Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), also known as drones, are receiving increasing attention as enablers for many emerging technologies and applications, a trend likely to continue in the next future. In this regard, using Unmanned Aerial Base Stations (UABSs), i.e. base stations carried by UAVs, is one of the most promising means to offer coverage and capacity in 5G applications to those users that are not being served by terrestrial base stations. In this paper, we propose a novel approach for trajectory design and Radio Resource Management (RRM) in UAV-aided networks using information retrieved from precise Radio Environmental Map (REM) based on Ray Launching (RL) simulations for RF propagation and narrow band estimations. Furthermore, we consider different possible models for antennas to be installed on multiple UABSs as well as proper RRM strategies which are able to take advantage of REM inputs. Simulation results will show the performance achieved by the system for the different approaches and it will compare them with the previous use of statistical models.

Network analyzer is the main instrument to measure SAW (surafce acoustic wave) devices. Many research workers are familiar with the results coming from network analyzer. From this kind of results we can easily analyze the devices and select which meets the requirement of the design. In this paper, a way was proposed to simulate SAW devices using VHDL-AMS to get results similar to those measured by network analyzer. This way made it easy to design SAW devices by computer. Only changing some parameters, you can get the results before a SAW device is manufactured. It is also extendible for the system level computer-aided simulation containing SAW. As a example, we used three models of SAW devices to simulate a saw filter on ST-X quartz. These three models are crossed-field model, modified crossed-field model and network model. The software using to simulation is ADVance MS(Mentor graphics). In order to conquer the shortage of the VHDL-AMS, Foster's reactance theorem was used. The results were compared with the results measured by network analyzer. It shows that the simulation of network model is closer to that of measurement, in which the parameters were calculate by FEM.

Such dimensions can require structuring requirements according to the dynamics of the development process and/or according to static aspects related to the composition and presentation of requirements to developers and clients. Several dimensions are illustrated and a particular focus is given to the abstraction dimension. Existing methods that allow the design and the documentation of structured requirements and specifications are discussed. An approach based on requirements structuring according to the abstraction dimension to facilitate reuse of requirement specifications is presented.

The Studio Model is one of the more popular approaches to achieve student centered learning. A studio course integrates theory with demonstrations and underscores the importance of collaborative and active learning on the part of students. While the student plays a more active role and participates in a number of face-to-face and computer assisted learning activities, the instructor assumes the role of facilitator of learning rather than a presenter of knowledge. Several studies have been carried out to establish the effectiveness of the studio approach. In this paper, we review the current international practices of studio classroom as means of achieving student centered learning;and share our initial experience of partially applying Technology Enhanced Active Learning (TEAL) approach to an undergraduate software engineering course. We also present some recommendations to design and implement studio courses at universities who plan to adopt studio courses as part of blended learning approaches.

Certain anatomical landmarks must be located on this shape to identify optimal areas for load and pressure relief A method of locating the midpoint of the patellar tendon, the distal end of the tibia and the head of the fibula is presented. The method involves training ensembles of neural networks on shapes for which the markers have been located manually;the neural networks are then used to find the landmarks for arbitrary shapes. Experimental results show that the method is at least as accurate as a trained prosthetist.

A conditional resource-sharing algorithm for pipeline synthesis is presented. It allows sharing of hardware components among the mutually exclusive parts of any conditional branches appearing in a behavioral description. If done improperly, resource sharing in a conditional branch can increase its critical path delay excessively, causing performance degradation. Given area/time constraints for a pipelined design, finding an optimal conditional sharing solution is a combinatorial optimization problem. The algorithm uses heuristics with a user-defined weight that trades off area versus time;the algorithm is either manually or automatically iterated by changing the weight until a solution close to the target is obtained or is determined to be impossible to obtain. The algorithm is interactive, so designers can manually determine partial or whole sharing.

The authors address the development of reasoning mechanism in order to link design and its associated downstream manufacturing requirements. A specific example is presented using the design of aircraft flap components through a computer-based or CAD system which also represents a framework for solving design problems in other domains.
