Natural Language Generation (NLG) acts as a bridge between input data and human communication. NLG systems are meant to generate human-understandable output making it a useful technique mainly in report generation, automatic replies to queries like Chatbots, and other domains that involve Natural Language Processing (NLP). NLG continues to evolve;embracing the latest trends like neural networks, large language models, personalized features, cognitive architectures, and emotional intelligence, but it still faces some challenges with its implementations and operations for cohesive integration. Therefore, this survey presents a brief introduction to some of the latest trends and challenges faced by NLG which are playing a dynamic role in shaping the evolution of NLG. © 2024 ieee.

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into wireless communications is growing rapidly. This growth is primarily driven by machine learning (ML) techniques, which can be broadly categorized into supervised learning, unsupervised learning, and reinforcement learning. Today, AI-based paradigms are transforming the field of wireless communications by enhancing various aspects, from the rapid design and optimization of components and devices to the robust analysis and characterization of entire systems and networks. This includes advanced systems such as present-day fifth-generation mobile (5G) and the upcoming sixth-generation mobile (6G) systems and networks. AI techniques also offer promising solutions to numerous design and development challenges in modern wireless communications. These challenges encompass enhancing power and energy effi-ciency, meeting stringent performance criteria, and improving the overall reliability of wireless communication devices, systems, and networks. This paper provides an overview of current paradigms demonstrating the application of AI, particularly ML techniques, in wireless communications. © 2024 ieee.

With the rise of smart buildings, new expertise gaps and security vulnerabilities are emerging, necessitating a comprehensive understanding of their current state and proactive future planning to address these challenges. Such identification is crucial for mapping the pathway towards vocational modernization (keeping up with trends and goal alignment). To assess these gaps, this paper explores the extensive literature that draws on workshops, expert interviews, and research to identify emerging roles and training needs across seven countries: Greece, Spain, Portugal, Italy, North Macedonia, Germany, and the Netherlands. In particular, it examines the validity of its findings in critical areas such as security, privacy, and the integration of smart grids with energy markets. Additionally, the paper highlights future skills gaps emerging from advancements in IoT, automation, and renewable energy technologies. It emphasizes the growing demand for specialized electrical expertise to optimize energy production, integrate monitoring and storage systems, and manage electric vehicle charging and energy communities effectively. In conclusion, the study identifies critical gaps in expertise and training needed to keep up with the rapid evolution of smart building technologies. Emerging trends highlight the demand for interdisciplinary skills, particularly in IoT, automation, and renewable energy. As these fields advance, expertise in cybersecurity, energy management, and smart grid integration will be crucial, emphasizing the need for proactive workforce development and planning. The findings can be used to inform and direct policymakers towards the smooth reexamination of vocational training. © 2024 ieee.

The main methods and principles of building infrastructure as a code in Cloud, microservice architecture are considered. An algorithm of dynamic data processing in the edge location is proposed to improve quality of service. A simulation modelling of the dynamic application microservice creating, which works based on developed algorithm in the content delivery network (CDN) was performed. Based on the obtained simulation results, graphical dependencies of the efficiency of using dynamic data processing in the edge location depending on the load and the number of requests from clients are presented. The results confirm the effectiveness of using dynamic data processing in the edge locations when the number of requests increases, at the same time keeping the delay time within satisfactory limits. © 2024 ieee.

The air quality in indoor spaces is becoming a crucial concern due to the rising levels of pollutants. This issue becomes particularly urgent in industrial scenarios where various sources of gases and chemicals are present. Especially, with the advent of Industry 5.0, factories, industrial plants, and other industrial environments are becoming highly dynamic and pose challenges in monitoring the indoor air quality. Hence, the traditional deployment of fixed air quality monitoring sensors would not be effective in industry 5.0 scenarios. In light of these challenges, this paper presents a novel air quality monitoring system integrated with edge computing. The edge computer manages the layout of the industrial space and has the over-all understanding of the current operational settings. The air quality monitoring units will connect with the edge computer via a WLAN network, enabling the edge computer to build a real-time, digital representation of the factory. Moreover, the paper proposes a localization algorithm to precisely identify air pollution incidents such as gas leakages using the air quality monitoring units. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed architecture, combined with the localization algorithm, can accurately pinpoint sources of air pollution. © 2024 ieee.

