaired individuals. The Mecanum wheel mechanism enables omnidirectional movement, which makes it easy to maneuver in tight locations and dynamic environments. The ESP8266 micro controller has been handy because it consumes less power, processes efficiently, and facilitates real-time communication. The paper demonstrates the challenges that pose gesture and voice control on an omnidirectional mobility platform and creates awareness concerning reliability, accuracy, and robustness in real-life applications. This was quite important, since the essence of this whole project is primarily contributing in two aspects: a step-forward in shared mobility solutions and being an intuitive, flexible, and efficient aid for the use of physically disabled persons. © 2025 ieee.

This case study addresses security attacks associated with SQL Injection, Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), and Email Phishing attacks on online platforms. The study focuses on a small beverage commercial web portal and fake Facebook pages as case examples. The objective is to enhance the operational resilience of these platforms by implementing input validation protocols and phishing detection plugins. The study aims to identify and analyze security vulnerabilities, develop strategies to minimize threats, integrate validation techniques and detection plugins, and proactively implement a secure environment. Moreover, this study relies on 18 references, including research publications from databases like ieee and Google Scholar. The findings highlight the significance of understanding phishing attacks and keyloggers, the prevalence of web-based ordering systems, and the risks of SQL Injection and Cross-Site Scripting in web applications. This paper presents our initial contributions toward defining security benchmarks for simulation-based assessment of Cooperative Driving Automation (CDA) applications. A security benchmark is a process or procedure for assessing and validating a system’s ability to achieve its operational objectives in the presence of specific security attacks. This work lays the groundwork for developing security benchmarks that assess the robustness of CDA applications against jamming attacks. The driving scenario and the attack model are the core components of our proposed security benchmark. We used two scenarios braking and sinusoidal as a stimulus for evaluating the robustness of a platooning application modeled in a simulation framework called Plexe. The platooning application is equipped with a Cooperative Adaptive Cruise control (CACC) controller. We injected barrage jamming attacks into the physical layer of the wireless communication system modeled by the ieee 802.11p protocol. We demonstrate that jamming attacks can compromise safety, leading to emergency braking and collision incidents among platooning vehicles. Our findings also indicate that the severity of jamming attacks varies with the driving scenario, with the most severe impacts (i.e., collisions) occurring when the attack is injected during vehicle acceleration. © ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering 2025.

Modern intelligent transportation systems and autonomous driving technologies are quite helpful in light of the population's increasing growth, and they work particularly well when used in conjunction with traffic sign monitoring. By giving drivers accurate and exact traffic signals, such as speed limits, warnings, and directional assistance, this makes transportation much safer. Autonomous vehicles must correctly understand these indicators in order to make wise driving judgments. Accurately identifying and classifying a wide variety of traffic signs in a range of environmental circumstances is a difficulty. A cutting-edge deep learning model created specifically for object recognition tasks is called YOLOv9 (You Only Look Once version 9).In addition to offering respectable speed and accuracy, YOLOv9 expands on the advantages of its predecessors by implementing cutting-edge strategies such as PGI and *** of these improvements, YOLOv9 is especially ideal for real-time applications like recognition of traffic signs, where more accuracy and quick and accurate object identification are essential. With an increased accuracy the results demonstrate the model's stability and dependability and show that it is appropriate for real-world uses in autonomous driving and traffic control. Subsequent investigations will concentrate on improving resilience in various situations, utilizing semi-supervised learning, creating more resource-efficient models, broadening the range of datasets, and combining traffic sign recognition with additional autonomous driving tasks. The development of dependable and effective traffic sign detection systems is furthered by this work. © 2025 ieee.

32.768kHz (32kHz) crystal oscillators (XOs) are widely used in real-time clocks (RTC) embedded in various electronic systems. Their performance is critical in battery-powered Internet-of-Things (IoT) sensor nodes when serving as wake-up timers. Extending the battery life requires an ultra-low-power (ULP) XO, as it must stay always-on. It also requires good frequency stability;otherwise, the system has to extend its communication guard times for synchronization, in which power-hungry transceivers need to stay active, leading to extra waste in power [1]. These demands have motivated much recent research to seek alternatives to the classic inverter-based Pierce oscillator, which is simple in design but typically consumes 10 to 100nW of power [2-5]. Pulse-injection XOs (PIXOs) are popular due to their sub-nW power consumption. Their power reduction comes from using a tiny conduction angle in the form of short pulses for Class-C-like operations. However, positioning current injections to the optimum timing typically requires generating an accurate delay, making pulse generators area-consuming [6-10]. Moreover, these methods cannot initiate the oscillation, as the zero-crossing instants, which are the starting times of the delay, are only available once an oscillation is present. These PIXOs, hence, need to embed separate start-up circuits to build up the initial oscillation, necessitating extra control logic and facing robustness challenges under accidental but strong interferences. A compact and easy-to-use ULP XO remains in demand from the cost-sensitive IoT market. © 2025 ieee.

