Molecular Field-Coupled Nanocomputing (molFCN) is a highly low-power technology promising for digital electronics. It encodes information in the charge distribution of molecules and propagates it through electrostatic intermolecular interaction. Despite its potential, the molFCN technology suffers the absence of a functional design and simulation methodology. This paper provides a complete explanation of the characterization and modeling of molecules, from the molecular ab initio analysis to the design of molecular circuits and systems. Considering the diallyl-butane, we show how to use the ORCA package to derive, with DFT, the molecule geometry and charge distribution by correctly setting DFT functionals and basis sets. We study the molecule polarization when subjected to electric fields and enable the investigation of the interaction by exploiting the SCERPA tool. We set up the SCERPA simulation engine to simulate molecular circuits such as diallyl-butane wires. Finally, we show how to use literature results to model more complex molecules. We implement the bis-ferrocene cation in SCERPA and use it to create complex clocked logical devices. We simulate, as a means of explanation, a 0.0004 mu m(2) NAND gate.

The telecommunications sector has seen tremendous growth, particularly in wireless communication, driven by advancements in electronics, such as device miniaturization and circuit integration at micro and nano scales. Despite this progress, energy demand continues to rise, while innovations in energy storage lag behind, causing limitations in battery life and power supply for electronic devices. To mitigate these challenges, researchers are exploring wireless power transmission (WPT) for remote device *** paper presents the design and simulation of a Rectenna, a device for harvesting electromagnetic energy. The Rectenna comprises a receiving antenna that captures ambient RF energy and a conversion circuit that transforms it into DC power efficiently. The design, simulation, and performance evaluation of the Rectenna are detailed and analyzed.

Coexisting with others and interacting in society implies sharing knowledge and attention about world objects, events, features, episodes, and even imagination or abstract ideas in time and space. Inspired by human phenomenological, cognitive and behavioral research, this work focuses on the study of joint attention (JA) for human-robot interaction (HRI), based on two main assumptions: a) the perception and representation of attention jointness constitute an isomorphic relation, and b) inspiration on dynamic neural fields (DNF) theory is a promising way to investigate contextual and non-linear spatio-temporal relations underlying attention and knowledge sharing in HRI. Taking into account the previous considerations, we propose a topology-based model for JA named TOP-JAM, which is able to represent and track in real-time JA states, from observations of behavioral data. More importantly, the model consists in a representation that can be directly understood by human beings, which conforms to robo-ethical principles in social robotics. This study evaluates computational properties of the model in simulation. Through a real experiment with the robot Pepper, the study shows that TOP-JAM is able to track JA in a triad interaction scenario.

simulation in healthcare originates from risky intervention. This training method is nowadays essential and aims to help medical students master medical and surgical gestures. Also, it reduces and limits medical error frequency. Cardiac catheterization allows doctors to place a stent inside a blocked artery in order to hold it open and prevent it from blocking again. This technique remains both frequent and delicate. Therefore, the use of a simulator before practicing it on real patients will allow doctors to acquire good gestural techniques. From this perspective, this paper deals with the creation of a stenting simulator called "Sim-Heart Abulcasis". Therefore, it is a two-part project, the first one consists of reconstructing a heart volume based on CT scans and then printing it in PLA material. The second is modeling a stent using SolidWorks software and then printing it in resin material. Finally, both printed pieces were fused to create a simulator prototype.

This paper introduces a segmented channel modeling approach that not only expands the channel model to cover distances within 20 times the radius of the Sun in the deep-space segment but also utilizes a more comprehensive TDL model in the near-Earth segment. Furthermore, we utilize FPGA and software-defined radio (SDR) for the verification of the channel model. The FPGA implementation (50MHz) executes all channel modules by using hardware circuits and reduces channel computation time to only 6.1% compared to software simulations (8 cores, 3.2GHz), which significantly speeds up the computing. Moreover, the SDR implementation, which is built on the FPGA's computational foundation, incorporates RF hardware to achieve more realistic link simulations. The results from these hardware implementations closely align with theoretical predictions, affirming their utility for real-time simulation of deep space channels in laboratory conditions.
