Changes in epidermal thickness are linked to various skin diseases, such as diabetic foot. Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), a noninvasive imaging technology, enables detailed visualization of skin layers. This study employed a deep learning approach using the U-Net architecture to analyze OCT images, specifically focusing on the stratum corneum (SC) and epidermis (ED) layers. Utilizing a dataset of 10,000 images, the U-Net model achieved 92 % accuracy in predicting SC and 95% accuracy for ED. These results highlight the potential of this method for accurate 3D visualization of SC and ED layers, paving the way for precise assessment of skin layer thickness and its changes in medical applications.

This paper investigates the factors influencing the development of China's New Energy Vehicle (NEV) industry using an ARIMA model and power function nonlinear regression. A comprehensive dataset spanning 2013-2022 was collected and preprocessed, including technical, economic, convenience, and policy factors. The study employs entropy weight method for comprehensive evaluation and constructs a multiple linear regression model to analyze the impact of key factors. Correlation analysis and PCA visualization confirm the significant relationship between these factors and NEV development. The ARIMA and power function nonlinear regression models predict a robust growth in China's NEV industry over the next decade, with both models showing high accuracy in forecasting.

This paper presents the development of an innovative software tool that utilizes digital twin technology to measure the Poisson's ratio. Traditional measurement methods often face challenges due to the small magnitude of axial and radial strains, leading to inaccuracies and insufficient data representation. To overcome these limitations, we propose a digital twin-based approach that enables the creation of a virtual replica of physical systems, allowing for real-time simulation and analysis of material behavior. This software not only facilitates precise measurement of the Poisson's ratio but also generates interactive visual representations of the data, thereby enhancing the understanding of engineers and stakeholders. Our research findings indicate that integrating digital twin technology into Poisson's ratio testing is not only feasible but also beneficial. This approach significantly improves measurement reliability and showcases visually enriched plots, making it easier for engineers and researchers to interpret complex data. The utilization of digital twins allows for real-time simulations and comprehensive data analysis, which are crucial for understanding material behavior under external loads.

Aesthetic experiences are closely related to human emotions and experiences as well as the perception of aesthetic objects and phenomena. We consider interaction with generated immersive worlds to be an immersive aesthetic experience if it is designed independently of any functional use and can be experienced in an aesthetically pleasing way. The possibilities of generative techniques such as AI and other algorithms and visualization through the integration of virtual reality open up new aesthetic possibilities. We present the results of a collaboration between scientists and designers/artists in the development of a framework for three-dimensional fractals [5] and its application in various scenarios in the field of festivals, performances and exhibitions.

This paper presents a monocular UAV motion planning method based on the DRL method SDDPG. By processing image data with the self-proposed lightweight depth estimation model and a pretrained encoder, the information is sent into an improved Actor-Critic Network, which addresses overestimation issues and enhances learning efficiency. The experiments were conducted in Unreal Engine 4 and Airsim, which demonstrate the improvement of the motion planning ability, enabling UAVs to autonomously navigate and safely reach the defined destination.

We propose an AR system using Apple Vision Pro (AVP) to assess the accuracy of guide plate positioning in lumbar surgery. It leverages preoperative CT data and integrates fiducial marker tracking to automate the initial alignment of a virtual vertebra with the intraoperative anatomy. Additionally, we developed a graphical interface for the AVP platform, which allows manual adjustment of the pose and visualization of the virtual vertebra. The system was tested on 3D-printed lumbar phantoms, an ex vivo pig lumbar specimen, and two in vivo pig surgeries. Results demonstrated accurate guide plate alignment and superior visualization, validating the potential of AR systems in improving surgical precision in lumbar procedures.

Process monitoring plays a major role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of industrial processes. This paper introduces a new concept of normal operating zones for process monitoring. The normal operating zone (NOZ) is a high-dimensional geometric space consisting of variation ranges of multiple related process variables in normal conditions. It provides spatial information among process variables, as an indispensable complement to time information provided by time series of process variables. Abnormality detection and operation guidance for improved efficiency can be realized for multivariate processes by integrating time and spatial information in a visual and transparent way. Experimental and industrial case studies are provided to illustrate the applications of NOZs on threetank systems and power generation units.

This study aims to analyze the requirements for developing an intelligent digital platform for assessing Course Learning Outcomes (CLO) in undergraduate information Technology programs within the framework of Outcome-Based Education (OBE). Traditional CLO assessment methods face several limitations, such as time-consuming manual evaluation and a lack of in-depth analysis for timely instructional improvement. This study explores expectations and key functions of the digital platform through surveys conducted among faculty members, students, and administrators. The findings indicate that students and faculty prioritize the need for an Artificial Intelligence Assessment System (AAS), while administrators emphasize the importance of a Reporting and visualization System (RVS). These preferences align with expert evaluations, which identified the AAS as having the highest mean score (4.73), followed closely by the RVS (4.72). The overall mean score across all six components of the platform was 4.58, indicating a high level of importance. This research provides a foundational framework for developing an intelligent digital platform for CLO assessment in undergraduate information Technology programs. Beyond facilitating learning outcome assessments, the platform has the potential to enhance the quality and efficiency of higher education teaching and learning in the future.

One of the most essential problems underwater during the transmission of gas or crude oil through carbon steel pipelines is corroded, it is the critical issue - the subject of numerous research employing a variety of methodologies. The main goal of this research is to create a reliable and competent model that can precisely detect corrosion using certain algorithms specifically underwater image enhancement for corrosion pipeline inspection to improve the input photos, a dependable algorithm is used. The findings of this detection model show that the underwater image enhancement for corrosion pipeline inspection could be easily identified using a resized image and edge detection. © 2025 ieee.
