The autonomous decision-making method of agents based on the Actor-Critic architecture in deep reinforcement learning (DRL) has gradually become the mainstream paradigm for current unmanned systems control methods. However, the Actor-Critic architecture typically requires a large amount of computational resources and time, posing a significant challenge for practical applications of DRL. In this article, a generic model for Actor-Critic with joint policy gradient constraint (GCF) and multi-scenario experience enhancement is proposed to accelerate agent training. In our approach, firstly, a GCF mechanism is adopted, wherein during the optimization process of the network model, the gradients of the Critic network are directly back-propagated to the representation network, while the gradients of the Actor network are directly truncated. This mechanism ensures that the updates to the representation network during the network model optimization process come from a single network, thereby stabilizing the network model optimization. Secondly, we distribute the training scenarios of the agents, enabling the agents to have more heterogeneous sample experiences in a single optimization process. We adapt the proximity policy optimisation (PPO) algorithm for GCF with multi-scenario experience enhancement and validate it in a typical UAV obstacle avoidance scenario. The result of the experiments demonstrate that our method is effective in accelerating policy convergence in the UAV obstacle avoidance scenario, with advantages over traditional methods being notably evident. © 2024 ieee.

Wireless Sensor systems (WSN) is a broad, exciting area with new perspectives and growing growth over the past decades, where more research is being done. WSNs contain many (hundreds of thousands) of micro-sized, cheap chips, powered by low-cost wireless interconnected batteries. These chips are called nodes, which could be of several types, including acoustic, radar, low-frequency magnetic, thermal, and visual sampling frequencies. Many applications are based nowadays on WSN, such as environmental control, smart cities, wildlife monitoring, vehicles and infrastructure, natural disasters, home security, underwater investigations, military, airplane surveillance and drone body sensors. One of the aims of the paper is to develop a smart architecture based on intelligent microprocessor sensors, WSN802GCA/GPA and the software needed to operate with a TINI control unit. TINI allows this system to be connected to Ethernet via TCP/IP © 2023 ieee.

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) system is widely used in archives management, intelligent warehousing, and other industries due to the advantages of insensitivity to liquid, controllable reading range and high reading density. However, in the application scenario of dense tags inventory, the position of the tags relative to the readers is different and dense tags are coupled with each other, so the intensity range of the tag response is wide. To ensure that all tags can be inventoried exactly, the readers are required to have a high dynamic range. In this paper, considering the relationship between receiving gain and anti-collision flow, a method of receiving gain monitoring and dynamic regulation for high-frequency RFID systems is designed. The experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively improve the dynamic range of the reader on the premise of ensuring the efficiency of inventory. © 2023 ieee.

The experience of developing an intelligent system for controlling the temperature of network water at the outlet of a waste heat boiler is considered. When developing an intelligent control system, a number of sequential control tasks were solved: creating a model of a waste heat boiler based on neural network technologies, studying the frequency characteristics of a neural network model, identification of the structure and parameters of a control object, synthesizing a typical controller, creating an algorithm for adapting parameters of a typical controller based on a fuzzy logic apparatus. The waste heat boiler was chosen as the control object. The control object is represented by a multidimensional thermodynamic system with non-linear parameters. Training and verification of the neural network model took place on the data of the technological process of gas energy utilization. Frequency identification methods were used to identify the structure and parameters of the control object. The algorithm for adapting the parameters of a typical controller contains sets of parameters of a typical controller for different system states with different bandwidths. The article presents a description of the stages of synthesis of an intelligent control system, the results of studying a neural network model in the frequency domain, the result of identifying the structure and parameters of a control object, calculating the parameters of a typical controller for different system states, description a fuzzy adaptation algorithm, and modeling results. © 2022 ieee.

An electric vehicle (EV) is propelled by an electric motor rather than an internal combustion engine, which produces power by burning a mixture of fuel and gases. In order to solve issues like increasing pollution, global warming, the loss of natural resources, etc., such a vehicle is therefore being considered as a potential replacement for current-generation cars. many types of electric vehicles, such as EVs, HEVs, PHEVs, and FCHEVs. Since brushless DC motors (BLDC), particularly in the field of motor control, are becoming more and more popular in a variety of applications. The main goal of this paper is to simulate the speed control of a BLDC motor powered by a fuel cell and a battery using MATLAB/SIMULINK. It also compares the performance of a sinusoidal back EMF motor with a trapezoidal back EMF motor, concluding that the latter is preferable due to its higher efficiency, reduced torque ripple, smooth motion, and dynamic response. © 2023 ieee.

The Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 MAX crash invited attention to the potential conflicts during human-computer interaction (HCI) caused by the introduction of intelligent-assisted decision-making systems, which can impact the safety of the human-machine system. To understand the dynamics of this interaction, this study suggests a new approach combining evolutionary game theory, system dynamics, and fuzzy inference that can model and analyze HCI. Evolutionary game theory is suitable for describing the HCI process owing to its nature of cooperation and game between operators and intelligent decision-making systems. By modeling the HCI as an evolutionary game process, we can identify strategies, comprehend the dynamics and evolution of each strategy, and predict the outcomes under different scenarios. Further, system dynamics is employed to establish the utilization, maintenance, and enhancement process of human-machine systems and to determine the relevant parameters in evolutionary game models. Finally, fuzzy interface is employed to tackle the complexity and uncertainty in the model. The results indicate that this proposed approach can offer valuable insights into the dynamics of HCI and facilitate the design of better human-computer systems. © 2023 ieee.

In this article, we study the enclosing control problem for a group of agents of second-order dynamics with a moving target of unknown velocity. In particular, only one pathfinder has access to the relative position information of the target, and the target velocity is modeled as a dynamic signal generated by an exogenous linear system. Using the local relative position measurements, an observer of the target position is developed for each agent, based on which an estimator is designed for each agent to estimate the dynamic target velocity. Furthermore, based on the estimates of the target position and target velocity, a distributed control law is proposed for each agent consisting of distance regulation respect to the target and angle repulsion to its neighbors in conjunction with compensation of the target velocity. It is theoretically shown that the multi-agent system can globally asymptotically track the dynamic target with a circular formation of desired radius and arbitrary interval pattern. Finally, the proposed control law is shown to be effective by a simulation example. © 2023 ieee.

Industrial cyber-physical systems (ICPS) integrate physical processes with computational and communication technologies in industrial settings. With the support of edge computing technology, it is feasible to schedule large-scale sensors for efficient distributed sensing. In the sensing process, observability is the key to obtaining complete system states, and stochastic scheduling is more suitable considering uncertain factors in wireless communication. However, existing works have limited research on observability in stochastic scheduling. Targeting this issue, we propose an observability-based intelligent distributed edge sensing method (OIDM). Deep reinforcement learning (DRL) methods are adopted to optimize sensing accuracy and power efficiency. Based on the system’s ability to achieve observability, we establish a bridge between observability and the number of successful sensor transmissions. Novel linear approximations of observability criteria are provided, and probabilistic bounds on observability are derived. Furthermore, these bounds guide the design of action space to achieve a probabilistic observability guarantee in stochastic scheduling. Finally, our proposed method is applied to the estimation of slab temperature in industrial hot rolling process, and simulation results validate its effectiveness.

While fundamental communication in wireless networks relies on time synchronization, it also enables motion, location, and proximity sensing. Four features-time spent sending and receiving, accessing and distributing-define the synchronization challenge. Three modern synchronization strategies are presented: sensor networks' broadcast and temporal synchronization protocols and the Flooding Synchronize Time Protocol. In addition, industrial examples and security concerns are discussed. This study of 32 survey paper articles investigates numerous existing techniques, protocols, and crucial temporal aspects for achieving accurate coordination in a sensor network. An all-node method, a diffusion-based strategy, and group sync techniques are application-specific solutions that strive to provide network-wide synchronization. Traditional time synchronization protocols like RBS and TPSN are also available. A new kind of scalable, topologically independent, fast-converging, energy-efficient, less-latent, and application-dependent system is needed, and this study will examine the most popular current time synchronization methods to bring attention to this requirement. An approach to secure time synchronization under dangerous conditions. This survey's various examined criteria provide a solid foundation for evaluating novel and present synchronization strategies. © 2024 ieee.

The need for increased sustainability and efficiency in the energy industry has led to a major increase in interest in the development of cyber-physical systems (CPS) in the smart grid domain in recent years. In the context of the smart grid, the term "CPS"refers to a network of physical objects, sensors, and communication systems that are interconnected and allow for the smooth exchange of data and control signals to optimize the production, distribution, and use of electricity. Demand response, energy management, and grid optimization are just a few of the smart grid applications that can be successfully implemented by utilizing CPS's capabilities. On the other side, blockchain technology provides a decentralized and secure framework for logging and validating transactions among numerous organizations. Since it is distributed, there is no need for middlemen, transparency is improved, and data integrity and immutability are all guaranteed. These qualities make blockchain an excellent choice for tackling the issues that the smart grid is facing, such as data privacy, security, and stakeholder confidence. There are many advantages to integrating blockchain and CPS in the smart grid. First and foremost, a decentralized and democratized energy market is made possible by blockchain, which enables safe and effective peer-to-peer energy trade among prosumers. This increases sustainability by encouraging the use of renewable energy sources and reducing dependency on centralized power generation. In conclusion, there is enormous potential for improving sustainability through the smart grid's integration of blockchain technology with cyber-physical systems. © 2023 ieee.
