Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental condition. Globally, more than 366 million individuals are diagnosed with ADHD. ADHD is a chronic condition and has no known cure. However, treatments do exist in the form of behavior therapy and medication. Currently, management of ADHD symptoms during treatment is done through standardized questionnaire assessments. While valuable, these assessments are subjective. Researchers have proposed using computer-based games for objective monitoring of ADHD symptoms. In this work, we present MindGame, a puzzle game designed to monitor ADHD symptoms using computer mouse movement. To evaluate the feasibility of this application, we conducted an in-home study (N=4;2 Neurotypical and 2 ADHD) participants who were asked to play the game 8-10 times in one- week at-home. computer mouse data from 128 individual puzzle levels were analyzed. The game has three levels built-in with increasing level of difficulty. A significant difference (p-value=0.01786) between ADHD and Neurotypical participants in the Euclidean distance of the mouse cursor movement. All participants completed the study at-home 8-10 times except for P2 who was found dropped out of the study due to personal reasons.

Biomimicry is a field of study that involves imitating the designs and processes of nature to solve problems using manmade systems. Biomimicry offers an empathetic, interconnected understanding of how life works and where we fit in. In bio-inspired designs, the main challenge is to develop a sustainable and effective framework that can be used in the real world. Most of the soft robotic designs are state-of-the-art models that cannot be used in real sensing applications. In this research, we propose a sustainable sensor-integrated modular soft robot model that can be used for locomotion and gripping applications. This work presents the steps involved in modeling, designing, and fabricating soft and flexible end effectors that can be used for soft robots with integrated soft stretchable sensors. It also demonstrates the design methodology involved in modeling and simulating the proposed model for robots that would require effectors with increased functionalities. © 2023 ieee.

In today's fast-paced corporate environment, the integration of robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) in business management offers a revolutionary catalyst. This empirical study examines the complex interrelationship between artificial intelligence and machine learning and the way it might change how companies run. Robotics, which has historically been linked to physical automation, combines with AI's cognitive powers to create machines that are capable of autonomously perceiving, thinking, learning, as well as performing tasks. Benefits of the fusion include cost savings, better decision-making, increased customer service, and safety improvements. However, it also presents difficulties, which include cybersecurity concerns, ethical dilemmas, and obstacles to technology integration. Redefining decision-making from reactive to proactive, the integration of robotics and AI enables businesses to predict trends and quickly adjust. A lot has changed in the manufacturing, transportation, health care, and finance sectors, but there are countless applications for this fusion, which includes retail and agriculture. Businesses must acknowledge this fusion of technology and ethics as a necessary component of the ever-evolving business landscape in order to stay competitive. © 2023 ieee.

The large-scale, high-dimensionality of datasets poses major obstacles to effective and precise data clustering in the field of big data analytics. This work focuses on a well-known technique for dividing huge datasets into informative clusters: the K-Means algorithm. This approach to data clustering is efficient. However, because of scalability and computational complexity problems, K-Means is not as effective when managing large amounts of data. In order to reduce processing cost and improve clustering accuracy, this work provides an improved version of the K-Means algorithm that blends dimensionality reduction approaches and efficient initialization methods. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is used as a preprocessing step in the methodology to reduce the dimensionality of huge datasets. An optimized K-Means algorithm with improved centroid initialization is then applied. These changes lead to shorter iteration durations and higher-quality clusters. Comparing the results to standard K-Means, experiments on many big data benchmarks showed a 15% gain in cluster accuracy and a 25% reduction in execution time. To sum up, the incorporation of optimized initialization techniques and dimensionality reduction greatly improves the scalability and performance of K-Means in big data analytics, with useful implications for sectors that depend on effective data analysis. © 2025 ieee.

