The limited application of advanced analytics in social welfare programs hinders effective beneficiary identification and reduces the potential for optimizing socioeconomic outcomes. Addressing this gap, our paper introduces a web-based application designed to enhance the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) by utilizing multiple regression and forecasting techniques to improve decision-making in identifying program beneficiaries. By analyzing key socioeconomic data, the application generates actionable insights that support program administrators and policymakers, thereby enabling more accurate, data-driven decision-making. The application has been developed and is designed with a user-friendly interface that allows clients and stakeholders to easily navigate the system while accessing essential information. To ensure its robustness and reliability, the application was evaluated according to the ISO/IEC 25010 software quality model, receiving high scores across several dimensions, including functionality, performance efficiency, compatibility, reliability, usability, and security. Such evaluations underscore the application's capability to meet diverse user needs effectively. The findings suggest that this tool not only supports efficient beneficiary identification but also offers a scalable solution for broader social welfare programs. Future recommendations include the integration of more advanced analytics, enhancements in data visualization for better interpretability, and expansion of the platform's scalability to accommodate a growing user base and larger datasets, ensuring the system's adaptability and long-term viability in socioeconomic planning initiatives. © 2024 ieee.

Navigated surgery enables physicians to perform complex tasks assisted by virtual representations of surgical tools and anatomical structures visualized using intraoperative medical images. Integrating Augmented Reality (AR) in these scenarios enriches the virtual information presented to the surgeon by utilizing a wide range of visualization techniques. In this work, we introduce a novel approach to conveying additional depth and shape information of the augmented content using dynamic visualization techniques. Compared to existing works, these techniques allow users to gather information not only from pictorial but also from kinetic depth cues.

Student engagement is important in virtual and physical learning environments to ensure students are connected with the learning materials and the learning environment. However, understanding student engagement is difficult due to limited observation and uncertain participation metrics. This paper explores the application of machine learning techniques to analyze student engagement levels in online and face-to-face learning environments to uncover actionable insights. The data about student engagement was collected comprising diverse student attributes such as class interest, attendance, effort, and technology proficiency. Firstly, the dataset underwent preprocessing to handle missing values and normalize attributes. Attributes selection using information Gain and Correlation are employed to identify key predictors influencing student engagement. Subsequently, classification algorithms were applied to build predictive models. Model performance is evaluated using metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. Afterwards, trend analysis was carried out using a data visualization approach. The insights obtained from these analyses guide to the identification of critical factors such as class interest, attendance, and technology proficiency, which significantly impact engagement levels. The findings highlight the effectiveness of machine learning in discerning patterns and predicting student behaviors in virtual learning environments with Logistic Regression yielded 93.30% classification accuracy. Practical implications such as targeted interventions and curriculum adaptations can be designed to enhance engagement based on the identified predictors. © 2024 ieee.

Company' s brand perception majorly depends on customer experience and the reviews which follow that. A customer is capable of influencing many more people just on the basis of reviews given by him/her. Google released Pathways Language Model (PaLM) which is a major advancement in Artificial Intelligence (AI). It has been trained with the Pathways System, which allows it to generalize tasks in various domains. In this work, a trustworthy platform is provided for the examination of millions of people's continually moving and changing perspectives. Twitter data is captured, and effective sentiment and data analysis is used to generate trustworthy and helpful info graphics reflecting public opinion. Product sales, stock returns, election outcomes, and other commercial and social events may all be predicted and explained using the information found in tweets. Brands, product manufacturers, and other companies may utilise the information derived from data analysis to better understand their brand image, expand their market share by targeting the relevant demographics at the right moments, and enhance their offerings in terms of both quality and customer service. © 2023 ieee.

