cyber-Physical systems (CPSs) are the complicated formulation of cyber and physical equipment that effectively utilizing the capabilities of sensors, actuators, networks, and communication systems. The system is vulnerable to various cyber-attacks in the smart grid that are active and passive attacks, DoS attacks, data injection attacks, replay attacks, etc., With the exponential growth of communication and electronic devices, it is a large and complex task to manage these devices from vulnerabilities. However, cyber-attacks on CPS can cause severe harm to the resources, network infrastructure, and communication channels with the key objectives of confidentiality, integrity, and authentication. This paper considers the design of detecting cyber-attacks during transmission from control center to plant over the networked control center and preventing cyber-attacks with the help of a genetic algorithm and deep feedforward neural networks. This method ensures the security of networked control center in CPS environment of smart grid. This also mitigates the drawbacks of existing attack detection techniques. The performance is evaluated in benchmarking ieee 39 bus system for achieving the accuracy, performance metrics, and low false positive rate to improve the attack detection in a smart grid environment in cyberspace. © 2023 ieee.

Industrial control systems (ICS) are important to supporting US critical infrastructure and maintaining national security. ICS owners and operators continue to face threats from a variety of adversaries whose intentions include gathering intelligence, stealing intellectual property, obtaining financial compensation through ransom, and disrupting national critical infrastructures. The ICS discussed do not just include control systems but often include electrical assets (microprocessorbased relays, trip units, etc.) which have been networked together using various communication protocols. Previous ieee PCIC papers have mentioned cybersecurity without providing details on howto secure an ICS. This paper describes the issues that ICS owners and operators face and introduces the international Society of automation (ISA)/lnternational Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 62443 [1-10] series of standards as the basis for an effective cybersecurity program. These standards have been developed by the ISA99 committee of the international Society of automation and IEC Technical Committee 65 Working Group 10.

In the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) environment, nodes in intelligent Transportation System (ITS) face serious cyber security problems. Malicious information generated by cyber attacks can spread through the IoV communication networks in the transportation system, thereby causing serious security problems. Firstly, we analyze the cyber security risks faced by IOVs, including Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAVs) cyber security risks and IoV communications cyber security risks. Secondly, we review the research on the propagation and control of malicious information in IoV communication networks. Finally, we have raised several issues that remain to be resolved. © 2023 ieee.

With the evolution of information and communication technology, the shipping industry, responsible for the highest volume of international trade in goods, has experienced significant advantages in terms of cost-effectiveness and the safety of ship operations. However, the implementation of a network with an open interface has compromised network and system security, leading to heightened vulnerability to external cyber-attacks. This survey analyzes the security research trends at four stages of Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS) and provides an overview of state-of-the-art strategies for enhancing security at the final Level 4, based on key achievements and limitations. In particular, we examine the major research and development efforts for MASS Levels 2 and 3, which include remote control functionalities, emphasizing the importance of security research in the areas of remote control, unmanned ships, and international agreements. The study then focuses on the key achievements and limitations within these three areas. Additionally, we propose seven research areas necessary for the final Level 4 and highlight the importance of developing security architectures that consider maritime stakeholders and foster international consensus. Finally, this study aims to present the current research limitations and future directions to guide researchers interested in contributing to the field of autonomous ship security.

The healthcare industry is increasingly vulnerable to cyberattacks, particularly Denial of Service (DoS) attacks, because of the heavy use of digital technology in this field. Serious and far-reaching consequences may result from these attacks disrupting healthcare services. In this study, it can be seen how well machine learning (ML) algorithms can detect healthcare DoS threats. With the use of Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost), Gradient Boosting Machine (GBM), Light Gradient Boosting Machine (LightGBM) and Random Forest (RF), these attacks can be identified and eradicated these threats. The technique collects data on the network traffic of healthcare systems, and then extracts and selects features from that data to identify important signals of DoS attacks. The performance of each model is evaluated using precision, accuracy, recall, and F1-score. Due to their speed and excellent detection accuracy, XGBoost and RF are the ideal models for healthcare security infrastructures, according to the results. This study emphasizes the importance of new ML methods in enhancing healthcare systems' resilience to cyber attacks and ensuring the safety and maintenance of critical healthcare services.

The rapid evolution of the Internet of Things (IoT) has brought about significant advancements, particularly in connecting various electronic devices. This is especially relevant in Indonesia, a nation known for its tech-savvy population. Despite the increasing interest in Smart Home technology, there's still a lack of understanding regarding how security concerns shape user trust and decisions to adopt this technology. In this study, a quantitative approach was employed, surveying 100 respondents to explore the influence of five key factors: perceived automation, controllability, interconnectedness, reliability, and cost. The findings revealed that perceived automation, interconnectedness, reliability, and cost had a considerable impact on the adoption of Smart Home technology, whereas controllability did not. This suggests that users prioritize convenience, seamless integration of devices, and system reliability over manual control, emphasizing the need to enhance these features in Smart Home systems. © 2024 ieee.

This paper focuses on the bounded tracking control of general linear multi-agent systems(MASs), considering the effects of inevitable communication time-delays, measurement noises, and uncertain disturbances in practical applications. Firstly, the bounded tracking control problem of uncertain MASs under multiplicative noises is transformed into the boundedness problem of stochastic differential delay equations. Then, the upper bound of agent tracking is calculated by means of linear variation, variation of constants formula and stochastic analysis theory, and sufficient conditions are given for the system to achieve the bounded tracking control.

This paper introduces a novel approach to smart industry automation by integrating Internet of Things (IoT) technology with Visible Light Communication (VLC) and Node MCU microcontrollers. The system architecture comprises a transmitter and a receiver section, enabling seamless control and monitoring of industrial appliances. The transmitter features a user-friendly interface with an LCD display, while the receiver employs Node MCU microcontrollers and relay modules to control various industry loads. This integration presents a promising avenue for advancing smart industry automation, offering unparalleled convenience, efficiency, and connectivity. In recent years, with increasing global investment in Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV) research, there has been rapid development in the technology of small police USVs. However, there are still some delays in the design of rapid deployment for small police USVs. Traditional deployment methods, such as tower crane and swing arm types, are complex in operation, slow in deployment speed, and have limited safety and wave resistance. This paper proposes a design scheme for a rapid deployment control system for small police USVs, using a Programmable Logic controller (PLC) as the control core. The system integrates slide rail modules, hydraulic modules, and laser rangefinder modules to achieve rapid deployment functionality. Simulation experiments validate the feasibility of this new rapid deployment system scheme and demonstrate that it improves deployment efficiency while simultaneously enhancing safety and wave resistance capabilities. © 2024 ieee.

This paper proposes a new method to solve the optimal consensus control of discrete-time nonlinear multi-agent systems (MASs) under switching topology. To get a time-invariant control object for the switching MASs, a new augment local neighborhood tracking error is defined. Then the hierarchical control strategy is used to decompose the nonlinear consensus problems into two sub-problems, i.e., the tracking problems between individuals and the reference models, and the distributed consensus control among reference models and the leader. For the former, a robust ADHDP method is used to make the states of the follower track that of the reference model. For the latter, the value iteration method is used to derive the distributed optimal reference control. A simulation is given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
