This paper evaluates the performance of a double-stage converter for electric vehicles onboard charger applications. The dual-boost AC-DC converter is chosen as a front-end converter since it has higher efficiency, small passive element size, and lower EMI interference than the other AC-DC converters. A coupled inductor-based design for the AC-DC converter is chosen to overcome issues related to reserve current flowing problems for the rectifier body diodes and achieve zero-current switching (ZCS). Based on an LLC resonant network, the back-end converter provides galvanic isolation. To achieve ZVS, the LLC resonant converter frequency is higher than the resonance frequency. The suggested LLC resonant converter differs from the traditional LLC resonant in using two identical tiny transformers instead of utilizing one large transformer. This approach reduces the current stress on the secondary winding and decreases converter diode conduction losses. © 2024 ieee.

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV, drones) are becoming one of the key machines/tools of the modern world, especially in military applications. Numerous research work is underway to explore the possibility of using these machines in other applications such as delivery, protecting wildlife, agricultural activities, academy, searching, and rescue missions. Since these machines are unmanned vehicles, their functionalities are completely dependent upon the performances of their control systems. This article presents a control approach to obtain better stabilization in the attitude and altitude of a quadcopter under different disturbance conditions. The controller proposed is contingent on a Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) structure with a state observer (SO). The combination of LQR controller and the state observer is used to control and filter out the sensors and systems noises. Therefore, the quadcopter can be controlled to result in expected control performances in numerous different environments. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated through simulation results. © 2022 ieee.

This paper presents the design of a power detector including a readout circuit as well as a power coupler for built-in self-test and automatic level control applications at D-Band. In order to achieve high bandwidth operation, the frequency dependency of the coupler's coupling factor is exploited to compensate the active device frequency limitations. The detector achieves 1 dB resolution and flat responsivity characteristics (+/- 10.1% error) up to 15dBm input power within the entire D-band (110 - 170 GHz). Maintaining a sensitivity of more than 1 mV/ dB for input power values as small as -10dBm at 140 GHz, the circuit presents a dynamic range as high as 25 dB. The power detector occupies an area of 300 x 380 mu m(2), excluding pads, for a total DC power consumption of 4mW. To the best knowledge of the authors, the presented circuit shows the lowest error in responsivity in combination with highest dynamic range at D-Band among the state-of-the-art power detectors.

In this paper, the key role of camera robot in underwater exploration is discussed, and a two-axis motion frame system is designed. The core of the system is its highly integrated hardware architecture and intelligent software algorithms, aiming to improve the efficiency and quality of underwater image acquisition. In the aspect of hardware design, the STM32 microcontroller with high performance is selected as the Brain Center, which is responsible for the unified scheduling of various functional modules. CMOS industrial camera serves as image acquisition unit, its excellent low-light performance and rapid response to ensure that the underwater environment, clear and stable image acquisition. With the introduction of stepping motor, the translation and tilt of the camera platform can be controlled accurately, so that the camera can rotate flexibly in the horizontal and vertical directions to meet different detection requirements. In order to ensure the stable operation of the system under extreme underwater conditions, the optimization of PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom-RRB-control circuit and the integration of temperature and humidity sensors are especially emphasized in hardware circuit design, these measures effectively guarantee the reliability of the equipment. At the same time, the intelligent control mechanism of output power also ensures the efficient use of energy. In the structural design, all the joints are equipped with precision seals to prevent seawater intrusion, further enhancing the waterproof performance of the equipment. On the software level, the system adopts the advanced orthogonal iteration algorithm to optimize the image acquisition process. This algorithm can adjust camera parameters through iterative calculation in complex underwater environment, so as to achieve the best image stabilization effect. The adoption of mimic dynamic heterogeneous redundancy architecture is an important means to achieve endogenous security in information systems, which can be used to defend against known and unknown vulnerabilities and backdoor attacks. However, building mimic architecture lacks a cross platform, easy-to-use application mimic tool. The Netty based mimic application framework provides users with such a set of tools. Due to the use of Java to develop mimic components such as distributors, arbiters, and negative feedback scheduling at the bottom, it has the cross platform characteristics of Java, simplifying the installation and deployment of the final product;This framework is deployed in a container manner, which improves system efficiency and reduces the cost of mimic executor;The experimental results using this mimic framework show that the performance loss is less than 40%. The mimic application framework provides a convenient and efficient tool for realizing the mimic of applications. Based on consistency arbiter of redundant executor results, it can detect known and unknown attacks launched in cyberspace, and by cleaning and restoring abnormal executor, it can build a dynamic application running environment to support the security protection of information systems. © 2024 ieee.

