Fault detection is the process of detecting and diagnosing faults or abnormalities in a system by analyzing its operational data. However, with the complexity of modern industrial processes, some faults are difficult to be detected in a timely manner due to various factors such as noise and data nonlinearity. Therefore, data-driven Fault Detection (FD) has become a widely used method to detect abnormal events in functional modules. Non-negative Matrix Factorization (NMF), as an efficient dimensionality reduction technique, has not had potential applications in fault detection (FD) thoroughly explored. In order to improve the FD methods based on NMF, we have developed a new approach, named graph low-rank non-negative matrix Factorization with auto-encoders (GLNMFA). GLN-MFA integrates the Laplacian operator effectively identifies t he l ocal s tructure a mong d ata p oints, enhancing the performance of dimensionality reduction algorithms. It also introduces the nuclear norm to find a low-rank approximation to the original matrix, thereby constraining sparsity. Additionally, auto-encoders are incorporated to learn a low-dimensional representation of the data and extract key features, which are subsequently applied for fault detection purposes. We employ an optimization algorithm based on Alternating Direction Method of Multipliers (ADMM) to optimize this model. Two test statistics T2 (Hotelling's T-squared), SPE (Squared Prediction Error) are used to evaluate detection efficiency. K ernel Density Estimation (KDE) are used to estimate control limits for fault detection. The effectiveness of GLNMFA is validated on two benchmark datasets. © 2024 ieee.

The exponential increase in the number of automobiles on the road has caused pollution, gridlock, and logistical transit delays in densely populated places. A new invention, the Internet of Things (IoT) is guiding the cosmos towards intelligent management systems and automated procedures. The advancement of automation and smart societies relies on this management of congestion and traffic control that are both effective and dependable and can save a lot of valuable resources. Autonomous cars and smart gadgets use an Internet of Things (IoT)-based ITM system of sensors to detect, collect, and communicate data. The transportation system may also benefit from machine learning (ML). Many problems plague current transport management methods, leading to gridlock, delays, and a high number of casualties. This study details the process of developing and launching an ATM that makes use of machine learning and the Internet of Things. Transportation, physical structures, and occurrences are the three pillars upon which the suggested system rests. The design takes into account every potential difficulty with the transportation system by using many scenarios. Using the machine learning-based DBSCAN clustering technology, the suggested ATM systems further guarantee that no inadvertent abnormalities are overlooked. The proposed ATM model can adapt the timing of the traffic lights based on current conditions as well as predicted movements at nearby crossings. Reducing traffic congestion eases vehicles over green lights and shortens travel times by improving the transition between turns. The experimental findings show that the proposed ATM system significantly outperformed the conventional traffic-management method, making it the ideal candidate for use in smart-city-based transportation planning. The proposed ATM system aims to reduce road accidents, improve the overall route experience, and minimise vehicle waiting durations. © 2024 ieee.

This paper proposes a dual channel control mechanism, including continuous control and event-triggered control (ETC). For the nonsmooth desired trajectory, the tracking differentiator (TD) is used to obtain the smooth approximation of the generalized derivative of the desired trajectory. For the non differentiable points of the rough trajectory, the piecewise time-varying buffer function is used to adjust the parameters of TD to avoid the control signal spike caused by the differential output signal of TD at the non-differentiable time of the rough trajectory. Then, the anti-disturbance controller of quadrotor is designed by backstepping method. It is worth noting that the proposed control law is the control input of the rotor end, not the thrust and torque vectors. Finally, the effectiveness of the controller is verified by digital simulation. © 2023 ieee.

The field of 'Internet of Things' (IoT) technology is exploding because of the quick advancements in automation technologies, embedded systems, and networking. It has become an integral part of Home automation which is the combination of sensor networks, cloud computing, monitoring, and control. This paper discusses networking and provides two distinct methods for managing network-connected appliances as well as two different strategies for controlling the connected appliances and devices resulting in the enhancement of the system's robustness and overall stability. LoRa and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi technology have been used for the networking architecture of the appliances. Direct load control and phase angle-based voltage control methods are designed and developed for controlling the connected appliances. The distinct wireless technologies increase the stability of data transmission while ensuring minimum power consumption. AC voltage control methodology followed in this research also improves the robustness of the control systems. A mobile application platform is also developed and presented in this paper which is used to monitor and control the appliances, also known as sensor nodes. © 2022 ieee.