With an emphasis on user-centred design, this study examines the potential and difficulties of enhancing web accessi-bility for those with impairments. The paper reviews the existing literature on web accessibility and user-centered design and presents an analysis of a group of websites where user-centered design principles can be incorporated to improve accessibility for the people with cognitive impairments and visually impaired. The case study indicates that user-centered design can significantly improve web accessibility, by providing interfaces and content that are tailored to the needs and preferences of users with disabilities. The research paper concludes with requirement of more holistic and inclusive approach to web design which will make the web pages for all users, including those specially-ablaed. The findings of this research have practical implications for designers, developers and stakeholders who are working to make the internet accessible to all and contribute to the growing knowledge on web accessibility. © 2025 ieee.

In recent times, there has been considerable attention directed towards Facial Expression Recognition (FER) due to its extensive utility across diverse domains. However, the universality of facial expressions has been challenged by studies suggesting that cultural backgrounds significantly influence the perception and recognition of emotions. This paper addresses the need for culturally specific datasets in FER tasks, particularly in underrepresented regions like Indonesia. The study introduces dynamic images as an alternative input representation for facial expression recognition tasks, aiming to assess their efficacy using the Indonesian Mixed Emotions Dataset (IMED). Through experimentation using EfficientNet model, the performance of dynamic images is compared with static image and video inputs. Results indicate that dynamic images exhibit promising performance, with an accuracy of 94.28%. These results outperform static image datasets and nearly match the performance of video-based models, which achieved an accuracy of 97.93 %, despite using fewer data. Nonetheless, challenges such as data imbalance and the quality of generated dynamic images persist, suggesting avenues for further research and model refinement. This study provides valuable insights into methodological advancements in FER, particularly in limited dataset conditions, laying the groundwork for future developments in dynamic image-based facial expression recognition algorithms. © 2024 ieee.

Ensuring the availability of clean water is crucial for sustaining life and enhancing public health. Accurate prediction of water quality parameters is vital for proactive water resource management and pollution control. We examine a broad range of water quality indicators, such as pH, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, and nutrient levels, across various regions. In this study, we employ bagging classifiers, a popular machine learning technique, to enhance the accuracy and reliability of our models. We anticipate achieving 76% accuracy with these classifiers. By utilizing different learning methods, including ensemble learning techniques like Bagging Classifiers, our research aims to improve water quality assessment. This work offers valuable insights for better environmental management and ensuring access to clean water for everyone. © 2024 ieee.

The rapid proliferation of Internet of Things (IoT) devices has ushered in unprecedented levels of connectivity, offering enhanced automation and data sharing across diverse domains. However, this surge in interconnectivity has brought about a significant challenge regarding cyber security threats and intrusions. To overcome this problem, we propose a Hybrid Bayesian Tree Fusion (HBTF) for predicting the detection system. These systems leverage the capabilities of Artificial Intelligence to predict and proactively mitigate potential security breaches. We gather the NSL-KDD data set for evaluating the proposed method for forecasting intrusion detection. The collected data are preprocessed using Z score normalization to eliminate the noise. Extract the feature from the preprocessed data using kernel-based independent component analysis (KICA). The experimental findings of the proposed method are evaluated by recall, precision, f1-score, and accuracy from the result. The HBTF is greater than the existing method. The integration of AI augments the capability of IoT networks to counter emerging threats, ultimately fostering a safer and more secure interconnected world. © 2024 ieee.

Since optical wireless communication (OWC) can provide secure, affordable access solutions for wireless transmission while also relieving pressure on the extremely congested radio-frequency spectrum, it has become a substitute technology to radio communication. For the beyond 5G networks, hybrid OWC-multimode fiber (MMF) link is proposed to raise the time/frequency resource utilization. A 4×10Gbps OWC system employing linear MMF is modeled. Results depict that faithful MMF range of 400m is obtained with fixed 10km OWC range. Also, faithful OWC range of 90km is obtained with 100-200m fixed MMF range. A comparative performance indicates the superiority of the model w.r.t. existing ones. © 2024 ieee.
