Human activity recognition (HAR), as an essential component of many emerging smart applications, has attracted an increasing interest in recent years. Various radio-frequency (RF) sensing technologies, such as Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID), WiFi, and RF radar, have been utilized for developing non-invasive HAR systems. However, most of the RF based HAR solutions are closely designed for the specific, chosen RF technology, which incurs a significant barrier for the wide deployment of such systems. In this demo, we present a technology-agnostic approach for RF-based HAR, termed TARF, which aims to overcome such constraints and perform HAR with various RF sensing technologies.

Aiming at solving the problems of water quality detection of industrial circulating cooling water, a cloud platform based online monitoring system for industrial circulating cooling water was designed using multiple technologies such as sensors, embedded systems, and cloud platforms. The system design mainly involves selecting core detection parameters that can basically characterize the water quality of the circulating cooling water, collecting data through corresponding sensors, transmitting it to the microcontroller for processing, and then connecting to the cloud platform using the MQTT protocol through the ESP8266 wireless communication module to establish an online monitoring system. The system can achieve real-time display of data, historical records, abnormal alarms, data downloads, and other functions. It has the advantages of high parameter collection efficiency, real-time transmission, and intuitive remote monitoring images, and has high application value.

This paper introduces the Programmed Visual Content Comparison (PVCC) for collaborative programming learning. The PVCC is based on comparing two displayed visual objects produced by programming. This feature enables candidates to take the tests in a lighthearted and fun manner because they only judge "which is more difficult." The test based on the PVCC method works well to assess a candidate's programming abilities related to Panoramic Understanding of Programming (PUP). We conducted a collaborative learning experiment with students in a programming class using the PVCC method. This experiment method contains two phases of activity. First, each candidate answers a problem with the reason for the judge. In the second (collaborative phase), candidates discuss their answers and reasons in a group and then make the group answer with its explanation. The result from the experiment suggests a potential that collaborative learning facilitated by the PVCC method is beneficial for students in programming education by improving understanding and problem-solving skills in programming.

With the growing demand for industrial automation, the application of high-performance parallel robot systems in complex operations has become increasingly important. However, these systems are often affected by unknown environmental disturbances and modeling uncertainties, making precise control a significant challenge. This paper proposes an adaptive super-helical integral terminal sliding mode control strategy to address the trajectory tracking problem of parallel robots in the face of complex disturbances. First, the dynamics model of the parallel robot is detailed, and a novel controller is designed based on this model. The control strategy integrates the approach law method, the super-helical algorithm, and the integral terminal sliding mode technique to enhance the system's robustness and dynamic response speed. Simulation experiment results demonstrate that the proposed control strategy exhibits significant advantages in resisting disturbances and suppressing system vibrations compared to traditional PID control and fuzzy sliding mode control. The controller design in this study not only improves trajectory tracking accuracy but also demonstrates its potential value in practical industrial applications.