In recent years, the advancement of Recon-figurable intelligent Surfaces (RIS) in wireless communications has empowered the control of radio waves, mitigating the adverse effects of natural wireless propagation. This technology has demonstrated substantial gains in spectrum within wireless net-works. Concurrently, Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) technology has emerged as a promising solution to enhance spectrum efficiency in fifth-generation and subsequent wireless networks. Motivated by these advancements, we explore the ap-plication of RIS-based NOMA networks in the downlink scenario, incorporating interference Full-Duplex (FD) with two users. Furthermore, we assess the performance of the proposed system by analyzing the Outage Probability (OP) through analytical derivations. Simulation results underscore: (i) the validation of analytical formulas;and (ii) the pivotal role played by the number of metasurfaces in RIS, transmit power at the base station, power allocation parameters, target data rate for two users in enhancing system performance. © 2024 ieee.

Blockchain technology has lately piqued the curiosity of many in the development, professional, and business communities. Many fields have recently shown fresh interest in it as a result of its deployment, including supply chain management, electronic banking, telemedicine, home automation, the IoT, and social security administration. There has been less attention to theoretical framework analysis in the written blockchain exams, with much of the focus being on design performance. Having said that, this research just shows how mining works. Presently used security techniques for the IoT are either exceedingly tough to breach or exceedingly complex to employ. Data transmission performance in the internet of things is limited by its complexity. In order to better comprehend the theoretical and practical components of the blockchain, this article proposes a model based on the lining hypothesis. In the following paragraphs, they have an examination at how blockchain technology is being used to integrate with the Internet of Things (IoT), specifically at the IIoT and the IoT powered by blockchain. Results show that when comparing the current approach to the proposed strategy, the latter performs better with respect to overhead, packet delay ratio, throughput, and delay compensation. In comparison with conventional centralised methods, our solution provides better privacy protection, resilience, and dependability, making it a major step forward in the area of IoT-driven security systems. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

The conventional model predictive control (MPC) method for virtual synchronous generator (VSG) is sensitive to the parameter uncertain changes, resulting in poor voltage control performance. To solve this problem, in this paper, a parameter identification method for robust MPC of VSG based on two sliding mode observers is proposed. In this paper, the theories of the VSG as well as the MPC are first reviewed. Next, based on the mathematical model of the inverter with a LC filter, a current sliding mode observer and a voltage sliding mode observer are designed. Then, by analyzing the parameter sensitivity of the proposed current and voltage sliding mode observer to the filter capacitance and inductance, a capacitance as well as an inductance closed-loop identification method are designed using proportional-integral controller. Eventually, dynamic state experimental studies are con-ducted, which verify the effectiveness of proposed parameter identification method and the parameter identification-based robust MPC method for VSG. ©2023 ieee.

This paper proposed a simulator of power consumption for pulse consumers (in particular, microcontrollers, henceforth MC). It simulates the character of their power consumption. Due to the function of self-correction of error of circuit components, the simulator provides high accuracy. At the same time, the simulator provides a simulation of the MC operation at frequencies that considerably exceed the frequency of the MC clock generator. This eliminates frequency errors when calibrating the measuring channels of devices and systems designed to measure the MC's power consumption. Due to the calibration, these measurement channels can provide traceability of measurements when studying the MC's power consumption when executing instructions, commands, programs, and their fragments. The simulator can be a reference for creating the system of metrological service of the specified above measurement channels. © 2023 ieee.

In order to launch the information projects in power supply enterprises, this paper studies the information evolution process in power supply enterprises and presents the stages, and establishes a smart grid engineering reference framework based on it to guide the formulation of project plans. First, a detailed analysis of the information development characteristics in power supply enterprises is presented, and information evolution process can be divided into four stages/levels including special business automation, information integration standardization, process-oriented business processing and intelligent management decision-making. Based on this, a smart grid engineering reference framework for power supply enterprises is designed, which can be a reference for the development of smart grid project plans, and its effectiveness is demonstrated by a real case. © 2023 ieee.