This research study proposes a smart system designed to enhance solar energy utilization while protecting solar panels from adverse weather conditions, particularly during rainfall. This system is designed to automatically charge a battery during sunny conditions and, when rain is detected, it triggers a protective mechanism to cover the solar panels and produce energy from the rain drops which are falling on the piezoelectric grid. This helps to prevent damage and extend the lifespan of the solar panels. The system uses environmental sensors, especially a piezoelectric sensor, in order to continuously monitor the weather. When the rainfall is detected, it sends a signal to the control unit, which immediately activates the protective cover to shield the panels. On sunny days, the system focuses on efficiently charging a battery with the solar energy collected, making sure energy is stored for later use. In addition to protecting the solar panels, the system also optimizes energy usage. It offers a reliable solution for solar energy management by combining renewable energy collection with real time weather protection making it suitable for residential, commercial and industrial applications. The system not only improves the efficiency of renewable energy but also supports the sustainability of solar infrastructure. © 2025 ieee.

IoT (Internet of Things) has revolutionized various industries, and water management is no exception. This abstract introduces an IoT-based water management system designed to address the challenges of water scarcity, pollution, and inefficient distribution. Leveraging IoT devices like sensors, actuators, and communication modules, the system creates a networked infrastructure for real-time monitoring and management of water resources. Sensors deployed throughout the water distribution network collect data on flow, pressure, quality, and consumption patterns, which is then transmitted to a central server or cloud platform. The system instantly detects pipe leakage and promptly halts the water flow, even in the absence of human presence. This automated response helps prevent water scarcity. The automated segmentation of lungs within chest CT scans remains crucial for many medical applications that require disease diagnosis and treatment design. The presented deep incremental learning (DIL) system addresses fundamental limitations that arise during lung segmentation processes. The exceptional segmentation outcomes result from the neural network structure which includes masked RCNN+UNet for tissue segmentation and GAN+VARMA for classification. Medical literature identifies lung tissue structures as difficult to study because they present irregular forms and complex structures. The task of obtaining precise segmentation proves very challenging. The application of masked RCNN+UNet enables shape control and improves segmentation precision of the lung system. The DIL function helps maintain improved features within segmented images. The applied framework enables improved performance through DSC and MAE and JI metrics evaluation. Experimental evidence shows that the new framework achieves superior performance compared to current top-ranking methods for lung segmentation. The proposed framework exhibits excellent precision and detection efficiency with a DSC value of 0.96 and JI value of 0.93 and a low MAE © 2025 ieee.

About half of the world's population depends on rice as a basic food;but many leaf diseases—including Tungro, Brown Spot, Blast, and Bacterial Blight—threatens its output. Early and accurate diagnosis of these diseases is essential for good crop management since often-manual inspection methods are slow and prone to error. This work uses the VGG16 convolutional neural network (CNN) model to examine automatic categorization of rice leaf diseases. Created from the dataset were training, validation, and testing sets to assess model performance. After training, the model showed remarkable overall accuracy 95% great precision, recall, and F1-scores over all disease categories. The VGG16 model seems to be a useful instrument for improving control and detection of rice leaf disease. Quick diagnosis of disease symptoms allows this automated approach to significantly improve crop management strategies, reduce farmer economic losses, and therefore guarantee food security. The study highlights the opportunities of deep learning technology in agricultural applications, therefore providing the route for more continuous and efficient disease detection methods in rice farming. © 2025 ieee.

Due to the scaling of sub-micron technology and the growing complexity of applications, escalating power density and traffic workloads heavily burden the network-on-chip (NoC) in multi-core systems and exacerbate thermal reliability issues. While recent thermal management techniques offer innovative solutions, they often employ the same management strategy for all tiles in NoC and activate it synchronously, which inevitably causes system oscillation and temperature cycling. In this paper, we propose a novel compact interleaved thermal control method that staggers the control phases of neighboring nodes to create negative feedback for each tile. We further explore the optimal control phase assignment by formulating it as a graph coloring problem to achieve the best performance. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method lowers the maximal spatial and temporal temperature variations up to 83.1% and 71.2% and improves the system throughput by 35.85% averagely compared with the state-of-the-art work. Besides, the proposed method can achieve a significant average enhancement of 317.50% and 234.83% in the minimal and average thermal-related mean time to failure (MTTF). Moreover, the method is scalable without extra power or area costs and is compatible with existing thermal management techniques. © 2025 Copyright is held by the owner/author(s).
