Road traffic accidents result in the death of approximately 1.3 million people worldwide each year, and 20 to 50 million people suffer injuries. The goal of zero accidents on the road is becoming more achievable thanks to the advent of connected vehicles. As more and more vehicles become connected, the potential for zero accidents becomes increasingly realistic. However, these possibilities will also present new problems for the automakers. One such is cyber security in the reason because software flaws could jeopardize the security of connected car features and systems. This paper sheds light on another possible way of preventing cyber-attacks by isolating the cloud from cellular traffic in connected cars architecture and appending the cloud with cloud Access Security Brokers to provide security and control access to cloud resources. We outline ways to various access control modules in the architecture. © 2023 ieee.

Adapting threat detection and response procedures is essential for businesses to stay ahead of the constantly developing cyberattack landscape. Researching cutting-edge tools like XDR, SIEM, SOAR, and NDR - which shed light on the dynamic realm of detection and response systems - is crucial. Other areas of investigation include real-time monitoring and network forensics. Security and threat detection have both been greatly enhanced since businesses began storing their apps and data in the cloud. In order to safeguard vulnerable network infrastructures in cloud settings against advanced attacks, traditional security procedures must be revised. Artificial intelligence (AI) is used to learn more about this problem so that threat reaction and identification can be done more quickly and accurately. Artificial intelligence has changed cloud security and threat identification, as this study shows. Because cyberattacks on cloud infrastructures and service providers are becoming more common, strong security steps that are also easy to use are still needed. This piece will talk about how cloud security and AI operations work together, with a focus on how this collaboration speeds up the time it takes to respond to incidents. The paper will also show how this relationship helps a company improve its defences and lessen the impact of security events. Organisations that want to keep up with the constantly changing danger landscape need to use cloud security and AI and understand how the two work together. This is because it is necessary to keep a security stance that is both flexible and strong. © 2024 ieee.

An analysis of drone detection methods was carried out in this paper. There is a reasoned choice of the optimal method for implementation based on the analysis of acoustic signals generated by drones. The set of methods of acoustic signal analysis is presented. These methods provide the measurement of drone coordinates and complement each other depending on the flight conditions. The structure of a distributed sensor network oriented on the online detection of drones and their tracking has been synthesized. The developed system provides the appropriate complexity as well as large flexibility and scalability. © 2023 ieee.

Today's world is driven by automation, wherein it has taken the world by storm. One of its products, which is currently in development (and improvisation) is the Autonomous Vehicles. These vehicles are equipped with various types of sensors which all work in unison, thanks to different types of mathematical modelling which support the whole structure. This paper aims to develop a working model of different motion types of Autonomous Vehicles using a mathematical formal method called specifically Petri Nets Modelling. This includes models of traffic light detection, pedestrian Crossing models and Parking Behaviour using Petri Nets. In the paper, different types of decision-based problems faced by Autonomous vehicles such as Pedestrian Crossing, Traffic light behaviour and Parking behaviour were discussed and to address the gaps found in the research done to date and proposed desired solutions for them. Proper justification for the use of Petri Nets over other types of formal methods is also provided. Moving on to the proposed model which has been devised and the premises and assumptions used to formulate the model for different scenarios. Reaching the end, proper conclusion is provided by discussing the possible future directions considering the development of different behaviours of autonomous vehicles. © 2023 ieee.

This paper aims to design an adaptive fault-like model-based sliding-mode control (SMC) law for a class of vehicle platoon systems, where the follower vehicles have quantized input, unknown actuator deadzone, and distance restrictions. Using adaptive terminal sliding mode control method and barrier Lyapunov function (BLF), an adaptive controller is designed to ensure the collision avoidance and communication connection keeping. In addition, the problem of the unknown actuator deadzone and input quantization is first transformed to a fault-like problem, which will simplify the control design procedure. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy is verified by a numerical example. © 2022 ieee.

In this paper, we present a systematic literature review on the role of intelligent control systems in optimizing power and energy management for smart buildings. Using the PRISMA methodology to ensure the quality of the review, we analyzed 214 relevant articles retrieved from databases such as ScienceDirect, Scopus, Google Scholar, and ieee Xplore. Our review synthesizes recent findings and identifies trends in the integration of intelligent systems for improving energy efficiency, balancing energy consumption, and enabling smart automation in buildings. This work highlights the latest advances, key research areas, and future opportunities for deploying intelligent control systems to address energy challenges in smart buildings.

This study focuses mostly on modelling longevity and, to a lesser extent, aging in electrical machine insulation systems. This is a description of the various aging processes, including partial discharges. In light of earlier studies and the findings of the current study, it can be said that no one method-not even accelerated lifetime tests-is capable of producing lifetime models that take into account all of the stress elements in an easy-to-understand manner. As a result, the concepts of several regression approaches (design of experiments, response surface, multilinear, and robust regression) are presented and used with a constrained number of trials, hence lowering experimental cost. Tests on a variety of insulating materials were conducted in order to firmly suggest a certain kind. © 2023 ieee.

An online voting system for elections in India is first described in this application. As the high-security password of the voter must be checked before the vote is tallied in the main database of the Election Commission of India, the recommended approach has more security. The additional feature of the model enables the voter to confirm that their vote was cast for the appropriate candidate party. Under this system, a voter has the choice to cast a ballot from a location different than the one that is assigned to them or from their preferred website. The recommended technology will automatically count the votes, saving a considerable amount of time and enabling the Indian Election Commissioner to announce the results in a very condensed time. © 2023 ieee.

Due to the explosion of online educational resources, the protection and management of educational multimedia data have become more challenging. Blockchain has emerged as a promising technology for copyright management due to its decentralized and traceable nature. However, it still faces problems such as difficulties in copyright maintenance and delays in the consensus process, especially for educational multimedia data with large amounts of data, high demand for privacy, and many participants. This paper proposes a secure and trustworthy copyright protection method based on a redactable blockchain to address these issues. We use a decentralized chameleon hash function for copyright maintenance to enable trusted blockchain editing. This can promptly modify infringing copyrights to complete efficient copyright maintenance. For the delay during consensus, we design a consensus mechanism called Proof of Behavior (PoB) based on the Bayesian network (BN), which can achieve fast and reliable consensus by predicting user behavior and selecting highly trusted nodes to participate in consensus. Finally, We conduct simulation experiments to validate the performance of our proposed approach. Specifically, our approach effectively reduces storage space by 5%-10% comparable to other blockchain solutions and enhances system scalability and security. © 2023 ieee.
