In this study, the signal fading prediction model was implemented with artificial neural networks by obtaining precipitation parameters and atmospheric conditions in order to evaluate the signal attenuation observed in the telecommand signals of the geosynchronous telecommunication satellite. For a real situation, the application of artificial deep neural networks (ANN) over the 24-hour high-resolution Weather Research & Forecast (WRF) model simulation outputs was performed on two high-resolution simulation areas and used to estimate and model satellite signal attenuation. Preliminary results obtained from error analysis (RMSE) on multiple-input single-output feedforward neural network (MISO FFNN) prediction model outputs tested with various artificial neural network algorithms agree with observations of signal attenuation observed in downlink telemetry (receiver automatic gain control TM) obtained from the satellite receiver equipment. showed quite high correlation accuracy.

In this study, designs for original conformal phased-array antenna (PAA) arrays for a cube-shaped satellite are investigated with the aim of transferring data from a remote sensing (RS) satellite to a satellite in geostationary earth orbit (GSO). A new design algorithm is proposed by conducting line-of-sight analysis to achieve maximum directivity, minimum side lobe, and minimum half power beamwidth (HPBW) with a fixed number of antenna elements. Hence, the communication duration between the RS satellite and the GSO satellite has been increased by placing conformal arrays at the corners of the satellite platform instead of a single surface and the impact of the distance between antenna elements and layers on performance parameters is examined in these conformal arrays.

Amplitude-comparison monopulse radars use a single pulse to make angular measurements by comparing the amplitudes of four sub-beams. The polarization characteristics of the waves reaching the radar receiver antenna play a crucial role in the angular measurement capability of the monopulse radar. Therefore, cross-polarization jamming is used in monopulse radars to generate angular error in the angular tracking loop. In this paper, the relationship between the polarization purity and output power of the jamming output antenna and the angular error of the monopulse radar angle processor is investigated in detail. In addition, a time-sharing cross-polarization jamming analysis is performed on two radars to determine the relationship between the radar beam width and time-sharing ratios.

Named Entity Recognition is the process of finding and labelling entity names in text. It is also important to use fine-grained entities in different application areas such as relation extraction, knowledge base building and question answering. However, studies in Turkish are insufficient in this context. In order to overcome this deficiency, we created large-scale dataset with 23 different fine-grained entities for Turkish. These fine-grained entities consist of subcategories of people, institutions and place entities. In the article, experiments were conducted with the transformer-based models in Turkish. While a F1 score of 93.34%, which is close to the state-of-the-art for Turkish, was obtained for general entity names, the performance for subcategories was 79.82%.

These allow the improvement of parameters that evaluate the performance of imaging systems, such as the Modulation Transfer Function (MTF). Within the scope of this study, the MTF value was calculated by means of edge detection filters and mathematical operators. The algorithm was developed using the Python 3.11.1 programming language. In this manuscript, we define graph cepstrum as a new tool which could be applied for homomorphic processing of graph signals. Our motivation in defining graph cepstrum was the successful application of conventional cepstrum in speech processing for determining pitch period. In this manuscript, as an example, we also present an application of graph cepstrum using a synthetic graph signal. It is our belief that, in future applications, graph cepstrum could also be used advantageously in processing of certain real-world graph signals.

This work presents the Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS)/Metal oxide-based flexible polymeric film casting by altering the composition of additive metal oxides to achieve refractive index engineering. Determining the changes in refractive index values with composition enables the design of the best operating polymeric optical waveguide. In addition, each composite was optically characterized and obtained a percentage Transmittance in the 400-1100 nm wavelength range. In addition, Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) analysis was performed to investigate the surface roughness of the samples. This paper suggests the use of deep learning techniques for the automatic classification of infant cry sounds. The primary aim of the proposed study is to automatically determine infants' basic needs by analyzing their cry sounds in real-time. To achieve this goal, deep learning techniques were employed for the sensitive and effective classification of infant cry sounds. Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) models utilized in the study were evaluated using accuracy and F1 score metrics. The experimental results indicate that the proposed method is more effective compared to previous studies on the same dataset. Specifically, it was observed that data augmentation and segmentation techniques applied in various scenarios for the classification of infant cry sounds enhanced the model's performance. The proposed study demonstrates the potential usefulness of employing deep learning techniques in the automatic analysis of infant cry sounds.

However, the current ESM systems tend to be physically large and cumbersome. To mitigate this problem, a portable ESM device is proposed. In this work, a compact single-board computer (SBC) is coupled with a Software Defined Radio (SDR) to create such a device. signals received by the SDR are sampled within the SDR and sent to the SBC. Those signals are then processed with various signalprocessing and machine learning algorithms to perform detection, measurement, and classification tasks. In recent years, LLMs have become increasingly popular. These models are being used in various fields and applications. While the increase in the number of models is positive in one aspect, it may not be easy to determine which LLM and LLM framework to use for a specific application. Finding a suitable model for its performance and response time may require many trials. In this study, the success of answering questions was measured using a combination of two different LLMs developed by OpenAI (GPT-3.5 & GPT-4) and five different methods, including LLM frameworks, on three different datasets. Additionally, the established structures were compared in terms of time. Consequently, this study establishes a base for developers planning to use these LLM frameworks to examine five different structures, laying the groundwork for future studies.
