Microservice architectures have become very popular and widely adopted by the industry, because of the benefits they bring to the software development process and resulting systems, such as parallel development, modularity and scalability. However, as interfaces become more fine-grained and systems grown in size, complexity is moved from the component services to their interactions, eventually leading to intricate workflows that are hard to observe, visualize, and understand. This problem is compounded by the typically high workloads that produce intractable amounts of observation data. To deal with these challenges, operators need support from tools able to take in observation data, in particular tracing, and provide a fast and intuitive understanding of which components or workflows require attention and how are they affecting a module, service, instance, or the whole application. In this paper, we present the design of a microservice visualization application that can fill a gap that exists in leveraging tracing data, aggregating and navigating it in ways that are actionable for operators. Our application provides multiple views of the system and uses spatial and hierarchical navigation using flip zoom to simplify their exploration, while preserving context. Our application can provide a better understanding of the system than existing applications that lack navigability and do not preserve context when switching between different services, layers or views.

This paper proposes a framework of blind-spot visualization to see through obstacle via augmented reality (AR) glasses for safe driving enabled by millimeter-wave vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communications. Cooperative perception is known as promising technology to realize safe (automated-) driving where the driver can make immediate and accurate decisions by widely collecting information on the surrounding traffic environment. It is realized by extended sensors such as high-definition cameras and light detection and ranging (LiDAR) to be installed in road-side units (RSUs) all over the place. Camera and LiDAR sensor data of the blind-spot are transferred from RSU to the vehicle, and these sensor fusion data are created as the colored three-dimensional point cloud. It is then projected on the AR glasses. The key feature of our proposal is to provide blind-spot information as a realistic view so that drivers can recognize it without having to look at other display devices. Our initial implementation presents its feasibility through indoor and outdoor trials.

Difficulty arises in virtual reality (VR) due to cybersickness. The discrepancy in motion information between the visual and vestibular feedback causes sensory conflict, a widely accepted cause of cybersickness. Previous research has shown reduced VR sickness by augmenting the content with motion patterns in the opposite direction of the virtual motion. However, it can also cause significant content intrusion. This poster aims to mitigate the latter by applying content-aware textured motion patterns vs. simple white animated feature points. Positive results were obtained with a higher preference for the proposed visualization while showing a similar degree of sickness reduction.

An Augmented Reality (AR) system based on the holographic projection of the relevant anatomic structures is proposed for auxiliary visualization during surgeries. The current two-dimensional visualization systems require the surgeons to mentally extract the associated three-dimensional information during the interventions, which entails risks and complications. This work shows an AR holographic projection system for real-time three-dimensional representation of the relevant surgical information, thus overcoming this problem. As an initial proof of concept, the system is experimentally assessed as potential surgery training *** Relevance— This work explores the potential of AR holographic projection systems for intraoperative assistance to the surgical team, starting from its possible use as surgery training and planning tool.

This article uses 1849 media exposure papers published in 2000-2020 involve the core database of the Web of Science database as a research sample, uses bibliometrics to analyze the distribution of research papers by age, and uses the citation network analysis tool CiteSpace to study media exposure. The literature data was analyzed quantitatively, and the authors of the literature were drawn. The institution distribution, keywords clustering and research hotspot distribution analyzes the hot spots and cutting-edge trends of media exposure research, hoping to provide reference for media exposure research and social practice.
