In response to the challenges of high parameter count, computational complexity, and long inference time in current human pose estimation network models, we have combined the characteristics of self-attention mechanism, convolutional networks, and channel attention to propose a hybrid attention module called CSA-Block. This module allows for flexible selection of different attention mechanisms based on the depth and width of the network. By doing so, we not only ensure the detection performance of the network but also reduce the computational cost and improve the inference speed. Furthermore, based on the CSA-Block module, we have designed a multi-resolution and multi-branch architecture and applied it to pose estimation tasks. Our experiments on the MSCOCO and MPII datasets demonstrate that under the condition of minimal sacrifice in accuracy, our approach significantly reduces the parameter count of the network while greatly accelerating the inference time. © 2024 ieee.

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) is utilized as front-end communication systems in home automation, environment monitoring, industry, Internet of Things (IoT), etc. The extension of the lifetime of WSNs enhances the utilization of various applications and systems to communicate and interact efficiently. However, cluster heads (CHs) and relay nodes face the difficulties of energy balancing, nodes having limited capability for storage systems, communication, resource management and computational power which further results in corrupted nodes and data becoming vulnerable to improper access. The optimization algorithms namely Ant Colony Optimization (ACO), Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), and Butterfly Optimization Mechanism (BOM), and Fuzzy Logic (FL)-based techniques are used for reduce the delay in CH selection and routing protocols. This research aims to research the strengths, relationships, and challenges of delay-aware clustering and routing for WSN-based approaches, thereby minimizing the EC and increasing network lifetime. © 2024 ieee.

Predictive maintenance: A game changer in infrastructure and vehicle management, and able to cut maintenance expenses and downtime of smart transportation systems. This study explores ways in which smart transportation systems might use AI in order to plan maintenance schedules and forecast equipment breakdowns. Predictive algorithms, that can detect potential problems before raising to expensive repair or system breakdown, use real time sensor data from infrastructure and vehicles. Decision trees and neural networks are two of these models. By allowing AI driven solutions, transportation systems may transition from a reactive to a proactive maintenance practice which may support efficiency, safety, and reliability. Unsupervised learning methods are used to do anomaly detection for real time operations, and we examine the patterns in previous maintenance data with supervised learning approaches. The use of AI for predictive maintenance is also being studied for use in smart cities, where transportation networks are becoming more interconnected by IoT. The paper also considers challenges on data integration as well as the importance of scaling the algorithms and guaranteeing cybersecurity in these systems. Based on our research, smart transportation systems could benefit from AI to increase operational efficiency, reduce the cost of material and labor to maintain and repair equipment systems, and decrease the rate of disruptions. © 2025 ieee.

Graph theory has found its rigorous applicability in defining the social network phenomenas. Influence maximization in real world graphical networks have been an area of keen interest to researcher. Determining the initial seed set population for an influence spread model is found to be an N-P complete problem. Many optimization and heuristic algorithms have been proposed to solve the problem in the past. However, all the proposed solutions are constrained in terms of the scalability, their correctness etc. In this article, a graph theoretical approach based metric has been defined to effectively identify the initial seed set population for the network. The seed nodes are selected based on their clustering coefficient and betweenness centrality scores on a ranking basis. The top 'k' ranked nodes are selected as seed nodes (information carriers) in the network. Using Independent Cascade (IC) diffusion model, the network coverage is calculated. The proposed method attains higher network coverage in comparison to the base IC model. Also, the method's performance is compared and found to be superior when the seed nodes are selected based on other centrality measures and graph measures. The results have been evaluated over four different benchmark networks- CORA, Citeseer, PubMed (Citation Networks) and Amazon computers Network (Product Network). © 2023 ieee.

Monitoring sugar concentration during fermentation is crucial for producing high-quality alcoholic beverages. Traditional methods for measuring sugar concentration can be costly and time-consuming, especially for small-scale producers. In this study, we developed a low-cost buoyant force measurement device for monitoring sugar concentration in water solutions. The device consists of a buoyant object fully submerged in the solution and connected to a load-cell sensor. As the sugar concentration in the liquid increases, the buoyant force on the object increases, and the load-cell measures this force. Proposed device is calibrated using solutions of known sugar concentrations and its high accuracy and precision is presented. The device is tested in controlled environment to ensure accurate tracking changes in sugar concentration over time. Proposed device can be a valuable tool for small-scale producers looking to optimize their fermentation processes while minimizing costs. © 2023 ieee.