This research is focused on developing drug discovery and telemedicine through advanced Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationship (QSAR) analysis. The performance of state-of-the-art machine learning (ML) algorithms like Random Forest (RF), DNN-QSAR, Support Vector Machine (SVM), was evaluated and the potential of Chemoinformatic based feature selection methods were explored for increasing the accuracy of developed QSAR models. However, not much innovation has been proposed in managing large chemical data and developing highly generalizable and more accurate QSAR models specific to telemedicine with low computational cost. Therefore, to fill this gap, we intended to use cloud computing (CC) as a downscale solution to host large chemical data and develop highly generalizable QSAR models that are more appropriate for telemedicine. This new way integrating cloud with QSAR for telemedicine is compatible with the world of current scientific research in pharmaceutical industries in which constant evolution and updating is a routine process. In addition to all these features integration of cloud also overcomes several inherited limitations of being non-performing with respect to speed up/QSAR analysis time or limited number or size chemicals database limitation that are used only in academic research studies. © 2024 ieee.

The inter-connectivity of critical aviation operations are the prime targets for Advance Persistent Threats (APTs) and others malicious actors due to increasingly relying on the Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS). This paper examines the current cyber resilience of aviation CPS to such cyber threats, emerging trends, and proposing new and effective resilience strategies. Using a multi-pronged approach, data were collected through survey from the aviation professionals in the state of Qatar. Quantitative analysis was conducted on survey data to assess trends in threat perception and resilience measures, while qualitative analysis of interviews provided in-depth insights into current vulnerabilities and effective mitigation strategies show that outdated software, insufficient access controls, and complex supply chains increase the risk to advanced persistent threats (APTs) and other sophisticated attacks. Our findings can assist the industry leaders, policymakers, and cybersecurity professionals to get valuable insights to safeguard the aviation ecosystem against the growing cyber threats. © 2024 ieee.

Simulation technology is an important means of operating mechanistic analysis in the power system. Under the background of new power system, the disk Input/Output (I/O) between traditional simulation engines and operational analysis businesses has become a performance bottleneck in simulation analysis. To address this issue, some researchers have attempted to introduce in-memory computing (IMC) into the power system simulation. In this paper, the current application results of IMC in power system simulation is summarized, and the current research ideas is extracted. Further, the unique challenges and development trends faced by IMC in the field of the power system simulation is analyzed, providing a reference for future research directions.

Among all electrified transportation instruments, electric vehicles (EVs) garnered high mark lately and are becoming increasingly popular trends because they can both vie with and surpass vehicles powered by fossil fuel. Enhancing range of vehicle driving and minimizing energy utilization are the main goals of EV advancement. These are necessary goals that can only be met by enhancing and advancing motor performance. With the peak power density and capabilities compared with other motors, brushless direct current (BLDC) motor is best option for electric vehicles (EVs). In addition to their excellent performance in position and speed controls, BLDCs are becoming more and more common in EVs because they can smoothly maintain torque and reduce torque ripple. An overview of several advanced control strategies is given in this study, it also discusses the different fault that occur in BLDC motors and their mitigation strategies. In addition, current issues and challenges in developing torque ripple mitigation management systems are discussed, along with comparisons and recommendations for further research on electric vehicle technology. Lastly, the importance and possible consequences of BLDC motor drive in EVs with various control schemes are revealed via evaluation research. © 2025 ieee.

By decentralising data processing and analysis, edge computing has become a significant paradigm for health monitoring systems. Edge computing allows real-time processing of health data, improving efficiency, scalability, and privacy by bringing computational resources closer to the source of data generation. This review paper offers a thorough analysis of edge computing-based health monitoring systems, covering their introduction, architecture, prospective security issues, and future scope. In addition to the security and access control measures implemented to protect sensitive medical data, we look at how these systems make use of a broad range of edge devices, sensors, and gateways. The potential of edge computing to transform healthcare delivery and enhance patient outcomes is highlighted in this paper through an analysis of current research trends and advancements. © 2024 ieee.