Nowadays machine learning is increasing its usage in multiple domains such as bio medical, information security, firewall protection, medical science, internet of things and mobile application security. Hence the need of machine learning is increased more and more for several applications and in this current article we try to use machine learning for identifying the web or online attacks on mobile devices. Limiting the personal information leakage and privacy has become a difficult challenge as smartphone usage has increased quickly. Impersonation is a main consequence of this type of leakage. Since current defensive measures (such as passcodes and fingerprinting) are unable to regularly monitor usage and determine whether a user is authorized, it is practically impossible to stop this kind of unlawful usage. In general, once the user got authorized by the device then complete control will be under the user and no protection mechanism can stop the complete access of device data. Therefore, a multi-view bagging that is an approach based on machine learning is used to gather sequential tapping information on the keyboard of smart phone. To continually authenticate the user while they type, we build a sequential tapping biometrics approach. By conducting various experiments on our proposed model by taking sample dataset CLaMP (Classification of Malware with Portable headers) from Kaggle website and tested the ensemble classification model on that dataset. According to empirical and theoretical studies that compare our model to widely used shallow machine techniques we conclude that an 8.42% equal error rate, a 94.41% H-mean, and a 94.24% accuracy can be achieved by our system with the use of accelerometer and only five keyboard taps. © 2024 ieee.

In the paper, we propose the blazed metagrating structure composed of nano-sized square pillars to be attached to the leap motion controller (LMC) sensor, so that the combined system can generate a larger interaction space. Using the Fourier modal method, we analyze that when the optical device, or the configuration of the blazed metagrating layer we designed, is applied on the LMC module, the field of view (FOV) from the combined system can be extended with a reasonable angle as well as sufficient optical efficiency. Without direct contact with the object, the proposed system can help support remote interaction between human and digital content, especially useful in domains such as hand gesture rehabilitation and extended reality (XR) applications. © 2024 ieee.

The objective of this study is to examine the effectiveness of a hybrid methodology that combines Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) and k-Nearest Neighbors (k-NN) models in the context of energy prediction within data centres. The objective of this study is to improve the accuracy of predictions and the efficiency of operations by utilising the combined capabilities of these two machine learning approaches. The proposed LSTM-kNN model has superior performance compared to individual LSTM and k-NN models, as evidenced by a thorough assessment on sample data. It achieves a Mean Absolute Error (MAE) of 9.45, Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) of 12.97, and a coefficient of determination (R2) value of 0.89. The importance of model synergy in enhancing the accuracy of energy forecasts is shown by comparative analysis. The results of this study provide a significant contribution to the advancement of energy management methods in data centres. These findings provide vital insights for stakeholders, enabling them to optimise resource allocation, capacity planning, and sustainability initiatives. Proactive energy optimisation measures and cost-effective operational decisions are examples of practical applications. Potential avenues for future study encompass the exploration of supplementary machine learning techniques and the examination of the influence exerted by external factors on patterns of energy usage. In summary, this work highlights the significance of incorporating machine learning methods to tackle intricate issues in energy prediction and control in data centre settings. © 2024 ieee.

Owing to the nature of traffic and architecture of Wireless Seismic Data Acquisition (WSDA) networks also referred to as Wireless Geophone Networks (WGN), we propose a model that analytically investigates the performance of ieee 802.11 protocol for single-hop ad hoc WGNs under unsaturated traffic and non-ideal channel conditions. Although several ieee 802.11 models have been presented in literature, some inaccuracies exist with respect to modeling ieee 802.11-based WGNs. Our model focuses primarily on singling out the inaccuracies in modeling the backoff procedure and packet drop probability as some of the deviance with the existing literature. Expressions for MAC delay, throughput, collision probability, and average duration a node spends during the backoff procedure before decrementing its counter were proposed. Furthermore, the model investigates an optimal number of geophones that could be supported within a subnetwork based on the proposed WGN architecture in [16]. The model was evaluated analytically in MATLAB and validated using simulation in OMNeT++ discrete event simulator.