Ayurveda, a system of complementary medicine that has been used for centuries in India, aids in the early treatment of illnesses. Ayurvedic practitioners hold that space, air, fire, water, and earth are the five fundamental components that make up the universe. Three life forces or energies known as doshas are created when these unite in the human body. It manages how a body functions. They are the Pitta (fire and water), Vata (space and air), and Kapha doshas (water and earth). One can identify the dosha using an online programme and can also recommend foods to balance it. The physiological (physical traits, looks, and digestion) and psychological factors will be considered by the application to identify the dosha imbalance. © 2023 ieee.

This research examines the feasibility of using LSTM networks for financial prediction in frameworks such as the ERP system with an objective of enhancing budgetary prediction. Simple forecasting techniques do not take into account certain dynamics within the data that are non-linear, hence result in small forecast accuracy. Autoencoders can be employed to extract such features and LSTM networks capable of handling sequential data and long term dependencies could be used to anticipate the occurrence of emergencies. The process includes data culling that is composed of extensive datasets, data pre-processing, LSTM model development and training, and ERP system implementation. The findings illustrate that by extending the number of timesteps in LSTM models, it offers more reliability compared to conventional methods that help to improve decision-making and forecasting in finance. It is possible to upgrade them from time to time and make the models as accurate and as current as possible. These specific findings corroborate the overall proposition that discrete advancements in ML algorithms can converge to radically reshape a key area of ERP systems - financial forecasting. © 2024 ieee.

Cybercriminals design false webpages in an attempt to trick people into disclosing private information, such as passwords and credit card numbers. Strong cybersecurity measures are desperately needed, as phishing attacks are becoming more and more sophisticated. To improve cybersecurity, this study investigates the use of genetic algorithms for phishing website detection. We have used three real-world phishing website datasets to implement our work. Additionally, a thorough methodology that includes feature selection, data preprocessing, and the iterative process of the genetic algorithm is employed. This work proposes a hybrid-based method for phishing identification based on the website's URL that combines genetic and machine learning methods. The algorithm's effectiveness is demonstrated by the results, which also show its adaptability, relative advantages over conventional methods, and promising generalizability. By shedding light on the useful applications of genetic algorithms for phishing detection, the study advances the field of cybersecurity. The final model proposed in this work has a 99.99% accuracy rate on the test set. © 2024 ieee.

The industrial operation of oxy-fuel metal cutting via gas torches involves tasks such as ignition, preheating, and combustion along the target surface. Automated oxy-fuel cutting systems are exposed to risks and anomalies that can lead to incorrect actions and safety hazards. In this paper, we develop a classifier for online task state estimation to assess the cutting robot's actions, detect anomalies, and reduce the risk of hazards. Using representative footage from our robotic cutting experiments, we curate an image dataset labeled with four types of cutting task states. Using deep learning methods, we design and train a convolutional neural network model for classifying the cutting task state from input images. The classifier architecture is optimized for rapid inferences during online estimation. After evaluation, our classifier achieves an overall accuracy of 93.8 % with high inference speeds on two types of representative hardware. Liver segmentation is crucial for computer-assisted diagnosis and preoperative planning in hepatology. The scarcity of annotated medical datasets and segmentation architectures tailored for liver imaging, presents significant challenges. Inaccurate segmentation can severely impact the diagnosis of intrahepatic lesions and preoperative planning. Current state-of-the-art methods struggle with segmenting challenging liver regions, such as the hepatic apex, portal vein, base, and caudate lobe. To address this, we introduce LiverSegNeXt, an advanced technique based on the MedNeXt framework. LiverSegNeXt incorporates novel approaches, including the inception and ConvNeXt architecture. Additionally, the performance of existing methods is still limited by insufficient feature extraction. We propose a coarse training and fine-tuning approach, as well as an absolute position embedding approach, to leverage the consistent spatial positioning of the liver in CT scans. We evaluated LiverSegNeXt on our in-house dataset. Our method outperforms existing models and found that it surpasses other existing methods, improving the Dice coefficient by 0.21% compared to other approaches. © 2024 ieee.