Research in gamification has significantly increased over the last five years. Many have proved the positive effects of gamification usage in education, especially in fostering students' motivation and learning outcomes. However, gamification research done in the context of accounting education remains limited than research done in other similar fields. This paper uses bibliometric analysis to explore the current state of gamification research in accounting education using data gathered from Scopus and Google Scholar. Initial extraction using specified query and publication year limitation of 2019 - 2024 in Harzing's Publish or Perish yielded a grand total of 1,045 papers. The search was done on 27th of May 2024. The papers are then manually reviewed based on their language and their relevance to the topic of the paper. From the initial number of papers, only 138 papers are written in English and are actually discussing gamification usage in the context of accounting education. The metadata of these papers are then visualized using VOSviewer. While gamification in general education research has flourished, research in gamification in accounting education specifically has only been increasing by little up to 2022 before reaching the peak in 2023. Some of the keywords that have high occurrences are game-based learning, serious games, learning, higher education, and teaching. Using the density visualization from VOSviewer, research gaps were found on terms such as academic achievements, technology acceptance model, and financial accounting. © 2024 ieee.

While rule-based attribution methods have proven useful for providing local explanations for Deep Neural Networks, explaining modern and more varied network architectures yields new challenges in generating trustworthy explanations, since the established rule sets might not be sufficient or applicable to novel network structures. As an elegant solution to the above issue, network canonization has recently been introduced. This procedure leverages the implementation-dependency of rule-based attributions and restructures a model into a functionally identical equivalent of alternative design to which established attribution rules can be applied. However, the idea of canonization and its usefulness have so far only been explored qualitatively. In this work, we quantitatively verify the beneficial effects of network canonization to rule-based attributions on VGG-16 and ResNet18 models with BatchNorm layers and thus extend the current best practices for obtaining reliable neural network explanations.

Objective: This study analyses and evaluates the key contributions and scale of development of robotics in healthcare through literature data mining. Methods: Literature search using Web of Science core databases, covering publications up to July 2024. visualization and analysis were performed with the help of CiteSpaces (6.3.R1), VOSviewer (1.6.20), and Bibliomentrix. Results: A total of 827 papers were included, published in 441 journals, involving 1,402 institutions in 97 countries and 3,436 authors. The number of papers in this field is on an upward trend, and the number of publications has increased rapidly in the past four years, accounting for 65.6% of the total. Human-Robot interaction, social robots, and the application of robots in the elderly are the research hotspots in this field. Conclusion: Robotics in healthcare is developing rapidly, with increasing interest from various countries and institutions, but close collaborative networks have not been formed and partnerships need to be strengthened. At the same time, some challenges need to be addressed to better promote the use of robotics. © 2024 ieee.

Modeling spatial dependency is crucial to solving traffic prediction tasks;thus, spatial-temporal graph-based models have been widely used in this area in recent years. Existing approaches either rely on a fixed pre-defined graph (e.g., a road network) or learn the correlations between locations. However, most methods suffer from spurious correlation and do not sufficiently consider the traffic's causal relationships. This study proposes a Spatiotemporal Causal Graph Inference (ST-CGI) framework for traffic prediction tasks that learn both the causal graph and autoregressive processes. We decouple the spatiotemporal traffic prediction process into two steps;the causal graph inference step and the autoregressive step, where the latter relies on the former. Optimizing the entire framework on the autoregressive task approximates the Granger causality test and thus enables excellent interpretability of the prediction. Extensive experimentation using two real-world datasets demonstrates the outstanding performance of the proposed models.

The information visualization research community commonly produces supporting software to demonstrate technical contributions to the field. However, developing this software tends to be an overwhelming task. The final product tends to be a research prototype without much thought for modularization and re-usability, which makes it harder to replicate and adopt. This paper presents a design pattern for facilitating the creation, dissemination, and re-utilization of visualization techniques using reactive widgets. The design pattern features basic concepts that leverage modern front-end development best practices and standards, which facilitate development and replication. In this paper, we present LUPA - a platform for large-scale analysis of the programming language usage. LUPA is a command line tool that uses the power of the IntelliJ Platform under the hood, which gives it access to powerful static analysis tools used in modern IDEs. The tool supports custom analyzers that process the rich concrete syntax tree of the code and can calculate its various features: the presence of entities, their dependencies, definition-usage chains, etc. Currently, LUPA supports analyzing Python and Kotlin, but can be extended to other languages supported by IntelliJ-based IDEs. We explain the internals of the tool, show how it can be extended and customized, and describe an example analysis that we carried out with its help: analyzing the syntax of ranges in Kotlin.
