VirtualizeMe introduces a new design for a fully immersive TeleImmersion system for remote collaboration and virtual world interaction. This system introduces a new avatar creation approach fullfilling four main attributes: high resolution, scalability, flexibility and affordability. This is achieved by a total separation of reconstruction and rendering and exploiting the capabilities of modern graphic cards. The high resolution is achieved by using as much of the input information as possible through lossless compression of the input data and introducing a focused volumetric visual hull reconstruction. The resulting avatar allows eye-to-eye collaboration for remote users. The interaction with the virtual world is facilitated by the volumetric avatar model and allows a fully immersive system. This paper shows a proof of concept based on publicly available pre-recorded data to allow easier comparison.

A low-cost Raster Engine (RE) is designed and implemented to improve the performance of 3D computergraphics and image composition application for video games, multimedia PCs and interactive TVs. Three operation modes: Gouraud and Phong shading algorithms, and image composition are incorporated in this chip. Modified digital differential analyzer (DDA), 2-level pipeline, and constant execution time for calculating cosn θ are proposed as the features of this design. The accelerator is implemented by 0.8um SPDM CMOS VLSI technology and able to release more then 50% CPU loads.

This paper describes CAL (computeraided Learning) tool to help the understanding a logic synthesis flow based on a data structure called ORBDDs. This synthesis flow allows to work over an input logic description and to observe the consequent transformations that occur in each step of the synthesis. Graph theory has been demonstrated by many researchers to be useful during the conceptual phase of mechanism design. In this regard it has been put to use by many works for systematically synthesizing varieties of epicyclic gear trains (EGTs) of one degree of freedom. This paper makes use of the solutions derived using graph theory and introduces a procedure for identifying the constituent links corresponding to the chosen EGT graph concept so that it can be realized into a 3-D CAD model. It is seen that certain EGT graphs do not lead to meaningful 3-D representation. Conditions for a graph to result in a meaningful EGT structure are also derived in the process.

In this paper a hypergraph transformation model is used for distribution and adaptation in computeraideddesign. The application of the theoretical results ina graph distribution toolkit proposed as a multi-agent framework is also considered. To assure the efficiency of the system it should be implemented as a parallel multiagent system. The hypergraph distribution and partial replication, allowing for the parts of a hypergraph to be managed by agents, is also presented. Different structures of rotary speed observers are analysed. Particularly, simple differential observer, integral observer, integral observer with proportional feedback correction and integral observer with differential feedback correction are considered. To improve performance of the observer it is suggested to include in feedback path a differential block and a first order filter. The designed rotary speed observer is used for angle tracking of telescope electric drive.
