The efficient and appropriate power flow technologies are necessary for better performance of renewable energy system applications. The comparative study of different MPPT algorithms, which are best for RES applications due to their influence on efficiency, low response time and the stability under different intervals of irradiance and temperature. When comes to this context, the key focus is evaluation of algorithms to the converter which is bidirectional by considering the desired operational conditions. The observations of this study are a forward step to optimization of systems with bidirectional converters in improving the reliability and sustainability. © 2025 ieee.

With the rapid development and widespread application of cloud computing, container technology has become a hot topic for enterprises and research institutions in recent years. This article proposes an automated container arrangement and resource optimization algorithm design based on cloud computing technology to address these issues. This algorithm can predict and adjust resources based on real-time and historical data of applications, ensuring efficient resource utilization and good application performance. The experimental results show that our optimization algorithm has improved by about 16% compared to the optimal adaptation strategy. Due to the more precise resource allocation of the algorithm in this article, the response time of the application has not been significantly affected. In the testing of system throughput, it can be found that our algorithm has improved throughput by about 15% compared to random strategies. Finally, energy consumption was tested and the results showed that our algorithm reduced energy consumption by approximately 28% due to higher resource utilization. These results demonstrate that our algorithm outperforms existing strategies in multiple key metrics. © 2025 SPIE.

In today's network environment, the application and dissemination of multimedia are becoming more and more extensive, and people are increasingly inseparable from the internet and multimedia in their daily lives, with a wide range of video applications emerging. But with this comes the problem of video security protection. Many images and videos on social networking platforms are stolen and re-published by other users for secondary creation. Therefore, it is not only necessary to protect the copyright of original videos, but also to ensure the information security during the storage and application of these video data. This paper proposes a video hashing algorithm based on the combination of global hashing based on invariant moments and partial hashing based on singular value decomposition, and the algorithm is used to detect the similarity of large-scale vehicle videos. By comparing with other video hashing algorithms, this paper's algorithm shows better results in terms of storage space, running time and recognition accuracy. © 2025 SPIE.

A comprehensive approach to energy-efficient smart home automation leveraging IoT technologies. The Altair Smart Core IoT platform integrates with Arduino, enabling remote control and management of household devices. The developed EHSWH model introduces a five-layered system architecture, facilitating automation features such as main door control, temperature and humidity monitoring, smart bin management, smart water pump operation, and automatic light and door control. Users can interact with the system effortlessly through RESTful web services and dedicated Android/web applications, ensuring convenience and accessibility. Extensive experimentation using the ns3 software in Ubuntu OS demonstrates the superior performance of the proposed EHSWHs protocol across key metrics, including packet delivery ratio, network throughput, energy efficiency, average delay, and routing overhead, underscoring its effectiveness in optimizing IoT network performance and efficiency. © 2025 ieee.

Self-balancing robots have become a key focus in robotics and control system studies since they are capable of standing on two wheels as an upright system. In the implementation of these systems, PID control, Linear Quadratic Regulation, fuzzy logic as well as reinforcement learning in machine learning is applied to control the balance and motion of the robots in the robots in different environmental conditions. This article reviews literature on self-balanced robots over the last half century moving beyond mechanical and electrical designs to control strategies including how double loop control incorporated PID control and how this has now shifted to machine learning. It also describes sensor fusion techniques where a Kalman filter or complementary role filters is employed sensor's accelerometer data and gyroscope data towards the assistance of estimating how tilted the robot is to the ground in degrees. Practical examples are also analyzed from personal devices such as the Segue, to education and robotics research. The paper also investigates the current challenges in the field including sensor drift , battery life, and especially the need for real time adjustment to varying environmental conditions such as bumpy terrain or perturbations. A number of ways are suggested such as using better sensors, control strategies and low power actuators which all improve balance robot systems. The study finishes with the discussion of the optimal developments, particularly focusing on the use of overcome strategies of controls using artificial intelligence for bringing about more flexibility and independency to self-balancing robots. © 2025 ieee.

Nonlinearity and other existing uncertainties, such as time delay, are commonly found in systems involving realistic operations. Lately, the time-delay estimation (TDE) mechanism has been gaining popularity in various control theory-related fields concerning the compensation of uncertainties present in control systems. This paper examines the effects of nonlinear backlash-like hysteresis and system time delay using a proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller, followed by introducing a TDE technique to a PID-controlled time-delay system. Experimental studies using simulation results are performed to validate the effectiveness of the proposed TDE-PID control method by emphasizing the estimation and attenuation of the nonlinearity effect present in a time-delay system. The results indicate an improved and robust transient system response under the impact of uncertainties like hysteresis and system disturbance present in a time-delay system. Further, the proposed TDE-PID control method is analysed for systems with varying time delays, and the simulation results further substantiate that the proposed method is effective. By considering various uncertainties, the proposed method can be used in different industrial applications, such as the frequency and voltage control in power systems. © 2025 ieee.

In light of the rapid expansion of voice- activated smart devices, achieving reliable and secure voice authentication across multiple rooms presents complex challenges. Traditional voice authentication methods fall short in differentiating speakers based on their specific locations, raising security risks in shared spaces. This study introduces a room-level voice authentication model that leverages both spatial audio features and machine learning techniques to distinguish users based on their physical environment. By analyzing room-specific acoustic signatures and integrating them with biometric voice characteristics, the proposed approach strengthens access control, offering a scalable solution that addresses the unique demands of multi- room setups. Performance evaluations indicate high accuracy in correctly identifying both speaker and room, confirming the method's potential for secure, location-based voice authentication in smart homes and office spaces. © 2025 ieee.

Unmanned aerial vehicles are increasingly used in applications like surveillance, mapping, and delivery, where precise and safe landings are crucial, especially on small, designated platforms in multimodal systems. However, achieving consistent landing accuracy is challenging due to sensor inaccuracies, environmental disturbances, and dynamic conditions. This paper introduces a synthetic drone simulation environment to test landing scenarios and control strategies. We propose a control framework combining a classical PD controller with a neural network-based data fusion model that corrects sensor noise, particularly in GPS and UWB data, to improve landing precision. Simulation results demonstrate that our approach enhances landing accuracy and robustness compared to traditional methods. © 2025 ieee.

This article presents a focused review of past performance, recent advancements and emerging trends in liquid crystal-based reconfigurable millimeter-wave components and systems, with applications extending to the Internet of Things (IoT) and beyond. Two primary developmental trajectories are highlighted: the use of phasereconfigurable delay lines in passively fed phased-array antennas and reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS) to enable adaptive communication, and the implementation of passive tunable filtering for dynamic spectrum allocation. These trends underscore an ongoing shift towards adaptable, intelligent, and energy-efficient hardware solutions, facilitating the next generation of smart, interconnected devices for IoT and AIoT (artificial intelligence of things). Furthermore, the potential of liquid crystal-based multi-modal sensing and communication is proposed and investigated, with a focus on improving power efficiency and enhancing security to support the development of future IoT ecosystems. © 2025 ieee.
